    espresso martini

It's a typical American food place, nothing extraordinary. Food is as expected. My cobb salad was pretty enjoyable, fresh, and a great portion size. Also enjoyed my espresso martini. The burger my husband had was dry and lacking in flavor so we probably wouldn't get it again. Overall an easy spot to grab a decent lunch and quick service. Just not my first go-to eatery in Brea.

    Strawberry was my favorite!

My new favorite is the chicken southwest chicken bowl!! It was delicious!! All the flavors were perfect!! I got the margarita flight and the strawberry flavor was my favorite! The watermelon just tasted dilated and the other 2 were OK. The prime rib cheesesteak sandwich was great and my husband would definitely get it again! We would definitely return. Service was great!

I decided to walk in after the gym as it smelled really good. Because I had just finished working out I didn't wanna eat something that would make me feel guilty. I had not noticed that they had some healthy items on their menu so I decided to walk in. This time I was by myself and did not have my wallet with me so I asked if I could use Apple Pay to pay which you can. I decided to sit at the bar by myself. The bar area had a good ambience with a game from the Dodgers playing. The bartender was really friendly and made me feel welcomed. Once I ordered my beer came out pretty quick and my burger followed not too long after. I ordered the bison burger, and it was really good. I saw a few other items that would be guiltless or not as unhealthy that I will most likely try on a different location after the gym when I'm hungry and don't feel like cooking afterwards.

We haven't eaten at Finney's for several months and this place never disappoints. The three of us wanted a nice, relaxing lunch so asked if we could be seated in a booth and away from the group with the young child. The hostess happily accommodated us (and we did hear that child scream and cry several times during the time we were there). We were seated in a booth, but unfortunately, we were across from a group of two women and one man who kept saying every version of "f***" there was. We really didn't need to hear any of that especially with our daughter with us. People really need to have more class. Ryenne was our server who told us it was only his third day training at Finney's. We all thought he did a great job! He was extremely friendly, talkative seemed excited and happy to be working here. Our food was really good! We were all in the mood for some type of burger. My husband had the Wagyu Burger, which he said was excellent! My daughter had to Finney's Craft Burger, which she enjoyed. And I ordered the new Turkey Burger with it lettuce wrapped. It was really good! I ordered one order of large french fries, which we all shared and was plenty for the three of us to share. We started with the Crispy Brussels which were so crunchy and delicious! My daughter also really enjoyed her Sprite Dirty Soda. We'll definitely be back in the near future ard hopefully not be seated close to any classless patrons.

    Watermelon smash

Came in for "just one drink" and somehow ended up emotionally attached to the Watermelon Smash Super refreshing, dangerously easy to drink, and gave summer backyard party energy in the best way. The Mexican candy shot also did what it needed to do... tiny but mighty lol. The atmosphere was lively without feeling overwhelming, and the bartenders were cool and quick even when it got busy. Definitely one of those spots where you accidentally stay longer than planned because everybody's vibing. 10/10 would come back for another "I'll only stay for an hour" lie.

Burgers were good, but service was disappointing! Came on a Saturday night and it was busy, but not all the tables were full. Waited about 10-15 mins before someone took our order. It looked like they had a lot of workers, but maybe not enough servers? We ordered the following: - Hickory bbq burger $14 Great burger but they forgot the bbq sauce. I didn't notice until a few bites in. It took a while to get some service and my burger was cold by the time the sauce came. - A5 Wagyu burger $17 Really good, but the burger was fairly small! I don't think it was that worth it for the price. - Large truffle fries $9 Good size and just ordered a large to share between two people. Loved the type of fries, but way too salty. Overall, food was 4/5, but service was lacking. Finished our waters but no one came by to check in or refill either.

Came here with a party of 9 and unfortunately this was the most disorganized Finney's location I've visited. We called ahead and were told a 10-minute wait, but when we arrived it became 20 minutes. We were then seated in a booth that was way too tight and uncomfortable for our group. Drinks came out separately and spread apart, menus were sticky, and the restaurant was much louder than other locations. Food was hit or miss--the grilled cheese was inconsistent, and the mini lobster rolls were disappointing. On the positive side, the avocado rolls, poke nachos, and poke bowl were all good. I did appreciate that they allowed us to split the check for a large group. Overall, I like Finney's, but the Brea location probably isn't one I'd return to. My favorite is still the Orange location.

Can't say anything bad about this place... Luis the bartender and kelsey the manager are amazing... with the rest of the staff just as great... food amazing, so I know the cooks are doing there part.... what I want to know, who's idea is it to close at 9pm during the week when you have other restaurants open till 11 and midnight... you lose so much business closing at 9... you have cha chas , macallans, brunos and yardhouse staying open... if this place does not make it, it's because of corporate

Had a below average experience on Fathers Day. The waitress was super stoned and forgot to take my wife's order. She walked away after taking 4 of our tables orders. The burger was decent a little dry with a small patty. Poke nachos not good at all, very dry with not much fish on them. The worse part was the wings! We had the Cajun dry rub and mango habanero. There was no difference between the 2 flavors, both were dry with no seasonings and the wings had barely any meat. I wish I asked for my money back on these 2 orders.

Had such a great first experience here. The customer service is top notch. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server never missed a refill. The food was amazing. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. They have some of the friendliest staff ever. The establishment itself was nice and open with plenty of seating. There were big screens everywhere so you could see the soccer matches wherever you sat. The bathrooms are also nice and tidy. Can't wait to come back.

The pepperoni pizza for happy hour and the belching beaver peanut butter stout!

Been here at least half a dozen times since and their food has always been good. In the recent past, I got the Moroccan salad with chicken and thought it was really good! And The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was excellent! I've ordered that a few times now. Today I ordered the Mediterranean protein bowl with chicken and the chicken was a little tough, dry and salty unfortunately. The dishes were decent overall. One complaint I have however, is in their restroom. They don't offer paper towels to wipe your hands with after washing them. I don't feel like a blower is as sanitary, takes too long, and you have to grab the door handle to open the door to exit! Pleeease can you invest in some paper towels for the bathrooms...?

Awesome food , service , and deals!! Very bright ambiance and friendly atmosphere, definitely recommend trying the naughty sauce nitro brew, it's an excellent stout and the happy hour here is one you can not beat , if you're in the area stop by... super friendly , fast and very friendly, I have been here multiple times and have yet to be disappointed!!! Ari and Saray are awesome help!

Currently extremely hot inside this place.

They tried to charge me $1.50 for a cup of hot water after I spent almost $100 dollars. Read all the negative comments first, and then you'll know what I mean. This place will verbally fight you to the bone, not the employees but the owners themselves husband and wife. If you complain about as little as something like why was I charged for a hot cup of water or anything, the owner will verbally argue with you over it. Let me tell you, my experience and my daughter's experience with this restaurant, we left there traumatized. Why? Because we politely asked why we were charged for a hot cup of water. First, the wife came to our table with a bad attitude, talked to us about the charges, and then the husband came over to our table with the same attitude and that's when everything went bad. "I let my daughter handle the defense using logic with them and she did a good job." She explained well and clearly to them but on the other hand, the owner's husband and wife would not stop arguing with us.  My daughter and I were so embarrassed by the way they acted in front of their other cutomers that were looking and listening to their argument about us. They don't have any shame whatsoever! The argument didn't go anywhere bc these owners' husband and wife will not back down, or stop arguing. They will keep going until we are completely drained. They even told us not to come back. "Duh", who would come back to that place? So we paid, they took out the charge $1.50 for the hot cup of water, and guess what, we even gave them a decent tip despite what happened - that's our donation for their anger management therapy. "So, there you have it, folks" That's our experience with Our Nest restaurant and the horrible owner's husband and wife. Btw, my comment for the food is two words VERY SALTY!   Good luck goers, if you see this restaurant out of the blue, just pretend you didn't see anything.

First timer for the Old Brea Chop House and I cannot wait to go back. I recommend making…read morereservations if you can because it was quite busy. I looked online for a dress code but didn't see an official policy on their website. Most folks were dressed up, but I saw some more casual outfits too so I wouldn't stress too much about it. Here is what we ordered: - Bread: Fist basket is complimentary and any additional refills are $8 per basket. One is more than enough for two people. They had an assortment of three different breads and all were tasty. - Jidori Chicken Schnitzel: This is a thinly sliced, breaded, chicken breast topped with capers and served with a charred half lemon and a lemon/butter sauce on the side. It was juicy and the breading added a nice crunch. Amazing flavor and I would order this again. - Center Cut Ribeye (Medium Rare): The steak was served with some roasted garlic and rosemary and was cooked perfectly. - Potatoes Au Gratin: The flavor for the potatoes au gratin was there, but I wish the potatoes were sliced more thinly. They were too chunky and I felt some bits needed to be cooked a little longer. - Brussels Sprouts: This is THEE side to order. The bacon steak is an add on for $10. Pricey, but necessary. They were so good and we couldn't get enough. - Butter Cake: If you know about Maestro's famous butter cake, then this is strong competition if not on par with Maestro's. Absolutely delicious and paired very nicely with their cappuccino. Service was 10/10 as well.

Although we may not have initially been heading to Macallans Public House, my husband ended up enjoying the experience, food, and service! We came in on a warm and beautiful day, so we opted to stay outside in their patio area. Macallans Public House is located in Downtown Brea. They offer a wide selection of alcoholic beverages and their food menu offers several options for various palettes. Our order consisted of - Bruschetta - Pear and Prosciutto Flatbread - Bacon and Brie Burger Everything was tasty. The bruschetta had amazing flavor and the Pear and Prosciutto flatbread was unique in all of the best ways. To be honest, the Bacon and Brie burger was also really good. I love Brie, so putting it on a burger was heavenly. The only thing that left a bad impression was my napkin; it smelled of the stench of wet dog. The whole napkin and every inch of it. I noticed immediately wiping my mouth with it! I thought I may be crazy, but my husband gave it a sniff all around and agreed. It smelled awful and made me question the cleanliness of the spot. Macallans Public House would definitely be a revisit for my husband so I would likely revisit with him if he really wanted to stop by in the future.
