Lots of TVs everywhere definitely a great place to catch a game, enjoy some beverages & good bites! Super affordable, our family of three enjoyed an appetizer, individual meals and beverages all under $100!! Service was fast & friendly, everyone there had a smile on their face. Pretty good amount of seating booth style & a nice center bar with seating all around. Perfect spot to catch a meal before or after a movie at the theater across the street or a show at the Improv. I normally wouldn't jump in, but enough is enough. Let's clear a few things up--Darin H. and Brittni G.? Same story, different name. Whether it's her or her husband using a burner Yelp account, the agenda's obvious. I was at Finney's that Sunday night. My group of nine saw everything. Brittni and her husband were completely out of line--loud, aggressive, and profane toward the young host team who, yes, are still learning the ropes at a new location. But there's a line, and they crossed it. Screaming obscenities in front of your kids doesn't make you a passionate customer--it makes you a cautionary tale. And calling a simple tap on the shoulder "assault" is just next-level nonsense. I'm glad Finney's took a stand and made it clear this kind of behavior won't be tolerated--not just in Brea, but at any of their locations. That's what leadership looks like. Major respect to the team for protecting their staff and other guests. Some people belong on a no-fly list... or in this case, a no-Finney's list. read more

Today, Thursday May 8, 2025 it was our first time trying this restaurant and we arrived about 4:30pm and we were NOT provided the Happy Hour Menu which it was still in effect. It would have been nice to save a buck or two. We did ordered the steak taquitos which was part of the HH menu along with drinks and other food. read more

Wow what a great burger spot ! atmosphere is so lively the service was great and the food was absolutely one of the best burgers I have had! My new favorite brea eatery! She refilled our drinks without us asking and would check on us multiple times. She always had a smile when coming up to us and asking if we were doing good. The food was awesome as always also. Servers never came to us, every time we wanted to order, we had to beg the hostess to send the server to us. We ordered food and they just never brought it. My take is that this place has friendly staff and service but the food falls a bit short. The prices are decent, but the carnitas nachos that are raved about didn't hit the spot, the chips are overly lime seasoned and the carnitas are a small portion and are dry. A new and delicious place to eat! I e had the bbq bacon burger 2x now, once last week and once May 19, 2025. Its really easy to pay our bill, the handy dandy electronic payout thing sits at our table. All ordertakers (Josh and I can't remember the other one) are friendly and nice. The woman that greets us at the front door and takes us to our table is very nice. The ambience is good! Only a few tvs with recent sports on. Which is good, too many tvs is overload on the sensory. The seating area is spacious, only one thing is wrong, while sitting in the "train car" look alike , if seated next to another group or family, table conversations get louder because im trying to speak to my dad (thats hard of hearing) , he has trouble hearing what im saying and I just say "forget it, its not that important" . Other than that , its a real noce place! Oh! The prices are really good too, I recently ate at Taco Bell Brea-$29.09 Shake Shack Brea- 1st time $36, 2nd time (with two fries with everything on it, burger with 2 patties, drink and shake-$42 My burger with fries and a Raspberry Lemonade is $22.50 plus tax and tip. Love the food and good beer selection but the service needs to improve. No wait to get seated but we waited over 20 minutes until someone came to the table. We ordered our food but only one came out and by the time we got the rest, the first person was done eating. At the end our bill was wrong, no big deal but it was hard to find our waitress the whole time and get anything so this was another wait but when we said something she fixed it right away. I don't know if they were short staffed that day or what but it's definitely a deterrent. read more

Went to Finney's in Brea for the first time, and although we've been to other Finney's locations, this one stood out as the friendliest and cleanest we've visited. My husband ordered the Moroccan salad with shrimp, and I had the pastrami Reuben with sweet potato fries--both were recommended by our server and were excellent choices. I'm not usually an eggnog drinker, but Elin suggested the seasonal eggnog cocktail and said it was a must-try. I'm so glad I listened--it was delicious! Thought sitting at the bar would be good but not when you have a messy bartender that splashes drinks around and was often seen touching face and lifting his pants up then grabbing garnishes for drinks with bare hands. Floors were slippery, place overall just didn't give a clean feel, especially bathrooms. Didn't eat there. I did like how drink was made then ice was added. Would not return. read more

Finneys in downtown Brea is really nice and great for any game day. We went when Dodgers were in playoffs and World Series, game 7 and well we did wait almost 90 min the second time for a table but we got lucky because no one was leaving! Food is good, can't go wrong with their version of chicken and waffles. Margaritas can be better but the beer choices are ample. The crew are super nice and make winning the World Series even better! So much great atmosphere, you don't encounter any bar drunks, just a good time. read more

I have eaten at Finney's several times and enjoyed the Ahi sandwich but this time I tried the pastrami Rueben and it was the absolute worst sandwich I've ever had. It was literally a scoop of chopped up meat with consistency of sawdust on rye bread. No sauce or cheese. Nothing resembling real sandwich meat. read more

The bartender-Tyler, chef's kiss! I rarely go out, but when I did, Tyler remembered me from 5 months ago! It was crazy. He brought up that I was going through a hard time last he saw me. He was right on. I can't believe he remembered my friend and I from months ago. That's a good bartender! It showed me that he cared about his customers. It was nice we were able to get seated right away but our server didn't come by for a solid ten minutes. Our server was nice though and came by a few times after our order was taken. Food wise, everything was just ok. The onion ring tower was a good idea but they tasted not fresh and kinda stale, sad. The burgers were fine, not great not bad. It was nice they had a vegetarian burger option. Truffle fries were pretty good, and the fried pickles were delicious and I liked how skinny they were cut. The raspberry smash was refreshing and not too sweet but my guava marg was sooo sweet even though I asked for it without the extra agave. The kids macaroni is actually just boxed Kraft Mac and cheese:( and lukewarm too. If I had known it wasn't house made I would've ordered something else for my son, he's picky about his Mac and cheese and won't eat the boxed stuff haha. Overall I think finneys would be fine to grab a beer and watch a game with friends over some apps. I don't think we would necessarily be back to eat a meal. read more

It's a little expensive for what you get but the beer is really good, the staff are awesome, and if you are looking to see the game it's a good chance that it's on somewhere. The appeal of this restaurant is that it's a good place to meet up before going to the movies. read more

Me and the wife went to happy hour which only runs from 3 to 5pm. Food was delicious. I had the carnitas nachos and my wife had the chicken and waffles. Brews were great had the Finney All American lager which was $6 for HH. Wines ran from $7 to $9. Place was pretty noisy with a bar atmosphere. Overall a good dining experience and I do recommend HH as menu had many options. I do wish they would expand the time until 6pm. read more

I tried Finney's today for the 1st time and was severely disappointed by the food & service. I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and although flavorless, the dish seemed ok at first. After eating half my meal, I noticed that there was a used toothpick covered in sauce beneath my food. I was appalled by this and by the thought that perhaps my plate was not washed properly before serving me my food When I mentioned this to the manager on duty, he offered little remorse and no discount. How could you serve someone a dish with a used toothpick & still make the customer pay full price?!?! Unbelievable & unprofessional.
