I finally got to try this place and I certainly enjoyed the experience! I thought the service was amazing and I really like the vibe of the whole restaurant. I tried the double smash burger and was pleased with how tasty it was! They really have something for everyone on their menu. That being said, I personally don't care for when the price of a burger and fries are separated at restaurants. I feel like it's a bit misleading. The portions were also quite small in my opinion. I wasn't a fan of sitting in the back next to ski ball. I asked to move as people continued to play. Not a huge deal but I just didn't want to hear that noise the whole dinner. Overall, I really like what they've done with this corner of Birch and will definitely be a frequent visitor of Finney's! read more

First time trying. It was decent food but I think you should add coffee drinks to the menu. Just like a lot of people like beer a lot of people like coffee. I also think since it's a sport bar.. depending if Brea allows it due to the curfew if you had for example parties just how downtown Fullerton has it. Or hear me out speed dating events. Of course you'd have to charge a door entrance fee for the parties but then people will come hungry. Or you can just keep the bar open. Think about it for the near future. The food here honestly deserves 5 stars -- the chicken and waffles were amazing, and even the Sprite was great. But unfortunately, things went downhill after that. I ordered a chicken sandwich that did not mention bacon at all in the description, but it came with bacon. I don't eat bacon, so I had to send it back and get it replaced. The real issue came when it was time to pay. We tried to split the bill, but there were so many complications. Items we already paid for still showed as unpaid, and it took a long time to get everything sorted. I even had to pay for a Coke Zero I never ordered, just because I was ready to leave at that point. This place is fairly new, so I understand they're probably still figuring things out, but the service and billing issues definitely took away from what started as a great experience. read more

First time in and it was okay. Here's what we got: App: deviled eggs- okay Dinner: bacon and bleu burger with tots and added a side wedge salad. Also okay. The best thing was the salad. Drink: their hef was great. The service was slow. We didn't get greeted after 10 minutes of waiting I went to the host stand where the manager was to alert them. She apologized and was met with our waiter. Server was okay but didn't follow simple requests like no ice in water or sauce on the side for burger. We would've gotten dessert but wasn't approached with the idea. Maybe because they were closing down so probably wanted to go home for the evening. The interior is nice and comfortable. But the food tastes so bad. We ordered the chicken and waffle Sliders. It had no flavor and was way too sweet and greasy. Then we had a jalapeño egg burger which was bland. And we got an order of the hot honey wings and mango habanero wings. Both were very very bland. Waitress has been super nice and attentive. I've been going to Finney's for years from Santa Barbara and I was so happy seeing that they've expanded so much since then. The bbq chicken salad was delicious. Hubby got a lettuce wrap wagyu burger and wedge salad that he loved. Highly recommend the nachos. Lastly, the drinks are amazing as always. I was excited to try Finney's. Upon entering the service staff were very friendly and attentive, which is always appreciated. I noticed a significant reduction in is the space ( I had not been in the space since the Farell's days) The layout feels bit odd, there are booths in the middle of the space and tables towards the back of the room. The beer selection is one of the great features about the place. I had their Hazy IPA, so refreshing for the hot weather. They lost me at the food.... I ordered a salad with salmon and the salmon was very dry. We also had a couple burgers and they were okay, fries lukewarm. It was not busy, so It would be hard to say that this was the cause of the food being subpar. Hope the food quality improves. read more

This is a review for the Brea location. The food was really good. The wagyu burger was really good and better than the bison burger but because I'm not really big on the sweets and the bison burger had bacon jam which was sweet for my taste. The tater tots were crunchy and the onion rings had lots of cheese which is good comfort cheese lovers. The place was really busy last night but I think they said that it was a once a year country event going on. The place is pretty big and I think they could utilize some of the empty spaces to add more tables. The service was great and my girlfriend and I managed to find a table at the bar which actually worked out better than the booths since we got to see the angels and dodgers game. First person at bat was Ohtani and he hit a home run which was cool. The bartender that we had was nice and had awesome service. Got us menus and drinks quick. Didn't get his name but tall blonde hair Caucasian guy just on top of everything. All in all this place was nice and I would go again. read more

Went to Finney's in SLO and was excited to see location Openning locally. We went to Brea location on July 5th and was able to get seated very quickly . Service was great and. Visited on Tuesday, June 3rd around 1 PM with my daughter. The restaurant wasn't busy, and we were seated right away, which was a good start. Drinks came out quickly, and we placed our order: the loaded bacon tater tots to start, a kids' cheese pizza with fresh berries for my daughter, and a double smash burger with truffle fries for myself. Unfortunately, that's where things went downhill. The tater tots arrived first, but they were lukewarm at best--clearly had been sitting out a while. No utensils or napkins were provided, and despite the name, I couldn't find a single piece of bacon in the few tots I ate. If there was any bacon, it must've been microscopic. The flavor was bland, and the texture suffered from not being served hot. Next came my daughter's pizza. It was decent and she liked it, but again, no napkins or utensils meant she ended up with pizza sauce all over her clothes. The "fresh berries" on the side looked anything but fresh--definitely not appealing. My burger came out nearly 10 minutes after my daughters food. I'll take the blame for ordering it with the pepper spread--not realizing it was bell peppers, which totally overpowered the rest of the flavors. The truffle fries were good. The Arnold Palmer was actually really good, and they have a decent beer selection, but overall the food was underwhelming and the service felt uninterested and inattentive. With a little more care in the kitchen and on the floor, this could've been a much better experience. Sadly, it missed the mark on multiple levels. I have a feeling this location will be empty soon once again. read more

My husband and I went on a Wednesday night for dinner, and it was still fairly busy. We had a 20-30 min wait, which was more like 20 min and were seated at a booth inside. We ordered the brussel sprouts, wagyu burger with truffle fries, and the Parmesan garlic wings. The Brussel sprouts were amazing. Complex flavors, great texture, and unique too! Unfortunately, not much else was worth writing home about. The burger was just a basic good burger, nothing special but not bad. The wings were well cooked and had good flavor, but lacked presentation appeal with the melted cheese sauce. Wingstop is just as good and cheaper. The fries were a disappointment. It's hard to ruin fries...these were chewy (not crispy) and didn't even taste like truffle. Definitely a lost star for the fries. If this review was based on food only I would give 5 stars. Food was great but service was awful. We had 4 items delivered to our table incorrectly, my beer was wrong, we were charged for items on another table. The restaurant manager did try to make it right by comping a few items on our order, unfortunately one of the comped items was something that we did not order. We love finneys in orange, and I know this is a new location and it was busy on Mother's Day... I hope the brea location gets all the kinks sorted out quickly. Been patiently waiting to try this place since the signage went up and we googled it!! This place gives me BJ's meets Farrells in the coolest way. Lots of TVs everywhere definitely a great place to catch a game, enjoy some beverages & good bites! Super affordable, our family of three enjoyed an appetizer, individual meals and beverages all under $100!! Service was fast & friendly, everyone there had a smile on their face. Pretty good amount of seating booth style & a nice center bar with seating all around. Perfect spot to catch a meal before or after a movie at the theater across the street or a show at the Improv. I normally wouldn't jump in, but enough is enough. Let's clear a few things up--Darin H. and Brittni G.? Same story, different name. Whether it's her or her husband using a burner Yelp account, the agenda's obvious. I was at Finney's that Sunday night. My group of nine saw everything. Brittni and her husband were completely out of line--loud, aggressive, and profane toward the young host team who, yes, are still learning the ropes at a new location. But there's a line, and they crossed it. Screaming obscenities in front of your kids doesn't make you a passionate customer--it makes you a cautionary tale. And calling a simple tap on the shoulder "assault" is just next-level nonsense. I'm glad Finney's took a stand and made it clear this kind of behavior won't be tolerated--not just in Brea, but at any of their locations. That's what leadership looks like. Major respect to the team for protecting their staff and other guests. Some people belong on a no-fly list... or in this case, a no-Finney's list. read more

The prices are decent, but the carnitas nachos that are raved about didn't hit the spot, the chips are overly lime seasoned and the carnitas are a small portion and are dry. A new and delicious place to eat! I e had the bbq bacon burger 2x now, once last week and once May 19, 2025. Its really easy to pay our bill, the handy dandy electronic payout thing sits at our table. All ordertakers (Josh and I can't remember the other one) are friendly and nice. The woman that greets us at the front door and takes us to our table is very nice. The ambience is good! Only a few tvs with recent sports on. Which is good, too many tvs is overload on the sensory. The seating area is spacious, only one thing is wrong, while sitting in the "train car" look alike , if seated next to another group or family, table conversations get louder because im trying to speak to my dad (thats hard of hearing) , he has trouble hearing what im saying and I just say "forget it, its not that important" . Other than that , its a real noce place! Oh! The prices are really good too, I recently ate at Taco Bell Brea-$29.09 Shake Shack Brea- 1st time $36, 2nd time (with two fries with everything on it, burger with 2 patties, drink and shake-$42 My burger with fries and a Raspberry Lemonade is $22.50 plus tax and tip. Love the food and good beer selection but the service needs to improve. No wait to get seated but we waited over 20 minutes until someone came to the table. We ordered our food but only one came out and by the time we got the rest, the first person was done eating. At the end our bill was wrong, no big deal but it was hard to find our waitress the whole time and get anything so this was another wait but when we said something she fixed it right away. I don't know if they were short staffed that day or what but it's definitely a deterrent. read more

Went to Finney's in Brea for the first time, and although we've been to other Finney's locations, this one stood out as the friendliest and cleanest we've visited. My husband ordered the Moroccan salad with shrimp, and I had the pastrami Reuben with sweet potato fries--both were recommended by our server and were excellent choices. I'm not usually an eggnog drinker, but Elin suggested the seasonal eggnog cocktail and said it was a must-try. I'm so glad I listened--it was delicious!
