Spoke to Matt about it, who was kind, patient and professional, and we had to agree that my $100 amp was going to cost about the same to repair it...if able. Ergo, another fine looking physically mint condition piece of equipment has to be replaced and recycled. Sad that it's more logical to replace with a new warranty amp than attempt repair on this one... Thanks Matt for your valuable time, patience and knowledge!

For those who have an instrument or two suffering as a result due to Vegas weather I have found a place of repair for you that is quick, affordable and does excellent work. I have played for over 60 years, have a lot of acoustic instruments and a few of them have suffered due to the Vegas weather. I found one luthier who was quite affordable ... but his bandage style repair work left a lot to be desired. I found another luthier with an astounding reputation ... but was available by appointment only and charged nearly what an instrument cost to do the repairs. Like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, I landed one that was just right on my third try. Vegas Guitars, located at 3975 W Quail Ave #4, Las Vegas, NV 89118 (702) 884-7490. Adam Pero is your go to guy for acoustic instrument repair. Anything from a fret buzz to a face split. His prices are reasonable; his work is quick and accurate. I've taken three instruments to him so far and been very happy with the results of al three. While waiting in the lobby for Adam to put some finishing touches on one of my instruments, I was able to observe Neil Smith working on an electric 6-string bass. He was testing the neck from top to bottom playing soft and loud. Then he turned his attention to the pick-ups. There was no question in my mind that he knew exactly what he was doing. I have a Tylor T5z. So far it has no issues, but I know where I will take it for repairs, should that ever become necessary.

I have a son who isn't afraid to jump in and try to fix anything that tried to fix my Gibson. Big mistake on my part to let him. Ian also fixed the truss-rod that my son messed up, free of charge. I had the pleasure of speaking with them and found them to be very honest, helpful, knowledgeable and they take a lot of pride in there work. Thanks again for the buetiful work on my guitar.

It had sharp frets, definitely didn't have any 'ring' or sustain to it. It wasn't great to play. So I figured, being stuck with it, let's see what Topaz Guitars can do with it and their new Plek machine. I dropped it off on Saturday, a few days later Teresa sent me photos of it in the plek machine. Later that day, I was informed it was completed and booked a pickup for Saturday. LESS THAN A WEEK! For a full plek service and setup? WOW! Upon picking it up and playing it when I got home, I was in serious SHOCK. It played, sustained and RINGED better than my Gibsons. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to see what they can do with more of my guitars. I've used a few guitar techs in town and none of them have done a setup/service this impressive. Give them a try you won't be disappointed!

I contacted Don via text on October 15 just to check the status of the work. His reply was simply, "Starting on it next week." I initiated contact once again on November 4 and was told "I'm starting on it tomorrow." As a result, I picked up my guitar that day and decided to go elsewhere. So, why three stars... I have no doubt that Don is a very capable luthier. The problems are simply centered around the lack of communication on his part regarding progress, or lack thereof. I was told two months. At the two month mark, I was told next week. Nearly three weeks after that I was told tomorrow. As a new customer, how am I supposed to feel? When I picked up the guitar he stated, "I told you it would be several months." The truth is he said two months. Communication is everything. This is especially true when one is dealing with a new client. I have entrusted this person with an instrument that has been a part of my life for nearly three decades. An other reviewer mentioned the condition of his shop. Trust me, I had reservations when I saw the condition. I wondered how he could complete any work in that space, but after talking with him I felt confident that he could do good work. A simple text stating, hey, this is taking a bit longer than expected...,or hey, just wanted to update you on status of the instrument is all that was needed to put my mind at ease.

From start to finish I noticed that the workbench he uses isn't clean (wood debris/nails/), the way he handled my guitar wasn't careful and in the end I leave the place with damage on my guitar. Now granted this is a satin finish guitar and is susceptible to dings etc but a professional should ALWAYS be careful and respectful to an instrument. He was at best rushing the work. I'm leaving this review to either prevent this from happening to other guitars or to make sure you tell don to be careful and handle your guitar with respect. I reached out to him about my concerns and he says he can't see the dings. At that point all I could tell him was to respect himself and the good integrity and good will he's built up with his customers because these things go a long way. I hope I saved someone from experiencing what I've experienced. My advice? Look elsewhere.

I played throughout middle school and stopped because of life. I picked flute back up in 2020, at which time I bought a cheap flute from Amazon. However, it was not great quality, so I checked K&S's website and found a great starter Yamaha flute. I called the store about it and they had it transferred here from the Charleston location. The flute was in amazing condition and the quality is so much better than I could have imagined. They also still sold all the student books that I used in middle school and it was so nostalgic and helpful to use those in my journey to playing again. The staff were so helpful and nice. Will always support and recommend them!

We came back 6 months later because my daughter's private instructor said she was ready for a full size; my daughter also cemented her dedication and commitment to continue playing through high school, so we opted to use what rental credit remained to buy a full size violin. The team was excellent in showing us the options, let her test and play them all, and then even helped set up the fine tuners (until she's ready to take them off) without charge. Excellent service, and I'm glad we trusted this team to take care of my daughter and her violin needs!
