Been here for lunch prior when it was called "Burapa" now it's Vienna Thai and Bar. Place isn't that huge but alas enough seatings and bar area and was decorated with festive Fall Season theme. A little bit delayed in service at first but afterward moved fast. We came about 15-20 mins before happy hour and was able to order from there. HH M-F from 3-6pm! Honestly HH menu is full blown portion or at least to me. You'll see in my pics. We got the shrimp in blanket, Vienna Thai chicken fried rice ($11) , cocktail and from drunken noodles. They also have extensive lunch menu for about $12.95+ similar as before. Definitely be back again when I'm in the area!

Great service, easy parking, yummy cocktails and good food. HH ends at 7pm and the papaya salad is a steal! I would definitely come back! Papaya Salad: 10/10. This was the best papaya salad I've ever had! It was fresh and enough to split. Panag Curry: 9/10. Spicy and full of flavor! Drunken Noodle: 7/10. I wish it had pineapple in it and I should have asked for a spice rack.

Drunken noodles

I was very underwhelmed with our drunken noodles and pad see ew dishes at Vienna Thai. I ordered it mild spicy but there was no spice or flavor/sauce at all. I think they just didn't put any sauce at all, and the drunken noodles barely had any vegetables for how this dish is typically served. It's rare for me to not like these dishes as they're our family's go-to, but these were definitely much less flavorful than in other places we've gotten the same dishes from for a similar or cheaper price. On the plus side, the food was a large quantity and enough for 2 big meals each.

The chicken satay is to die for, I really like the peanut butter sauce and the cucumber one. Best mango sticky rice I've had too! The ambiance and decor was really cute. I sat at the bar, the service was good.

2 Vegetarian Curry Puff

Food came out pretty fast. The chicken satay and crab ragoons were just ok. The cashew chicken special could have been more flavorful and crispy. But the curry puffs were real good and I would get those again. Overall it was a good meal.

HHR is nice & quiet - no need to sit at bar for specials. Food is excellent, so happy a couple Thai favs (papaya salad & curry puffs) were on HHR menu. Hubs got the Thai steak - comes out sizzling like fajitas - he devoured. Lychee martini was delish. Cute decor & friendly service for the perfect date night.

My boyfriend and I came here with his parents that live close by and visit frequently and we were both extremely satisfied!! Food was AMAZING and I loved how there were gluten free options as well! The service was also superb (we had Vienna)! Loved the Christmas decorations and music and we even got a little Christmas drink

As a huge Thai Food fan and I am glad to say that Burapa Thai is place that people need to visit. Vegan Friendly: Yup this place has you covered with plenty of tasty vegan options Decor: It has a nice vibe, right amount of mood lighting and a nice place to spend an hour or 2 Food Breakdown: So I had their Pad Thai and this was amazing! It really tasted unique and just writing this review I wish I had more lol Portion Size: Portions here little big but not big enough to share with a second person unless that person has a small Price: Sadly this place it for sure on the pricy side ($15.30 as of 2024) for Pad Thai but the food is really good so I would recommend this place every so often. Oh and I will say that the service wasn't bad but not great overall just barely par Would I go Back: For sure! and I can't wait to go back for more in a few months!

Christmas Pop-up bar is so much fun! Amazing cocktails and they open 7 days a week now

Ordered several dishes to go everything was fresh, flavorful, and still warm in the containers. Delicious and highly recommend.

The food quality is high, the service has dropped a bit since last year, but still above average. You won't leave hungry, with huge portions for a 4 course evening, plus amuse bouche. We had giant tiger prawn, Hawaiian Ono, and Venison & Pork belly for proteins. The Ono was slightly overcooked, but not enough to ruins the dish. The chosen wines paired perfectly with each dish, and the bartenders choices for the whiskey pairings were fantastic. A good selection of Irish, Japanese, and American whiskies . If you're looking to do a private party/room with them, go for it.

I enjoyed a glass of the house white wine, Pino Grio. The complementary rolls with olive oil are delicious! The side of pipping hot fries hits the spot! The smaller portion of Bolognese house-made creamy pasta dish was flavorful and very filling! I swapped out the meaty beef and lamb with mushrooms and veggies. While the squash and onions detracted a bit from the flavors, the mushrooms were spot on! I enjoyed Cocktail #6 with Tequila, Elderflower liquor, fresh cucumber juice, and strawberry syrup. The cocktail was very balanced and refreshing - totally worth $21. I just wish there were more vegetarian options on the menu and lighter fare (smaller steak portions). Will come back again for drinks!

The staff explained they prepare omakase for a set number of guests, so they couldn't accommodate us last-minute. That said, the manager and his staff, our wonderful server completely turned the experience around with their kindness. They comped part of our meal, brought out desserts for my husband's birthday, and even treated me to a mocktail. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the night feel really special. The service was warm and attentive, and we still had an amazing time. I've already booked omakase for next week and can't wait to come back! The place has great vibes. Highly recommend!! And the HANDROLLS WERE THE BEST WE'VE EVER HAD!!! forgot to mention how amazing the food was. Yummy!

I usually am enamored with speakeasies, but it was really hard to love this one…read more 1. Reservations - I've been with OpenTable and other restaurant online booking systems for decades but this is a first for me. They have two separate OpenTable listings (as noted in other reviews). I was clear in that i just wanted an after work chill happy hour. I booked for 4:30. After promptly showing up at the wren for my 4:30 appointment I was told, Naisho room doesn't open until 5 pm.... So why did you let me book for 4:30?!?! No explanation. No apology just "you're early..." 2. I promptly dropped $70 for drinks and an appetizer at the Wren bar to hold me and my guests over. It wasn't bad but that's not what I was hoping for... at 4:30. 3. The service to the speakeasy was great. The "gym stag" had our 4:30 and let us in at... 5:03 pm... 4. The waitress inside the speakeasy was super awkward and off putting. She really needs a class on etiquette. I ordered quite a bit right off the bat but my guests slow roll throughout the experience and she didn't seem too happy with that. Taking away our menus doesn't encourage us to order either. You charge $22 for one tea sandwhich but can't afford to print out more menus? The menus were also pretty dingy and I hand sanitized after using them. 5. Food. Was mid at best. Not at all authentic Japanese. I had the oyster shooter, temaki, Wagyu toast, Wagyu quesadilla, and mocktail. The oyster shooter was too sweet. And you could only taste the oyster and caviar at the end. Mostly as an aftertaste. There was a "too sweet" aspect to most of the food. The temaki was okay and I liked the crunchy bits but they went too far with the plastic wrap on the seaweed. The plastic wrap gave me Japanese 7-11 onigiri vibes. You do that if you aren't efficient enough to get the food out to guests at once and the seaweed will get soggy. I'm not sure if it was for a "fun factor" for people who are unfamiliar with grocery store onigiri in Asia but in a restaurant it should be done for you. The Wagyu toast was a HUGE disappointment. It was Sooooo sweet. I filet barely taste anything except the gross, sweet jam. And the toast was soggy and the texture of the bread felt prepared the day before and like refrigerator. It was not toasted at all. The star was the Wagyu quesadilla with beef tendon chips. It was the cheapest item on the menu and the most filling and delicious. 6. Drinks were very good. Expect about $20 a pop... $50 for the Japanese whiskey is highway robbery. Nothing really "rare." I have most bottles on the kitchen counter from the Virginia ABc or DC Costco. You can buy an entire bottle of the Japanese whiskey at Costco for the cost of one serving here. Overall, the Naisho room felt like all hype. For over $100 I was still pretty hungry. If the food tasted good I would have ordered more but I didn't think it was worth it. You get a nice view but it's the same from most of the capital one building. Same view from the brewery. Don't waste your money. Go elsewhere. Plenty of better happy hour spots for much much less considering if you stay for more than two hours you have to pay for parking (we did becuase, well, our reservation was at 4:30...)

The pianist swept you off your feet as she played back to back hits. What a romantic addition to the stunning decor and ambiance that this restaurant and hotel created. We sat in the bar area, no reservations needed. Drinks: I had to try their espresso martini after reviews that it was the best around...well, let's just say that the reviews aren't wrong! The espresso was brewed strong and the liquor pairing was perfect. 10/10 easily! My boyfriend's drink of choice was the Port of Angel's envy and he raved about how excellent the Angel's Envy bourbon was, said it was worth taking a bottle home. 10/10 Bar bites: I ordered what I called "girl dinner" lol the caviar & shrimp toast, which I can best describe as AMAZING! A perfect 10/10 My boyfriend ordered the crab cake sliders which came with a side of fries and honey, those crab cakes were DELISH! Perfect 10/10 The fries had a hint of truffle oil on it, making them even more addictive. Overall, I'm in love with the ambiance, food, and drinks and whether you choose this place for amazing drinks with friends, bar bites while watching their large screen TVs, or a romantic dinner in the main dining area-you will not regret it.

Dinner menu seems to be the same as the dinner menu from last year. Breakfast we ordered the chicken and waffles and also the lobster eggs Benedict. The chicken and waffle was cooked fresh. Wow, what a quaint British pub in the middle of Vienna. Parking is a little tight for this area,…read morebut you can definitely find some spots in the back on a weekday. I ended up biking and there's a bike stand really close by. My friend was craving fish and chips, so we ventured out this way. Because we came on a Thursday they had a deal going where if you ordered a pie, you could get a beer for free. Of course I had to partake, so I ordered the special pie, which was a masala, chicken, curry pie, and it was quite good. A bit small for the price point but with the beer included totally worth it also because their fries are so good. I could demolish over a pound of those fries. They were thick potato and maybe the extra added bonus of having to use a glass ketchup bottle added to it. My friend and I were also taught how to properly hit the ketchup bottle to get the ketchup out by the bartender. You find the 57 on the bottle at an angle and bump you palm there that instead of hitting the bottom and hoping and praying that ketchup comes out. It actually worked or at least it was more efficient than trying to hit the bottom of the bottle upside down. I had never had a hand pumped beer before, but it was quite good. They are a warm beer rotating and it was quite good, it especially paired well with the pie or fish and chips.

We came a bit late into the game but found a seat in a quieter area of the restaurant that still had good television access. With the dreary rain outside, it felt like we had settled right in a proper British pub! Food wise: - For my husband: Wings were generous, grilled, and delicious with interesting flavors - For me: Fish and chips were light, flakey, and came with some of the best house cut fries I've ever had. - For the kiddos: Although they had a kids menu, my daughters decided to split some pancakes (basically crepes with raspberries and cream sauce, scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Portions are more than generous and the managers were bustling around, talking shop, and thanking everyone who walked through their door. We will definitely be back!

It was much appreciated. As for the food it was hit and miss. Our husbands had the short rib raviolis and-although it was flavorful, there was not enough meat inside the raviolis nor were there enough raviolis to justify the price tag. Since the sauce was extremely flavorful I forced my husband to share some of the skimpy sauce to dip my pizza crust on it. Luckily the guys had enough of the wonderful fried mozzarella and bread to not be grumpy. One tip that our whole party agreed on was that the sauce was better suited if it was paired with chunks of lobsters instead of of the stuffed short rib raviolis. I was happy with size of my thin crust pizza and it was way more than I could eat. However, I am not sure if I was actually ok with how the ingredients were divided jn the quarter a fourth of the pizza contained olives ,another fourth was the mushrooms, ,another fourth was the prosciutto and for the life of me I could not remember the fourth ingredient. I'm still ponedering whether I am a fan of this. My friend had the Marguerite pizza and she was extremely satisfied with it. As to the place itself, it's nothing fancy, it's just your typical pizza place in a strip mall. It's just ok. One thing I noticed about it is the dim lighting, but to be fair it's a normal complaint for most eating establishments. We all had to break out our IPhone flashlights to read the menu. I wish most eateries would have a dimmer switch by your table so that when you are ordering, there is sufficient lighting as you read the menu and when done can be adjusted to mood lighting. I noticed most of the upper forties and up patrons did the same thing as us when ordering.

With about 30 seconds of chewing per bite, my entire meal was gone in about two and a half minutes. The waiter seemed to be doing his best, but he was clearly stretched too thin with too many tables. The service felt disorganized--we were first asked for drinks (which is standard), then only appetizers. After finishing those, we had to flag him down just to place our dinner order. The most disappointing part was the ravioli di carne. The portion was not only inadequate but honestly felt insulting--both to me as a customer and to the restaurant itself.
