We have visited this location several times now and love the quality of the food here. I have never seen it busy and have never had to wait to get a table (although it seems like carryouy is the main option people choose which probably explains this). The restaurant is on the smaller end which makes the experience a bit more intimate. Service has always been outstanding and the portions are excellent. Our last visit we tried the siam beef and wonton soup. The moist beef is delicious and the soup is almost like another meal. The presentation of the food is also top notch (see my photos). Second time eating here! It would be more if we lived closer. It's a great place to stop if you're driving on 193 in Great Falls, VA. The server remembered us from 1st visit last year. She even remembered we had the mango sticky rice and where we sat. Crazy impressive memory and great service. Anyway, the food is really good here. The portions are not small. If you are looking for a Thai restaurant to go to this is the place! I have been to many Thai places and I must say this is the best Thai I have ever tasted! we had the Grilled Salad Scrimp with peanut sauce and Pad Thai combo with scrimp and chicken. Such a cute spot! Super cozy and small inside. Service was fast at first but then they left us alone for a long time. The food here is great just like at the other location. I loved the fresh rolls and veggie dumplings. Their pad Thai was saucy and full of flavor and they put a ton of the protein you order in this dish! Also a massive serving size. I also tried the panang curry with beef which was also a big serving size and really yummy but just too spicy for me. I'm not sure if you can order this dish to be less spicy. Absolutely loved Finn Thai! The place is very clean and so cozy. The service was impeccable. Everyone was so nice and attentive. We ordered spring rolls, green curry & panang curry. $28 for massaman curry, seriously?? This is not a delicatessen in Thailand. And, even the best massama curry in Thailand is not $28.00. There are plenty of other Thai restaurants in Northern Virginia that make an equally good massaman curry. I highly recommend visiting them. read more

Small but adorable space with amazing decor, incredible food, and wonderful service. I had my first-ever larb (appetizer) and it was wonderful. My friend said they had larb in the past but it was not nearly as delicious as what we were served. I tend to be able to handle spicy food, but I always am concerned when trying a new place, so I asked to drop the spicy down a notch on my green Thai curry, which is my baseline dish for trying all Thai places. It was flavorful and rich, but next time I'm going all in on the spicy. My friend had the drunken noodles and said it may be the best they ever had. Finn Thai was great! I met a friend here for dinner around 7pm on Wednesday and it was empty, although about 3 more tables sat down after I was seated. It's not a huge place so keep that in mind. I had the pad eggplant with shrimp and it was delicious! The serving size was quite large so I was able to take leftover home for lunch the next day. There was a generous amount of shrimp and the sauce was absolutely delicious. Service was also quick and our waitress was very polite. I would definitely come back! read more

The beef was pretty juicy and the noodles had a great flavor - and not too salty. I tried some of their pad thai and it was tasty, too! Today I just realized that I'd never updated my 2020 Yelp review of this excellent restaurant. I'd given it four stars back then only because they had just opened at this location a month earlier, and we'd only eaten here once. Had intended to do an update after more visits to make sure our first good experience was not a one-off. But I forgot to update until now. so my bad! I have been to their restaurant at North Point in Reston and it quickly become my new favorite Thai restaurant! We ordered delivery, so the food is never as good as it is in person, but here's my review! Food (4/5): In person this ins the best, but for take out, it definitely wasn't as good as it was in person, but was still great. It was packaged nicely and the servings were spot on. The delivery was so fast from the restaurant the food was still warm upon arrival. I forgot to take pictures of this I was so excited! Next time! Beef pad see ew: My favorite Thai meal is beef pad see ew and it's not on the menu (Finn Thai, please add it to your menu). However, if you put it in the comments (I ordered via GrubHub) when you order Drunken Noodles, they will make it for you. The noodles were a bit dry, though the flavor was spot on. The portions were large and it made two meals for me. Even the next day when I microwaved them with some hoisin sauce, the flavor was spot on! Firecracker chicken: This entree is amazing if you like deep fried chicken with a delicious spicy, savory peppery sauce! It is really decadent and delicious. We even heated it up in the toaster oven (separated the sauce from the chicken) for tasty leftovers and it was still delicious! Spring rolls: These were good, though the ratio of the cellophane noodles was just a bit high. The crispy outside wrapper was delicious and they seemed to survive the delivery. Delicious, spicy Thai food!! Chili basil chicken is a must if you like it hot. Pad Thai and drunken noodles are what you'd expect. Green and panang curry are very comforting and filling. The only thing I don't like (so far) is the spring rolls, which are oily and tasteless. Quick and easy dinner! Also, the service was attentive and orders came quickly. The location was a bit obscure...not where you'd expect a Thai restaurant to be located, and the name (Finn) is unusual. This was my first time trying a Thai restaurant, so I can't comment on the food with any knowledgeable detail. The interior is quiet, peaceful, and well decorated. The establishment is very clean, including the bathroom. The server was polite and friendly. I started my meal with the chicken satay. I enjoyed the peanut sauce that comes with that dish. I had the lunch special green curry with shrimp as my main entree. It was an experience for sure. There's a lot going on with the flavor. It was spicy, but not overly so--and this is unique to everyone's individual taste anyhow. I was surprised by how many shrimp were in ny little lunch size dish--it was at least 7. The salad was a nice size and the dressing was tasty. The lettuce was crisp and green without wilted pieces. Hands down, my very favorite aspect of this meal , was the dessert. If you tend to get too full before you make it to dessert, I highly suggest taking half your entree to go so that you will be able to enjoy the dessert instead. I had the coconut icecream and it was absolutely heavenly. If you like almond joy or mounds candies, you'll adore this icecream. I wish I had a cooler in ny car because I would stock up on it and take it home. If I lived near this place, I would come here at least once a week just for icecream. It would be a lovely mellow place to come read a book or do some homework/work from home type stuff while enjoying a little treat or a meal. read more

Delicious! Due to COVID, we ordered carryout from this place and loved it. We used to order from the Chinese place before, Wild Ginger and enjoyed it. We were craving Asian food, so decided to give this place a try. We ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and Crab Fried Rice. They were both amazing dishes, and each entree was enough for us to have leftovers. We also ordered the Tom Kha Soup, which was a little bland. Over a decade it has been many a different restaurants (all asian cuisine) but Finn Thai is the only one we ordered again at. Pad Thai is decent, Pad See We is spicy but delicious, and the fried rice is good. Spring rolls didn't have much in it but it was nice and crispy. Green curry was good but the portion was quite small. Firecracker chicken was meh. Overall decent local Asian cuisine. I would recommend it if you are close by. read more
