Hubbys new love Great food but with company sit outside or in the back Gets loud and crowded by bar inside Heaters outside for you Server knowledgeable and helped with the gluten free options which are not printed in menu Prices are not crazy high Parking a challenge as anything downtown Booths are not as soft as they look and my heels/feet could not touch the bottom so my back was not happy So if you have short legs sit at the table with chairs

Came here for happy hour bar dinner appetizer specials. As soon as I sat down the bartender was amazing and attentive. He was friendly smiling and my food was with me within 10 minutes. Atmosphere was great it was nice and warm in the cold weather and I will definitely be coming back here. For three appetizer plates it was $34. What a great deal right! I would come back here for sure!

I absolutely adore their jalapeno cheesey potato tots, however their to go and delivery disputes are disappointing when it comes to customer service. We used to order specifically for the tots, get the order sans tots, only to be told over phone that the delivery truck hadn't delivered them or were out of stock. I didn't care that they are a frozen appetizer, what I care about is telling me you're out when I place my order and not after. The ambiance is good though and if you want to sit and have a beer this a pretty good choice.

We went to Finnegans this afternoon around 1pm and were seated right away, no wait at all (although there were only 2 of us). We ordered the Irish nachos which were great (see pic). They have large portions, so every thing we ordered was easily shared. We had a nice time.

A True Pub Vibe -- Feels Like Home Finnegan's in Novato has that classic pub feel that lowkey brings me back to New York -- I don't even know why exactly, but something about the vibe, the layout, the energy just hits like home. It's cozy, welcoming, and always has a solid crowd. Whether you're just stopping by for a drink or sitting down for a full meal, you're gonna feel good here. It's definitely one of my go-to local spots. Now let me tell you about Andy behind the bar -- this man is a LEGEND. One of the best bartenders I've ever come across. Friendly, fast, always locked in with great service, and just an all-around solid dude. He always brings great energy and makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. All the bartenders do. Drinks are always cold and well made, food hits the spot, and you get that real pub-style experience you don't always find out here in the Bay. If you're in Novato and want somewhere with good vibes, great people, and that real-deal pub atmosphere -- Finnegan's is it.

    The "Goff" Burger

The ambience is very fun, and the staff is very friendly. I have not been wowed by the food yet. Plenty of games to watch and beers to drink. The big draw is that Kids eat free on Sundays. I had the Goff burger, which sounded great from the menu description. I asked for my burger to be medium, and it was super tough and dry. The kids' got burgers, and theirs looked like the patties were on their second of third life. They were gray and tough and dry and hard to chew. We enjoyed our fries, though. My husband thought his shepherds pie was meh. I've also had the salmon risotto, and it came out very oily. The salmon also smelled a little fishy. Parking can be tricky downtown, but you can generally find walkable street parking. Lots of fun shops nearby. Finnegan's also has live music sometimes. Come for the vibe, but maybe eat somewhere else.

The restaurant is lined with booths, which makes for a fun and intimate atmosphere. It can get busy on the weekends for lunch, it might help you make a reservation. The service is very friendly and helpful. The big blue burger was a 5/5, really great! The chicken sandwich was good and the bread pudding was delicious. Would recommend if you're looking for cozy comfort pub food.

Love this place. Friendly staff, good food and great drinks. Been coming here for years and the vibe is still the same. Great for a young crowd, parents and beyond

Cozy pub atmosphere with a nice selection of traditional pub food and more. I tried the pot roast and it was pretty good. The beef stroganoff wasn't the traditional recipe but still good. Friendly relaxing service definitely go here for a pint or a meal. Try the Rueben rolls they are sour kraut with corned beef in an egg roll!

A very busy little pub in downtown Novato. It was full, but the servers were very attentive. I had a Guinness with fish and chips. It did not disappoint, the food was outstanding.

Was looking forward to coming here because it was really busy on the patio. However, food was not great.. the steak was tough and chewy. The fish and chips had way too thick of batter and the fish inside was tough.

I asked for my side to be a soup. Got to the restaurant and she helped me out she coughed a bit then charged me and the price seemed a little high. It went from $11.95 + $3 for the bacon so let's say $15 plus tax what a few dollars but to reach $22 almost $23 for a sandwich is crazy. On top of that the bacon seems like one slice cut into multiple. The chicken breaks is small. And the Worst part is when she was putting the soup in the container she used a scoop to get the noodles but then she used her fingers slide the noodles into the container no gloves and she was working the register not to mention she coughed onto her hand when she was charging me. Needless to say I tossed the soup when I left the restaurant. Won't be coming back. Food does not seem worth the price I paid.

This was a nice way to spend a few hours. The space is neat. It's as small, somewhat dark ambiance with the windows blacked out. So, you do loose your sense of time a bit inside. That's actually nice as it feels like you went somewhere/somewhen else for a while. We had a Manhattan and a Kentucky Mule, and, additionally, we had three different shareable appetizers. First thought, we ordered and devoured a really exceptional cheese plate. I know cheese plates seem a little meh sometimes, but this was really good! I would absolutely order it again. In fact, I would definitely go there just to have the cheese plate again with a drink, a glass of wine. We also had the three tacos shareable. There were three tacos that were stunningly good. Lastly a dish with some little steak medallions and a shrimp. Each of these was about two bites and the flavor and texture was excellent. All three of the shareables and the drinks were exceptional. I have to call out that, with the cheese board, came a little loaf of bread. That bread was really good all on its own. I would definitely want to eat it. I can still taste it. It was really good, but my wife, she's gluten intolerant. They offered, because she couldn't eat the bread, they offered to also bring her out some gluten-free crackers, so she got to enjoy the cheese board just the same without the bread. They gave her the crackers, and do you know, they just gave her those extra. They didn't ask for something more. They didn't do anything. They just took care of her. I really appreciate that. I have to also give a shout out to the Jessica. I don't know how she did it, but she was taking care of the whole room of tables I think. Nice. We ordred all three shareables at the same time and she thoughtfully said, 'do you mind if I course these out for you?' We said yes and she did. I don't think anybody felt like they didn't have everything they needed, so a shout out to you, Jessica, really well done. We're grateful for the service and the high quality dining experience that you gave us on a moment's notice. I hope we can visit again soon. And, especially we want to check out The Boardroom soon. NOTE: This is in a kind of older looking strip mall. Don't be concerned about that at all! It threw us off a little at first and we did wonder when we pulled in though if we were in the right place. A friend who'd talked up The Speakeasy for years is besotted by the Marsala Sautéed Chicken Livers ($11) on the bar menu. Not ever a fan of liver, I avoided sampling his until we'd collectively polished off an order of Baked Goat Cheese ($10) and a trio of Pulled Pork Tacos ($13). He'd grown full and much liver remained which is when I learned that I do like chicken liver. Or rather, I like chicken liver as prepared at The Speakeasy. All of the above pretty much had me fan-girling out over this place but then this happened: We were done, requested our check, and were told that someone that evening had picked up the tab for the entire bar, something I've not experienced in my lifetime. I already liked The Speakeasy a whole lot before learning my food and drink were free of charge. Like changed to rabid fandom when this occurred. I know that I can't expect a full repeat of this experience but even if it's just chicken livers and Cabernet, that'll be enough.
