Bad customer service, workers are preoccupied with chatting with each other over the headsets. Instead of having one person help us, I had to ask three different people at three different times, they would disappear. It seemed like they don't like working there or are super lazy because they would ignore customers. I asked for a one shoe in a size then a bigger size they took 2 seconds in the back and they didn't have it then I asked them to look at a different store and guess what they mysteriously had the shoe after all, hmm maybe they didn't really look the first time. I have NO IDEA why this Finish Line has bad reviews. That was NOT the experience we had. My hubby and I went into this location for the first time yesterday. I was just looking for shoes for work. We were greeted immediately. Tim is the guy who helped us. I think he is one of the best sales people I've ever worked with. Yes, this place is filled with 20-something guys and gals working. They talk to one another. But at no time, did they ignore us, or our needs. Once I found the shoe I wanted, Tim talked to us about size. I asked for a 9,,,,,he brought 9 and 9 1/2. He had me try on both, and walk around in them. I bought the 9 1/2. Tim educated me on why a 1/2 size up is better for me. He was right. Tim also talked to my husband about shoes that would be good for him. My hubby has Fred Flintstone type feet. Super wide....and he needs to good arch support. Tim gave us lots of good options and his opinions on what would be good for my hubby. In the end, I got my brand new Nikes,,,,and we shook hands with Tim and Thanked him for his great service. Im not sure if people are bitter, or in a bad mood when they shop here,, but we had a great experience, and I would go back in a heartbeat to buy more shoes. Thanks Tim, and Finish Line!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! This store has to be the most unprofessional , unorganized, and upright most disrespectful store I have ever been to. I heard the release for today 8/17 was supposed to be a first come first serve basis which was no problem. Got in line at 6AM To my surprise after standing in line waiting for 2 & a HALF HOURS , an " employee " Josue told the manager that they should do a raffle after we had already been standing in a uniform line. Like what kind of a manager let's some " employee " call the shots?!?!! I have a video recorded to prove that we were already in line. Once informed about the raffle the supervisor started handing out raffle tickets to people who weren't even in the first 20 of the line, even giving those tickets who wasn't even there for the raffle in the first place which most tickets weren't even ripped . Giving them the winning part of the ticket as well. We were told the raffle would be called at 10 am & and was called shortly after the tickets were given out. -_- The most surprising & unfair thing was that those who were chosen were either Hispanics or Asians who weren't even in the beginning of the line, and later came to the line. Employees were behind the gate talking TRASH about us, and other CUSTOMERS trying to escalate the situation even more thinking they were all tough, because security was in front of them. There were multiple parties of ppl who ended up getting more than 1 pair which in my eyes was very unfair. I don't think this type of service nor customer appreciation is acceptable at all. At the end of the day we are all people and should be all treated wither same level of respect, and opportunity. I will be taking my business elsewhere, because Champs, Footlocker, Six:02 ETC. I don't know why this location has only two and a half stars because I had a positive experience here last Friday night. Michael was friendly and helpful. After I showed him what I wanted, he wasted no time bringing the shoe boxes. The shoe laces for the pair I chose were different from the standard kind so I asked him how I would tighten the shoes if I wanted to. I like how this guy was patient and he didn't make me feel like I was bothering him. I noticed the other employees while I was trying on the shoes and they seemed nice to one another and the customers. I approve of the customer service here! read more

Never again will we shop here! My husband and I came here on Saturday 2/7/15 around 11am. We understand the shoes are pretty pricey and we were there to BUY! Well my husband asks for a size 9 in a style he wants the girl goes to the back to check. While she is doing that I found a style I want for myself and for my son (total $109 for both) well the lady comes back with a size 9.5 for my husband never says if they had the 9 or not, he tries it on, it doesn't fit tells her he wants the 9. She tells us "oh I thought you wanted to just try them on I didn't know you wanted to buy them." What is that suppose to mean? Did we not look rich enough to have those shoes or something. For the Main Finish Line in the Los Cerritos shopping Center (Not the Finish Line in Macys). I needed to find the best shock absorbing shoes on the market because I was suffering from extreme foot fatigue from work. I visited every shoe store in both the Lakewood and Cerritos mall, in addition to my Internet searching, when I finally decided that the Finish Line in the Cerritos mall was the way to go (Great selection). I was first helped by Chris Kim (Sales associate). Chris went above and beyond in helping me decide on shoe, insole insert. He was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and helpful in every way. I wore the shoes with insoles for a couple days and they just weren't working out (no fault to Chris's help in anyway). I wasn't aware how the builtin arch would affect my feet without extended ware. I went back to Finish Line in order to just return and/or exchange the insoles, only, hoping that a different pair of insoles would fix the shoes arch problem. Chris wan't working yet so AJ R. helped me. After AJ R. learned of my problem he consulted with Crista and the manager Tim Huff (Usually after the shoe has gained noticeable wear, most shoe stores won't exchange or take returns of a shoe). Tim Huff explained that Finish Line believes that the customers safety and satisfaction is the most important aspect to Finish Lines business beliefs and that even though my shoes couldn't be returned to the shelf after the wear i put on them, that Finish Line wouldn't allow me to have a pair of shoes that came from their store and that may end up hurting my feet, and that they could exchange them for me. So after the shock (and relief) I felt when AJ R. told me Crista and Tim said I could exchange the shoes, AJ R (WHO WAS THEN WORKING OFF THE CLOCK on his free time) stayed and helped me with finding the perfect shoes and insoles for me until Chris arrived to work (I was there a long time trying on many shoes, jogging up and down the store in order to feel the shoes out, asking multiple questions, etc,) Finally as a team AJ R., Chris Kim, Crista, and Tim Huff (and myself), found the correct shoe, insole pair for me. They saved me alot of money since the new pair of shoes i ended up buying were less expensive. With the left over money I was able to get and extra pair of insoles and 12 pairs of socks! Yeah, 12! and also a can of shoe cleaner. As i was checking out, Tim noticed that the pair of insoles I had been wearing were getting old and replaced them with a new pair, FREE (they had a one year manufacture warranty that I wasn't aware of). The BOTTOM LINE is when a store gets a yelp review it's not the store that is getting the real review, it's the employees. The employees in the Cerritos Mall (Main store) Finish Line shoe store proved beyond a doubt that they care about their customers. They are knowledgeable, quick, professional, honest, and they sincerely wish that the shoe fits the needs of the buyer. I just hope i have done them halve as much justice with this meager yelp as they did me. I went in store to purchase a pair of Nike Air Max, but they did not have my size. The worker asked if I would want to make an online purchase through the store, which I agreed on. I provided the shipping address to the worker and even corrected her twice when she got our address wrong. The next thing I know, the package wasnt delivered because of "incorrect" address information, and I realized that the worker did not correct the wrong address information when I specifically pointed it out to her. So I called Finish Line to correct the mistake, and the worker "corrected" the address and told me to wait an extra week. I willingly waited, and I realized that this worker made the SAME mistake by only correcting the address on their system and not to the UPS system. If the workers ACTUALLY decided to take the time to look into their mistakes, then maybe none of this would have happened, and I wouldnt had to have my packaged delayed TWICE. Thanks for the horrible experience, and Im never shopping at Finish Line again. read more

I just purchased a pair of Jordan's for my son Jordan true flights last size 8 they were on sale for 109.00 I noticed they were a bit discoloration on the right side of the shoe couldn't really tell unless you looked closely but still it bothered me a little bit not so much my son of course he would end up getting them dirty eventually but the fact that I'm purchasing something I would expect it in better condition I requested to see if he could give me a small discount on the shoe whether it would have been 10% or 15% at least something , it would have made me a little happier .. he. did attempt to clean it he agreed that he did notice it! And could not get rid of discoloration But still refused to give me any discount I say this is poor customer service . nicely I asked to see if I can get a manager to help Juan said he was one of the managers I bought them anyway my son really wanted them yeah I guess I could have ordered them but then have to wait anyway it was just the point that juan could have made me happy as a customer and decided it wasn't worth it read more

I know nothing about this retail store but bought shoes from their online store. My Mizuno Wave Rider 17 lasted 3 runs, with about a 2 inch piece of the sole coming off after the 3rd run. I had not used them for a few months as I was still using my old shoes in the interim but when I complained online, they were very uncooperative. Never will buy anything from them again read more

This is my very first yelp review ever, but I felt the need to speak up about this trip to Finish Line, I purchased a pair of shoes that fell apart within 3 weeks, they were nice enough to exchange them but on the day I came into the store I had just come from a pedicure an hour prior, I was in Sandles so the employee loaned me a pair of socks. I tried on a few pair of shoes moved seats twice because I thought the person next to me had stinky feet. Guess what? it was the Socks!!! I was so disgusted. I confronted both the employee and Mgr.and asked "Would you wear a stinky socks that have probably never been washed?" He was honest and said No. The Mgr. was very nice so was the worker, except a little dingy as he was about to put the socks back for the next customer. It's not their fault probably the owners policy but its poor hygiene, disgusting and unfortunately they lost a customer not be coming back to this store. read more

We used to always buy our shoes at this Cerritos Store #142 but recently we tried not to come back at this particular store even though we are just 5min. away from the store. The reason being is that every time we go to this store some of the employees give us an attitude or never as friendly and we didn't think our money is worth spending at this particular store, but today 7/27/2015 we came back to give it another try also because my spouse needed a work out shoes, and while looking around and asking for particular walking/running shoes this particular employee (Timothy) was the one that helped us and this employee (Timothy) was just super friendly, very helpful and patient with us the whole entire time, at first I just thought maybe he was new, but my spouse asked him if he was the manager and he said Yes he is the new Store Manager, and No wonder the environment of the store had change dramatically, Timothy was just extremely friendly with each and every customer that walked in and his employee as well are going beyond to help and accommodate all their customer, this time we didn't feel as uncomfortable of going into this store compare to our last purchase here...Timothy is a great leader and we can see his rubbing on his great personality to all of him employees, Timothy set a really Great Example!!
