Really nice service, quick and delicious food. Totally recommend the Brussels. They were great. My kiddo and husband loved their burgers.

I've been to Finney's Goleta a few times now before writing this review, and I have to say, the food has been consistently great. What really stands out, though, is the service--it's definitely a step up from the Santa Barbara location. Today, I felt compelled to finally write this because the staff went above and beyond. Blake was on point the entire time, making sure everything was perfect. And Angie has checked in on us every visit, which really adds to the welcoming atmosphere. Good ol' Finney's! Go to the downtown location a lot and this one is substantially closer to my house so I was excited to see if it's the same quality. Deviled eggs were delicious as ever my only complaint is that it's weirdly 5 halves or 2.5 eggs (just give us the full 3 for the price!). Hubby had the chicken and waffle bites which he will order with sauce on the side next time because they got soggy FAST. Still yummy but would be even better if everything wasn't drowning in the sriracha maple. I had the mini finney burgers, classic sliders and decent portion. We shared the sweet potato fries which came with some type of horseradish aioli that was amazing. Super packed on a Friday night for various football games and they have a wide selection of cocktails and beers for a watch party. My main note would be their smaller 2-top style tables are pretty scarce, so larger parties get seated a bit quicker and you can expect a wait if you are only 2-3 people during busy hours. read more

17 years ago I walked into this space when the former tenant Hollister Brewing opened for the first time. That was the beginning of a beautiful relationship of many hundreds of visits that unfortunately ended with HBC's closing last year. I was both exited and a bit trepidatious walking back into this space this week. I was well rewarded as the place has never looked better and the vibe was as electric and fun as ever. The beer board is great and broken down into light, fruity, hoppy, hoppier, toast and malty sections. 30+ taps overall. Not being a hop-head It's GREAT to see a variety of not so hoppy beers. ;-). Food wise the offerings are a bit more mainstream but that's understandable as they are part of a multi location group so things need to be cohesive across locations. Quality wise the food was excellent. I went for a bacon-bleu burger which I feel is a good metric for any place and it did not disappoint! Cooked just right to medium and with perfect bacon, onion stings and a large,super flavorful portion of bleu cheese. The menu iteration had a Buffalo sauce with this combo but I asked for that on the side as I felt the flavor as I had it was epic and just don't think the Buffalo sauce worked so I'm glad I had it left off. On the other side the Kalua tacos were richly flavored and the pickled veggies and kimchi dressing added that nice tang. On top of that their particular tortillas are incredibly flavorful, not sure what they do to them. Getting kinda long I know but I need to mention that the service was great, we had a young man named Chase and he was the perfect server, fast efficient and flawless with all the details. Food came out fast and everything was just as ordered. One other thing that was new to me at Finneys and I really liked was the pay at the table terminal. No more waiting for the server to come get your card and bring it back etc. you just pay right there whenever you want and leave at your own leisure! Love it. I give this place a thumbs down for ambiance. It is so loud inside the restaurant you cannot carry on a conversation. The only place to sit without the loud tvs and music is outside on the patio. When we asked the assistant manager to turn music down she says it's under corporate control. I will not go back for that reason. Food was good. read more

Not sure what is going on with this facility, but tried to order online and Goleta was not an option. Went inside waited 40 minutes for five items. When I left with all the containers and got home, they forgot two of the main dishes. You would think after taking an extra long time to get the food ready They could manage to get all five items in the bag. Disappointed because their food is good. the service was poor. read more

It's my understanding that this was their official opening night for this location. The place was busy and full. There is another location in downtown Santa Barbara. I had been to the restaurant that was in this previous location (Hollister Brewing Company). The remodel of the location is amazing! It's a very welcoming atmosphere. I'm a sports fan, so I loved all the TVs with various sports broadcasts. The craft beer selection is great. Lots of variety and mostly LOCALLY made beer. I had the pastrami sandwich and fries. I thought the food was very good and good portions. Glad to see this restaurant in our Goleta neighborhood! read more

My husband and I were so bummed when we showed up at the "soft opening" the place was only half full, and the girls at the hostess station were pretty snotty and told us that it was only a soft opening and that we weren't really welcome there. That will be the first and last time I ever stopped there. Super rude and unnecessary and if I was the owner, standing behind people, turning away brand new customers. I would be really really unhappy. Maybe train your staff a bit better? read more

Nice sports bar in shopping center by Costco. Lots of parking. The place was very busy on a weekend night but we were able to be seated right away. Hostess and waiter checked on us often and were very friendly. Solid selection of beers although we did not try any. We had the chicken chipotle sandwich, steak egg rolls and wings. Went for lunch during UCSB parents weekend. Always able to get a variety of things to eat. It's sports bar. The wagyu burger was fantastic. Yuzu wings had a nice flavor and spice profile. Margarita flatbread had a decent amount of Barata cheese. read more

Came here for Happy Hour, and I was not disappointed! Our server Valerie was super attentive and was everything you could want in a server. We were quickly seated and greeted by the host too. First off- my wife and I are in our mid 60's. Went in during happy hour. Host took one look at us and promptly walked us back to the old folks section near the back of the restaurant. Plenty of other seats to choose from. Ordered food and had a decent meal. Problem is that there is a self check out POS device on each table. The server at some point decides that you are done and tells you that you can pay the table at the table and leave when you want. The service just dries up at that point. Tip starts at 20%. We were greeted and seated. Our server was changed out for a different person who introduced themselves. We ordered water, iced tea and lunch all at the same time. After 20 minutes, and having to change our order because they didn't have turkey burgers available, we asked for our water. Our waiter said he'd bring it right out. Another 10 minutes went by. We waited over one half hour for water, only to have it never arrive. We gave up and left. We would have told our waiter but he was MIA. Terrible service. Watching game 7 of the World Series. I ordered a smash burger with fries and they delivered the burger no fries, through door dash. Burger got cold waiting to fix it and never could. No door dash again but the error was Finney's since the bag was sealed. Called the restaurant and got a message that they could not help me at tis time. read more

What a joke. The side salad, I could fit it in the palm of my hand. The burger patties were not even big enough to find inside the hamburger bun. My fries container wasn't even full. Definitely not going back, because the last three times there's been something off with each meal. read more

First time trying Finney's. Perfect spot for watching sports! Open air vibe with plenty of table and bar seating. Diverse menu serving all types of pub-fare food options. Great local beer list as well and excellent service from the second we walked in. Food is always great here. But, unfortunately during our visit tonight the service was very poor. Our server was kind but not attentive at all. I was accidentally served a salad with an ingredient I was allergic to and made clear to the server I could not consume, obviously not the servers fault, but she didn't come to check on our table once and it was basically impossible to get anyone else's attention. Long story short, my boyfriend and I ate our dinners 30+ minutes apart due to the time it took to get my salad sent back and served again. Again, not anyone's fault in particular but it ruined our date-night and we didn't even get the salad comped. Other than this particular instance this place is good, maybe just avoid busy times since service can be poor. read more

Being open for only 5 days, I was very pleased. Had lunch and later stopped for an easy bite. Nice beer selection and very nice menu. Lunch was great! The bite for dinner was buffalo wings. Just left from having lunch with my coworkers for my birthday here. I've been a few times and have never had a bad experience, but today was by far my best experience I've had here. Not only were the music and tv programs perfect for the day, but the food was cooked to perfection, the drinks were on point, and our server (Blake) was AMAZING. Blake was quick, nice, polite, and very attentive! I couldn't believe it when I heard it was his first week here- I could've sworn he'd been here since the opening of the restaurant based on his level of knowledge and skill. This place is horrible. Worst service I've had. Weak beer. And should be a play ground for kids. You can't watch the tvs because the lights are right next to them.
