Went to Froggy's this weekend for the first time and I cannot wait for summer after my trip! my mom and I arrived on a cold Sunday and there was a group of people sitting around the bar and immediately was asked to join them. They were playing some kind of dice game that cost a dollar to join and if you roll a certain amount of dice you can win a free drink. The people at the bar ended up buying everyone a turn so of course we did to. The guy sitting near me, recommended a Creamsicle kind of drink, which was good, but I think I'll stick to my regular order. After looking at the menu, I decided to get Chunk N Dunks which is a thin layer of breading on a chicken nugget. It was very good, I got a side of ranch and a side of California gold after the recommendation of Nick, our bartender. My mom got a quesadilla that was FANTASTIC. After we ate, Nick offered to show us around the bar as it was pretty closed off since it had just snowed. During the summer, they have live music and a swim up bar that can hold around 200+ people. I cannot wait to come back to town for some shows and to meet new people as everyone around was so friendly. They also had a pool table and some games inside for people to be entertained during the winter. According to their website, they have a lot of activities going on including bingo, pool and darts and much more. Thank you again, Nick for showing us around. Meh. Went for rib night Thursday. Got there just before 6 and was told only a slab and half left! So once we picked our table from the nearly empty restaurant, we immediately ordered two half slabs to be sure we didn't get undercut by another person wanting ribs. Hard to believe the rib shortage on, you know, rib night. But we got our ribs and, well, not great. Short on meat, had some ligaments or whatever they are called in every other bite. Sides were skimpy. Other person's quesadilla was tasty. Mahi Mahi salad was lacking in quality mahi mahi and flavor. Had a cherry wood smoked Old Fashioned that was tasty. The staff was friendly as any I've encountered. They answered our questions thoroughly and made sure we got what we wanted. And great live music. But the food... meh. Must be a place for tavern food and pizza but definitely not for ribs.. .even on rib night. read more

Froggy's is yet another Indian Lake bar. It may be the only one with a swimming pool. That's what it's known for. Also has a pretty nice patio. The drinks are okay but the food sucks. It takes a bit longer to get here. It's located much further away from the rest of the stuff going on in the towns around the lake. This place is on the northern side. It's pretty isolated. There's a few other bars nearby. It's close to the Tilton Hilton. There's a residential area around these. As for the bar, it's not the worst in the area. Good things include the drinks. Cheap drinks are a good thing at any bar. I had a Jim Beam and Cherry Coke. This is about $2 for a glass, and it was pretty strong. One more thing is the swimming pool. There aren't many bars where you can take a swim. It's only open in the spring and summer, but the bar stays open all year long. The rest of the bar stinks. Literally. The bathrooms aren't the only part that smells like piss. Eat before going. The food is all fried and terrible. It is on the northern side of the lake. It can be hard to find. This is a bit off from State Route 235 on a residential street. read more

Had a great evening at Froggy's resort. We rented three units, had fun watching OSU game, great pizza & overall had a fun weekend. Rentals are very nice and clean. We had covered boat dock for our pontoon. 8 couples spent the night. Enough room, bedding, space for the entire group. Mostly used one kitchen for all our snacks & drinks. We will stay here again. Great way to get a large group together for a safe night out and no one driving. Very few in our party had ever been to Indian Lake or Froggy's. All left talking about planning another trip where we spent entire weekend. Only issue we had was miscommunication on rental change. Easily taken care of once able to speak with the owner. read more

Happened on this place while shopping for an RV. Had the broasted chicken then dipped in the pool. Had so much fun and the food was so good we got a bunch of people together and headed up for the weekend. We had the broasted chicken and 10 other things to share. We enjoyed everything Alexis was a great server, we waited for nothing, always had full drinks. The bands were great service was great the pool was great. A real gem that you could stumble into. read more

Seriously the WORST FOOD EVER! We stopped today and I couldn't believe food could be this bad. We ordered chicken nachos. The nachos were a basket of stale chips topped with COLD chicken strip (like the Grilled Tyson strips in a bag) a few jalapeños that looked questionable and shredded cheese that barely covered the top few chips and was cold - barely melted. Look, if you don't want to put effort into food then just make yourself a bar only. The other items were obviously premise freezer items. I never knew food could be this bad or made with so little care or regard for the customer. Not to mention the place looks filthy. read more

It's the beginning of October, so our experience was probably a little different from most reviewers'. Service was spot-on and the food was good (for where we were and what it was; expectations weren't super high). I'd recommend the Froggy Sub and the fries are good, too. Plastic forks are the "silverware", though. While waiting on our food, we walked around and looked at the swim-up bar and 2nd floor dining area above it. We can't wait to come back next year when it's opened up. 'Till then, we won't be back. The place was filthy! It looks like a frat house after a summer's worth of parties. The menus were coated in food goo and the floor hadn't been swept in ??? I just hope they chlorinate the pool really well :) read more

Just got here we rode up nice place got a swimming pool Lota hot women. Couple full-service bars one at the pool and one for sure inside ar. OK here's an update we were up here yesterday Saturday, August 3. I went into the pool this time really a great party. Ran into a bunch of people I knew from school and we had a blast. The band was great Shuck and Bubba deluxe. They kept the party going it was a hell of a lot of fun. To the people that run this place no f******smoking in the pool. What the hell guys. If you Gotta do that shit do it outside the pool. I saw two people smoking in the pool I've never seen that before in my life and I've been around this world couple times who the f***smokes in a pool ?? So my advice is post a sign no smoking in the pool. That's as bad as shitting in the pool or pissing in the pool to me. You got a nice place there don't let idiots like that ruin it. My advice is if you go up there definitely bring your swimming trunks with you it's worth the five bucks to go in the pool and party. I would I had some really great pictures if I would have brought my phone maybe next time. read more

I was really excited when I got here. For my kids they couldn't even come in because you have to be 21 years old and older. My kids had to go to the bathroom so we thought maybe they would just let us do that, but they didn't this restaurant might be good with food but horrible service. Lovely place.... if you come with a full belly. THEN order your food. I have went on several occasions. Once, on rib night, even the owner came out and was casually inquiring why we hadnt been served. (Made jokes, etc.) They never said sorry, took a percentage off, nothing. When ordering another time, we waited and waited. (While others around us, who came much later were eating). Upon being served, then our waitress came back to check on us a few times. Too little too late. Also, another tid bit of information, they have a 2 refill limit on pop... it's fountain pop. And they fill it full of ice. I don't know what happened here...Froggy's was such a cool place to visit...Music, swim up bar...but the last few times we have been there...The service has been awful, food sub-par and the wait staff unfriendly and not very attentive. During the summer when you want to see a live band or take a swim, it's perfect. Atmosphere is great but the food and service is hit or miss. It's nothing special. You're really paying for the music and swim up bar... The swim area tends to be a younger crowd that can get rowdy so not really a spot for families, if that's what you had in mind. read more

We had a great time at lunch today! We sat inside at the bar, which is away from their poolside bar with live music because my wife is pregnant and didn't want be in the sun. Nicole was great! She had no problem tending bar and serving diners. It was our first time there, but we felt like regulars as all the patrons at the bar were friendly, welcoming, and conversational. I had a pizza amd my wife had a burger amd chips. Both were excellent and served in a timely manner. Definitely will be back the next time we're at the lake! read more

Froggies has good food and decent servers but they do have what I consider to be an unfair business practice. If you use a credit card you are automatically charged 18% gratuity! This has nothing to do with the size of the party or amount of the bill. When you get the credit card authorization slip to sign it does not mention the fact that 18% gratuity is included in the bill but has a tip line for you to go ahead and tip the server twice if you do not pay attention to your actual bill that you have to ask for. They do not give it to you along with the credit card authoriztion form unless you specifically ask for it. This is a SCAM and I consider it theft. If I ever go to Froggies again I will definitely inform everyone about this if they do not change their policy. It is not mentioned in their menu and there are no signs posted to notifiy you of the automatic 18% gratuity that is charged for all credit card purchases. If you go to Froggies don't fall for the double tip SCAM. read more

We ate inside due to weather, service was okay, but the food and drinks were less than stellar. They serve everything in paper products, which is fine, but for a Solo cup size drink, they charge $2 and limit refills to 2, and the side salad was served in a tiny foam bowl, and they charged $3.25, which is severely overpriced for some lettuce, shredded mozzarella, and grocery store bottled dressing. Not to mention $6 for an order of cheesesticks (of which you only get 4 little ones).The chicken fingers were meh, but the burger my friend had was inedible. The flavor (I tried a bite) was so awful that I literally chewed twice and almost gagged. My first Pepsi was fine, but the second one I got (my first refill) tasted like someone poured black olive juice in it. My other friend (who's food was good, she had the tenderloin) had Pepsi as well; her first one was fine, but her refill tasted like chlorine bleach.
