Where do I begin!? Love this place! Fresh breath of air for Indian lake & total hidden gem. 1) it's a wine bar 2) it's a driving range What a perfect combo! Place is super cute and the wine bar is set up like most. You walk in, they have lots of seating, they have a gift shop, a bar tasting area, and an outdoor area. We tried all the available whites by the glass. The Pinot Blanc was our favorite. So much so we ordered a bottle to go. The Riesling and rose were a close second favorite. Chardonnay was good too but it's buttery so maybe better suited (for me) in the colder season. Today was a hot day out. Ohhhh and the chocolate red wine tasted like a tootsie roll pop! So here's the deal- you can order flights of wine for $12 or you can create your own 1 ounce flight tastings for $1 each pour. We did the white flight and then ordered our 1 ounce pours of the other whites. Food- we had the chocolate, the small cheese board (not small, but a good serving size), and the hummus. Manager- my only recommendations: 1) Hummus app- use real cut carrots. Not the processed baby carrots 2) Sauvignon Blanc- use the one from New Zealand for the flight tasting. You'll get more likes Love the place overall and if I lived in the area I'd be back more often!

I had the privilege of working at Fion wine room and I can not speak highly enough of the experience a customer receives when they enter Fion. The staff takes time to get to know their customers and cater the experience to match their needs and demands. Enjoy Fion in the summer out on the lawn, in the fall under the hanging lights in the side rooms or in the winter by the fireplace in the main space. They offer a wide selection beer, wine and a limited cocktail menu as well as small plates. My personal favorites include Apple Cider Wine Slushy, Haus Riesling and the Coastal Vines Pinot Noir.

The Met has a policy that your server gets to proudly wear a crown if their name is mentioned in a five star review. Love that policy!! Wear it proudly Ashely!! The Met is a unique building downtown Lima. It was built in the late 1880's and was originally home to the The Metropolitan Bank. It has since been morphed into a restaurant with very attractive original features. The wood floors and plaster ceilings...along with the attractive decor really enhance the dinning experience! The team here is very friendly, professional and welcoming. Ashley was outstanding. She hustled, knew her menu and had great recommendations. Ashley was very attentive and helped us enjoy the evening. I appreciated Liz stopping by and welcoming us. Liz shared lots of history and helped us appreciate the facility. The Met has a large food menu that has something for everyone. They have a large selection of beverages and specialty cocktails. All at reasonable prices. We started with a couple of Mule drinks. One was a designer St. Patrick's Day Mule and their specialty Met Mule. Both were very tasty, cool and refreshing . We started with the Focaccia bread appetizer. It had a lightly golden/chewing top with a soft and moist inside. Liz said that they make the bread fresh three times a day. The bread had a slight olive oil taste with a mild amount of Italian herbs. The soft whipped butter was a nice add. The side salad had lots of fresh spring greens. There was a few tasty tomatoes and lots of stronger tasting onions. The thin Parmesan cheese shreds were an excellent touch. The house ranch dressing was very smooth/light/creamy moderately thin with a mild ranch taste. My wife had the chicken bacon ranch flatbread. The crust was thin and crispy. She really liked the ranch house made sauce and how it accented the meat toppings. I had the Met Meatloaf which had an outstanding meat flavor. The meat was made with Italian sausage which had a slightly spicy kick. It was moist and tender to go along the beefy taste. The smooth red sauce on top was slightly sweet & spicy. It accented the meat nicely. The mashed potatoes were real with lumps, eyes and minute peel pieces. Very smooth and delicious! The grilled asparagus had a slight crisp to go along with the tender stalk. Not much seasoning detected...just a nice olive oil taste. Overall a fantastic dinner experience. We sat street level and watched the pedestrians come & go while enjoying the decor of this unique facility! The menu is large and the food and drinks are outstanding. A special trip to The Met in downtown Lima is worth a try!

We arrived at 11:30 and left at 2. They were nice to let us linger. Everything we had was terrific. Soups are made in-house. I'm thinking most all things on the very large menu were probably very good. They seem to care about the details. We also shared some ice cream cookie sundae concoction that was 5*. Metered parking on the street and there was a free lot but it was full. Meters were $2 for two hours. Nice staff and there were no staff shortages! Lilly our server was perfect. If we pass through again we will stop in! The bar area is exquisite.

I really enjoy this place and I've been visiting more and more often these days. It's just such a chill wine bar. The vibes are always on point, the staff is lovely (shoutout Chelsea for always being awesome), their selection is great, and the prices are fair. If you ever want to enjoy some food while sipping a glass you can order it from Hubbard Grill next door and they'll bring it over to you. If you want some entertainment during your visit, they have a TV but the people watching on High St is prime time. They also have an upstairs which is perfect if you have a party. Give them a visit next time you're in need of a relaxing time and a glass of your favorite wine.

Once we realized we didn't, we went downstairs to order our drinks and food at the bar. I had the braised beef sliders with brussel sprouts and they were so good! The food is from Hubbard Grill so that's a fun addition. The wine section is vast, but there is a corkage fee of around $12 for any bottle bought in the store that you want to drink.

I think we spent $70 with a tip and that was for 3 people. No Alcohol. One soda and 3 entrees and an appetizer. Again, the food wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing. I posted pics of what we got. The shrimp po boy was probably the most disappointing. Don't get me wrong...loaded with shrimp but just your pre-made shrimp, fried and served. My Rasta pasta was really good. Plentiful and heat was just right. The little piece of bread tasted like it may have been a bit out of date. The jerk cheesesteak was good and good flavor. Fries were my favorite. Had a bit of the coating on them and crunchy and just really tasty. Appetizer of fried ochre was 10 out of 10. Portion size was generous and they came out smoking hot and tasted great. Dining room was a bit odd...like a 60's jazz bar. Music was loud for the amount of people there. We were seated by one person who told us they would be serving us and then another guy came and told us he would be taking care of us. Seems like it may be a "whoever gets to the table first and takes an order gets the table". It was an odd exchange when the girl who seated us came back only for us to say some guy already took our drink order. Unclear as to who was supposed to do what but that made things a little weird. I would be willing to go back but my wife wasn't impressed so I don't know as we will return. We wanted to try it as we had heard great things but now that we have, not sure we need to go back. Food wasn't awful, something just left an odd taste with us and our experience.

The ambiance is laid-back urban sophistication and a stong Spanish flavor. Such a feel-good setting, and I felt like I was back in New York for a bit. Especially with my first impression that it was a very tiny cozy place, 10 or so bar seats, two 2-tops and an SRO window counter. But I later learned of the much bigger dining room that was not in use when we visited on Sunday afternoon. Additionally there is covered outdoor seating (not an option at present with all these rainstorms). Our server was such a gentleman, so helpful, prompt, kind, engaging and attentive. I'm sorry I didn't get his name but I hope we'll see him again on a future Sunday. The food is just off the charts, unique, lovingly prepared, high quality, incredible flavor combinations, nicely presented, and so delicious. My husband and I shared Curry Chicken Sliders (perfect level of warming curry, soft bun plus crispy fresh greens), Brussel Sprouts (tender crisp, lightly glazed perfection; there is a choice of glazes, might try the honey next time), Meatballs (light in texture, hearty in seasoning, in a wonderful sauce), and the amazing bacon-wrapped dates which are indescribable. Just. Get. Them. We loved all four dishes and I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. Food arrived at a good pace. Lots of wines from the Iberian peninsula, three craft beers on tap and a full bar. They also sell bottles of wine. The parking lot here is also pretty pequeño but there are some spots on the side street. We find ourselves in Urbana on the occasional Sunday and next time we do, believe me there will be another visit to Pequeños. ¡Gracias!
