I especially appreciated his suggestion to order a half side since I was dining alone. It was a thoughtful recommendation and exactly the right amount. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. The salad was drenched in ranch, as if the entire bottle had been poured over it. The Wagyu dumplings were hard, and the filling was overly salty and simply not enjoyable. The Chilean sea bass finally arrived and was flavorful, but it was surprisingly tough rather than tender, which is not what I expect from an Eddie V seafood dish. What stood out, however, was how the staff handled the situation. Rachel, the manager, came over, listened to my concerns, and was genuinely apologetic. She made every effort to make things right, and I appreciated that. Everyone I interacted with was professional, attentive, and concerned about the experience. Just left Eddie V's who gracefully stayed open late to take care of me and my family. Firstly, the service from Luigi was so exceptionally great, everything you could ever want in a server he was and did, very funny, very charming, and very courteous. Also he suggested the parmesan sole for me to try and it was the star of the table! The parmesan sole was cooked to perfection and flavorful. Would highly recommend that dish to anyone who enjoys a good fish. Overall, you can't go wrong with Eddie V's but if you're in the area this location is a great one to try. We went for date night. Our party of 6 had a reservation for 9:30PM on Friday Night. I went to restroom when I got there and found the bathroom to be completely a mess. There was no tissue in one of the stalls. No paper towels to dry your hands. There was paper all over the sink. I told the hostess and she said someone had just told her and she was sending someone to clean it. Our server was extremely slow to take our order. The food took a long time to come. We ended up being the last ones in the restaurant. I had to ask multiple times for more sparkling water. She didn't come to check on us while waiting for the appetizers or the food. We only saw the runners who brought the food. We've been several times and the Chilean Sea Bass is my favorite dish. The plate came out hot, but my fish was cold not even room temperature. I sent it back and didnt order anything to replace it. My husband's lamb chops were cooked the right way and he enjoyed them. The crab fried rice is always consistently good. The crispy rice tuna appetizer was very good. The potstickers and lobster bisque were average. Over the years the service and food quality have declined. There was live music, nice and mellow, perfect for the atmosphere. I believe our server was Skyler, I apologize if I got that wrong, but he was spot on, great service, helpful and friendly. First off we had the yellowtail sashimi and I really can't find the right words for it, so I will just say it was Amazing! I've had sashimi hundreds of times, but this had just the perfect balance of ponzu and chili peppers. I don't care for really spicy food, and this was perfectly done, just a touch of heat to wake you up, but not anything that will hurt. We are still talking about it a month later. For dinner, we had the sea bass and a filet. The sea bass was wonderful, perfectly cooked. Nice and light. The filet was expertly cooked. I can't believe it took me this long to get to Eddie V's, it will definitely not be the last time. We ate ourselves into a food coma, we had the crab cakes & shrimp cocktails for appetizers. We shared the Caesar salad & for our main entrée we, had the stuffed crab, shrimp, lamb chops crab, fried rice & truffle, macaroni and cheese.. The truffle macaroni and cheese I could've did without it was tasty, but it was so heavy . The Caesar salad is very different. It's not creamy. It's a very different texture, but it's really good. The stuffed crab shrimp are to die for, but the star is the lamb chops. They are so good and mouthwatering. It's just so yummy. The crab fried rice is not like your traditional fried rice is kind of buttery, but it's good. Our server Luigi Bafundi space made our meal more enjoyable with his service and this cappuccino ice cream at the end of our meal. It was so lovely. The only shortcomings were the chocolate, bitters in the old-fashioned we had. We changed out the bourbon, but we really didn't care for the bitters . I did not like the chocolate flavor, it made it so sweet. Our second round were regular old-fashioned, they were just ok we switched to the normal ones those were just OK. Now I know why my mother enjoys coming to Eddie V's for her birthday! They made her feel like a superstar! We made a same-day reservation on OpenTable and, upon seating, Kyle the GM greeted us with a champagne toast for my mom's bday - a very nice gesture! The table was also decorated with glitter and a hand written birthday card for her. There was live music playing in the bar area but it wasn't too loud in the dining room. The decor here is classy, a nice place. Our waiter very helpful and attentive and brought out some bread for the table. It seemed fresh baked with a crisp crust and soft in the middle. Our steaks were of quality and perfectly cooked to order with no fat or tendons. They finished our meal by bringing out a plate for my mom with a trio of strawberry sorbet, chocolate cookie and banana foster. It was well presented and definitely will consider a full-sized banana foster. It was fantastic! Finally a great experience at a Darden restaurant. Everything needs a closer look at this location! And I mean management and owner, servers and hostess. List: Dress code: ripped jeans all up and down legs, breasts exposed due to cut out tank top with large arm hole and breast on full display, men in baggy, sagging shorts with name tags hanging in back and beach wear. Hostess: Never experienced such lack of customer service and discrimination. We were the only ones that were ignored and when we checked in, no friendly chat. Others had questions like where you want to sit and is this an occasion and feedback on table while waiting. We just stood there. Then we were given the worse table in the place. We were polite, dressed appropriate and didn't complain. Nice waiter. Table: Why cram a square table in a hole next to a tablecloth station and think we want to pay hundreds for a meal while employees are constantly bumping into you. It was hard to talk to each other, it was uncomfortable with dirty looks from servers and it was insulting. Other parties of two were seated at tables for We were crammed into a hole. Food was excellent (that's why two stars) but overshadowed by the hostess. At one point there was 3 of them and not one treated us with respect. Our server was Spencer as well as Diego and they were absolutely polished offering the highest service level that is unmatched. Both were very genuine and caring in their celebration of our special anniversary. I had what I normally get, the Parmesan encrusted Sole and it was a generous a portion and extremely tasty and cooked to perfection. Enough for two meals. I also had the fried rice with crab topping, the potatoes au gratin, and the macaroni with truffles. All of the sides were tasty and prized take home possessions for a second meal. My wife had the 10 ounce filet mignon and it was excellent and cooked perfectly. It was not quite as good as her last visit; but, still an 8 out of 10. She also had the asparagus as a side and the Gulf Shrimp as an opener. Eddie V.'s is an awesome, classy, and fast-paced environment, even at the early hours. He ent above and beyond to make our night special~! We skipped appetizers as I was ready to eat and didn't want to ruin my meal with anything else. We ordered the lamb chops (cooked medium) and the diet of beef Oscar (cooked medium) and both dishes were seasoned well and served piping hot. A group of 5 of us went in a weeknight dinner because we had a guest from out of town. I had never dined here and usually stay away from chain restaurants but decided to give it a try. The restaurant is spacious and beautiful and there was live music. We were tucked away in a room at the rear of the restaurant which I didn't love but it was fine. I ordered an old fashioned, without the smoke, and it was one of the best I've had. The chocolate bitters really added a wonderful note and complemented the orange and cherry. Very enjoyable. The lemon drop was also delightful. My husband and I decided on the sole and the ribeye for our mains. We also ordered the lobster mashed potatoes, crab and mushrooms fried rice, asparagus, and scalloped potatoes for the table. The rest of our table ordered the au gratin potatoes, another ribeye, Chilean sea bass, and the lobster bisque. There was nothing that I put in my mouth that wasn't delicious. The lobster mashed potatoes had large chunks of lobster swimming in butter. So decadent. The steaks were perfectly cooked. The sole and the sea bass were luxurious and amazing. The crab fried rice was generously topped with crab and I am not sure what kind of mushrooms they used but it was over the top yummy. I only wish we had room for dessert because I could only imagine how good they would be. Our server was amazing. I believe her name was Makeba. She provided excellent suggestions and made our dining experience much more lovely with her demeanor. We came to find out she is from the same country as our family! After you check in there's a bar you can wait at because no available seating at the front door. Short five minute wait at 5:00pm until we were escorted to our table. Plenty of room for two. Started with Lobster Bisque bowl of soup which our waiter had poured into two cups. A perfect size for a starter. Wifey chose the 10oz fillet and split lobster tail from South Africa. Very delicious indeed. I had the 22oz bone in ribeye. Best one I've had in a while. Sides of crab fried rice and au gratin potatoes. I loved the potatoes while my wife enjoyed the rice dish. Crème Brûlée we shared and it was made for two. Yummy yummy. They even bought over a celebration dessert for us celebrating the wife's birthday. Really nice atmosphere and the best service around. The management team also makes us feel like family. The name of the restaurant says it is a seafood restaurant, which it is, and they do seafood wonderfully. But do not forget to try the steak. They have filet, bone in strip, and bone in ribeye that are better than other high end steakhouses in the country. We do not have a single hesitation in recommending this place. If you go to the Orlando location, have a drink at the bar and you won't regret it.
