A second pressure-treated fence post has rotted in my Ergeon fence. Pressure-treated lumber should…read morelast 10 to 15 years, if not longer. As with the first rotted post, which Ergeon replaced while the fence was still under warranty last year, the concrete footing appears not to have been properly sloped to shed water. This post is located in an area that gets wet only when it rains, yet it has still rotted. The problem appears to be a defect in the original installation, exactly like the post approximately eight feet away that Ergeon replaced under warranty. Ergeon's subcontractors may work quickly, but my fence suggests that speed does not translate into quality workmanship. When I contacted Ergeon, I was told the post was outside the warranty period. When I expressed my disappointment that Ergeon would not take responsibility for what appears to be an installation defect, I was then told that Ergeon no longer replaces individual posts and instead replaces entire fence panels. Perhaps that policy is intended to discourage customers from pursuing relatively minor repairs. It certainly seems like a convenient way to turn a defective post into a much larger repair at the customer's expense. I politely declined to pay for an unnecessary full-panel replacement. A few weeks later, I received a message from Juan asking whether I was available between 1 pm and 3 pm on August 5 for an Ergeon representative to address the post. I replied that I was surprised to hear from him after previously being told that Ergeon would replace only the entire panel. I confirmed that I was available and asked for additional information about the work. No response. I followed up again this morning. Still no response. One o'clock came and went. Then three o'clock. No representative arrived, and no one contacted me. Ergeon appears to rely on a seemingly endless supply of new customers rather than supporting the customers it already has. That's a remarkably shortsighted business model. Most residential properties have at least three fenced sides. A customer who hires Ergeon to install one section of fencing could easily return for the remaining sections, provided the company delivers quality work and stands behind it. There's also the matter of referrals. After my fence was installed, a handful of neighbors asked for Ergeon's contact information. I've since told my neighbors that, Ergeon may not be the best choice for a fence installation - based on my experience. I hope this review gives you a healthy warning about Ergeon. It may not affect Ergeon's bottom line, but prospective customers deserve to know how the company handles apparent installation defects, warranty concerns, and scheduled service visits that simply don't happen.

I would have never seen this if it wasn't for the ladder and the top down view. As you can see in the photo, several screws completely missed the structural post and are just hanging in the gap. It's frustrating to see "professional" work where the hardware doesn't actually connect the fence to the support. I really expected better quality control than this. If you use them, I'd recommend double-checking the joints yourself to make sure everything is actually secured. I made the mistake of never checking until now.

The large company we were trying to work with just couldn't get the estimate and job details clear after multiple visits to both ours and our neighbors property. I was so fed up! I asked my husband to find a reputable small local company and he found us Integrity Fence. Brian came out, looked at the job and said he can take it on in a couple weeks! He gave us a detailed and very descriptive estimate with multiple add-on options and a breakdown of the cost for each. There was little confusion, and we were able to come to an easy compromise with the owners of the neighboring property. Integrity fence was an absolute joy to have on our property! They are friendly and maintained professionalism while we had other contractors working in the back yard as well. They cleaned up their job site and disposed of our old fence. The fence is stunning and currently holding up against direct 35MPH gusts with ease. We are so pleased! I 10 out of 10 recommend hiring Integrity fence for your upcoming fence project! They are professional, they have excellent communication, their estimates are easy to understand and very clear on the work to be performed. Bonus points that they are a local, family owned and operated business!

I contacted Javier…read morewhen my neighbor and I were looking through potential contractors to replace our shared fence - which was the original fence from when the house was built. Since then, I've had 2 of my 3 backyard fence sections replaced and had metal side gates installed and it's been a great experience through the whole process from the estimate to the end of the project. I appreciate Javier's honesty and the respect he shows to his customers because he is attentive and really listens to our needs for the project and ensures those things are done. He is also very accommodating and was kind enough to save some of the more structurally sound old fence boards for my neighbor, who crafts with old wood. Javier and his team leave the area neat and, at times, cleaner than when they arrive. I would definitely hire JOA Fence again for my next fence project! Additional notes: This is a review that's long overdue. The fences I replaced in 2021 and 2022 were original fencing, and they've been holding up through all the crazy storms that have hit. I I love the metal side gates and opted to have gates installed on both ends of my yard. Javier has a portfolio of different gate designs, and I selected the metal with wood inlay with an arch and scroll design. I requested spear tips to be added to the top so it would match the design of the existing front gate.

This has been an ongoing issue, and I decided to have the damaged sections replaced instead of repaired. David was prompt to look over the fence and provided me with a fair and reasonable estimate. A week later, David and his crew came to replace the damaged fence, and I could not be any happier with his work. The delay in this review was due to my neighbors being away on vacation, and I was waiting for their reaction to the fence. My neighbor was as pleased with the work as I am, and we cannot thank Mega Fence enough.

Some time later we wanted to add a wrought iron fence and gates in the front yard so we obtained a quote. Ultimately, we went with Mega Fence for their availability to start sooner than another company we had in line. I will say the company is best with wood fencing and not so much in working with iron. There are things that left us dissatisfied: ~Timing of the project was not clearly communicated ~Materials/products used were not as we specified ~Workmanship left flaws, scratches and a dent on Iron and uneven finishes to the work In all, David did agree to reduce cost due to the outcome, making our out-of-pocket fixes less of a burden.
