Dave saved my wedding dress!! I was trying on my wedding dress and my friend's dog had an accident on the train of the dress (I wish I was kidding). I immediately went to a dry cleaner close by and they said they weren't able to get it cleaned because the dog's urine soaked through both layers of the dress. I looked around a lot before I committed to a business to take my wedding dress in for cleaning, and I'm glad that I took the time. I also called before I took the dress in to get an estimate and, David, the owner, answered the phone and was very friendly to speak with on the phone and in person. I let him know that I would not be keeping the dress so I just needed it to be cleaned so that I can pass it on however I see fit and he gave me a $150 estimate, which they stuck to. I received a phone call about a week and a half later to let me know that the dress was ready for pick-up and they even put the cleaned dress into a fabric garment bag instead of returning it in the plastic cover that it was wrapped in before. I was very happy with the job David did on my daughter's wedding dress. She had an outdoor ceremony, so the hem was dirty and had bits of grass and leaves. In addition, someone spilled wine on the bottom part of the dress. Unexplained stains, missing buttons, etc. I came to Finto / Eagle originally to have my wedding dress preserved because there were so many wonderful online (not just yelp). I am SO glad I did that, because my dress and veil have been preserved beautifully and now we have our local favorite dry cleaners. :) David and his team do an amazing job, are so detail oriented, and David always wants his guests to feel like friends. Each time I come he remembers my name, asks about my husband, and helps me get our (copious amount of) clothing out to my car. I chose this cleaner based on the reviews that I read here. The reviews here were not in keeping with my experience. I called and was quoted about $165.00. Mr. Finto was very friendly and accommodating. I dropped off a borrowed dress with some stains and based on the reviews here, I was expecting miracles. I needed the dress in a week and was told no problem. Upon picking up the dress and paying a hefty price of $200.00, there was a stain right in the middle of the bodice that was very evident. Upon further review, there were very yellow pit stains as well. I was told after the fact, that those would not come out. My question is, then why did you go ahead with the work if you could not get the stains out and charge me more than the stated quote, instead of phoning me to give me the option to not move forward with the dress. I felt taken advantage of and on my tight budget, $200.00 hurts, especially since I won't be wearing the dress. A $25.00 discount was a nice gesture, however, it does not soften the blow of wasting $175.00. I can appreciate the time that was put into trying to clean the dress, however, both of us could have saved time and money with a bit of communication. I cannot give a good review or referrals based on my experience. read more
