We just had the best experience at Fiorentino's with our boys. What a view!!! Airplanes and helicopters were landing and taking off all through our meal which elated our three year old. It was hit sitting in the sun but totally worth it! The food was a bonus and delicious to boot. My son had a pretzel dog with the most crispy delicious French fries. My husband and I shared a flatbread Terra del Bosco which was absolutely delicious. I treated myself to an adult beverage Fifty Shades of Grape and it was so yummy and allowed me to reminisce of my grape popsicle days as a little girl. This is not your typical airport fare. Yes it is located at the tiny Lancaster Airport and a great place to dine while waiting for a flight but the locals also know it is good place to dine. This is a great place for large groups and kids. We sat at a table at the bar which was allowed us to watch the planes take off. The have a full bar including specialty cocktails. The menu is extensive with a lot of options from pasta and seafood entrées to pizzas. I went with a caesar salad and cup of pasta fagioli which was all very tasty with fresh ingredients. Others in my party went with a pasta dish which comes with soup or salad. I also recommend one of their specialty dishes which is a meatball caesar salad. We had great service and will sure to be back when in the area. read more

We flew into Lancaster's airport on a recommendation from some pilot friends that we try out Fiorentinos. We arrived at the local FBO and caught a ride across the ramp to the restaurant from a very friendly lineman. The restaurant is located in the passenger terminal building, and seems like it would be a good place to grab a bite before a flight out, or after a flight in. They also have a patio that overlooks the ramp, but it was a bit on the cold/windy side to sit outdoors on the evening we visited. I had the Chicken Parmesan and it was very good. I chose the a la carte portion as opposed to the entree (I think it's the same minus salad and bread), and it was the perfect size for me. The breading was crispy and well seasoned, and the chicken very tender yet juicy. The sauce was excellent, and it was all served on top of spaghetti noodles. The prices for the a la carte were not readily apparent in the menu (or I didn't see them), but I was pleasantly surprised when I received the bill that my dinner had cost about $7 before tax/tip. A meal of that quality would easily go for more than $20 in a big city. They also appeared to have a really nice bar area, and even from the seating area we could see some of the Sunday football action on their generous selection of flat screens. We'll definitely have to go back for another meal soon. read more

Prices are fair and food is plentiful! I ordered some kind of panini; I wish I could remember the name. It had a few types of italian cold cuts, I know Sopressata was one of them. It had lettuce, tomato and onion with some kind of olive relish. I must say, typically, I dislike olives a lot, but I decided to give this a try and I was NOT disappointed at all. I ate every bit of it. I ordered the half portion (For $5.95) and that was more than enough for me. But you can get the full portion for just $3 more. I'll definitely come back here! read more

The only reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1 is because of the food. The service is so hit or miss here, and we aren't talking a little miss, we are talking they crash and burn. I used to be a regular here, but now can't even stand to go in. Disappointing service consistently by a staff that just doesn't seem to care about taking care of guests. Fiorentino's is our go-to spot before or after a movie at Penn Cinema across the street. I always have the Ravioli with chicken prosciutto and peas in a blush sauce. The blend is lovely and neither the peas or ravioli are overcooked. I start with the tomato basil salad and ask for blue cheese crumbles, although it comes with fresh mozzarella which is just fine. My husband varies between many items from the salmon to the chicken marsala to the various specials and likes them all. Tips: They accept reservations, which are needed most nights. Ask for a booth in the pub area, which puts you at a window overlooking the airstrip. If you bring in your movie ticket stubs after the movie or receipt before the movie, they will give you 10% off. Great draft beer selection and very passable house wines by the glass. read more

I've been here about 5-6 times now and had something different each visit. I've never been let down. The food is good and the atmosphere is nice. I've had the chance to sit outside and eat and that's really cool with the airplanes. My father is a retired pilot and being at an airport feels like home to me. The only problem I've had here, although not the last two times I've gone, is slow and sometimes inattentive service but it seems to have improved as of late. This is a nice place to come and eat before or after a movie at Penn Cinema which is a 30 second drive down the road. I recommend giving it a try for a different experience. It's not everyday you can eat a good meal and watch planes coming and going. Sit outside if you can although be warned, that can get a little loud at times for a few minutes. read more

DISCOURTEOUS AND OFFENSIVE We have been patrons of this establishment for 3 years after we moved here. We visit every week for either lunch or dinner . . . sometimes just my husband and me, other times with our adult children, and other times with a group of friends. We never had a bad meal. Tonight, we we were a group of 4 and we were seated at a high top two person table. I slid a chair over from an empty table so we would have a place to put our purses as there was absolutely no room at all to place them on the table. Our purses were clutches and did not have straps to place over the back of the chairs. In the middle of my dinner, a young gal named Brooklyn came over and said you are going to have to move your purses in an impolite manner. First off, you do not interrupt a diner's meal, make them stop eating to rearrange their possessions and treat them unkindly. We all put our purses on our laps and finished eating. She wasn't even our server. She moved the chair back to an empty table that had no patrons nor did any patrons get seated at that table the entire time we were finishing our meal. As we were leaving, she set two people at a four top table where she had moved the chair. Granted if the chair had been needed and she wasn't so rude about asking us to move our purses, none of us would have had any issue at all. However, being nasty to us, moving the chair for no reason, making us hold our purses while eating our meal . . . is NOT good customer service. My business at Fiorentino's is over. After 3 years of enjoying this restaurant on a weekly basis, one offensive, ill-mannered, discourteous gal has ruined this place for me. Thank you Brooklyn ... and please take some classes on etiquette and manners. Just an FYI . . . the week before, we had the most fabulous service! The location is great, it is inside a small airport. The food used to be good. I don't know what happened. I went back a few times and don't bother anymore. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desires- crowded, noisy, like you are in the middle of everyone else's conversation. The biggest turn off for me were the dirty booths filled with crumbs and who knows what. I am giving it two stars because they have a "light" menu that is good for take out orders and their bread and olive oil that they put on the table are excellent. MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR FOOD FOR FOREIGN OBJECTS! Typically we know what we're getting here. Fairly generic italian fare, good atmosphere if you eat outside (or fairly sterile if you sit inside), and service that's best described as hit or miss, with it more frequently being miss. Last night though, was very poor. I took my daughter here for what I had hoped would be a good start to a date night. Our service was just meh, we were being helped by a younger gentleman named Brody, who seemed like he had never waited tables before the last week or so. We ordered our food, she had mac and cheese (standard fare for a 5 year old), and I order the shrimp and crab alfredo. After what seemed like 15-20 minutes our food arrived - hers was fine, mine was not. My first fork full of food revealed what turned out to be A METAL TWIST TIE. When I brought this to Brody's attention, I was met with a 'Aww man, I'm really sorry about that. Here I can take it for you...' and that was that. No offer to get me something else, no offer to comp the meal just 'I can take that for you' and no apology. I foolishly ate around my food a bit but lost my appetite quickly and we finished up. I understand I probably could and should have said something. We'd already been there for about 30 or 40 minutes though, and had to get on with our night. For the cost, the service/food/and atmosphere here should all be much better than they are. It seems like the training the staff gets is an issue as it's been this way for a very long time at this location. Something tells me this would be a good place for a TV show like Restaurant Impossible, something to help them get their act together and reach their potential. Long story short - there are 100s of better options throughout Lancaster. Pass on this one unless you're going to the movies and hard pressed for time - even then Hoss's (YES HOSS'S!) is probably a better option. read more

I believe this is in the process of going under new ownership so want to give them grace to figure out their kinks, but our last dining experience here was probably the worst we've ever had. Luckily we were with good friends so we were distracted enough for our 2.5 hour meal...if it were just my husband and I, we probably would've walked out before our food came (which we saw some others do as well). For starters, if you eat outside, it is a limited menu that does not include pasta at all. That was our biggest disappointment. Fiorentinos is known to be an Italian restaurant for their pasta, there needs to be an updated menu online or disclaimer that pasta isn't served outside before people come here. The outside menu included some apps, sandwiches and pizza-thats it. We sat down at 7pm and didn't receive our drinks until 8pm, food didn't come until 8:30 which at that point was when we ordered our second round of drinks. Our waitress came back to check on us after our meals were finished and realized we never got our second round (which at this point we definitely didn't need and should've just told her not to worry about it) so we didn't get our second round of drinks until 9:15. Which made our meal 2 1/2 hours long...2 rounds of drinks, 2 personal pizzas, a burger, and a meatball sub. Food was decent but definitely not worth the experience. I will say our waitress was literally running at times to fulfill her duties. She continued to let us know the kitchen was backed up and apologized/thanked us for being patient with her. This review is not against her what so ever- and the second star is solely because of her and how informed and transparent she was with us through out the entire meal. But management really needs to figure out a better process-if low on staff then give people a wait and don't seat them or let them know before they are seated to expect a 2 hour dinner. You are losing more customers who are walking out mid meal and I guarantee probably won't come back rather than giving them a wait until your staff has a manageable amount of tables to cater to (speaking mostly about kitchen and bartenders). This was my husbands first time here and when we told him it was known to be a nicer Italian restaurant on the same scale as Ciro's or Carrabba's he was floored and said he thought it was a dive bar at the airport-which honestly don't blame him for the experience we had. We will probably give them another chance in a few months once they have some time to figure stuff out so really hoping it start to go back to the great Italian restaurant we remember. read more

We have not had a good meal here yet. A few friends like the place so we get pulled in. We usually try to eat before we go. Last time a had a risotto dish, they served it with bacon. Well that turned out to be precooked limp, salty bacon. I think it was actually the stuff that in on the shelf in a store that doesn't need refrigerated. I had to send it back, they tried to fix it but that was horrible too. Wife's meal had zero flavor. Guess that was better than all the salt. read more

Yelped for this place and was skeptical about going with such a lower end rating. So we stopped in for lunch. I had nacho platter and wife had fish and chips. Pretty good actually and the prices were spot on. We also sampled the sangria (only sold by the glass) which is a disappointment since we would have liked to go with the pitcher for an evening. The atmosphere (called the "flight deck") wasn't open til happy hour so we couldn't take advantage of that. We will definitely stop back this weekend probably and try it again. This place is...okay. The prices are equal to or higher than most other restaurants of this caliber in the area. And honestly, you could do better than here. There are several around here I really look forward to visiting again. This one isn't one of them...whether I can watch the planes or not. Service was okay. Food was decent. We shared: 1. Modena pizza (fresh mozzarella, sliced tomato, basil, prosciutto, and a balsamic drizzle). The crust was supposed to be thin, but overall it was doughy. Not horrible, but not what the menu led us to picture. 2. Pasta Portifino -- penne, chicken, mushrooms, sausage slices, and shrimp in a slightly spicy tomato sauce. I really enjoyed this dish. 3. Ceasar salad was tangy and light. 4. Peach Cobbler adult beverage was well received by my wife. 5. Bread was warm on the outside but cool in the middle :( We had a large group and they took us ahead of a reservation -- we were told we needed to be out by 6:30. We had a fabulous dinner! We were visiting the area for our anniversary and we were trying to decide on a nice place for dinner. After much time on Yelp we decided to try here and we are very glad we did!! I had the lasagna, it was great! The bread comes got and with oil and Romano cheese to do it in, so good! They also offer Angry Orchard mixed drinks which were great. I am a huge hard cider fan and this is a great idea! My husband has the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were very good. Pick somewhere else in the Lancaster, unless you want to roll the die with this place. This was our second time dining here, first time for dinner. Things started off ok (drinks, salads and bread that is). Then the entrees came, we ordered the chicken parm as well as a 'risotto kayleigh', supposedly a 'Fiorentino's favorite'. The risotto was literally just white rice with a little sauce overtop, shrimp were super small but the chicken that came with the dish was good. Then the manager came around and asked how things were. I've literally in all my life never said anything (I once was a waitress and hated when people complained about minor things) but I thought that the asian white rice I received instead of risotto was worthy of my speaking up, so I told her about it.....and she did nothing nor even attempted to apologize or compensate by taking anything off. She seemed put off that I even gave her an honest answer. I ate most of the chicken and left the asian rice, and we don't plan on ever coming back. Had she actually acted like a manager and attempted to make kind of effort to show that she cared about the quality of food that was being served, this review wouldn't even have been written. read more

We have been coming hear for years and this place used to be awesome. This review is mainly based on the fact that in the past month we have come here 4 times on some really nice days to take advantage of the nice weather and sit on the patio. All 4 times we came the patio was closed and didn't open until 4, we came last night at 6 pm and now it says the patio is only open Saturday and Sunday? That's 4 opportunities they had to make money and we left to go enjoy the nice weather elsewhere. Seems like a missed opportunity to have such a nice out door patio that is closed the nicest time of year. May pop back in in the winter when the weather isn't so great, but until then we will be going to dinner at an establishment that has a patio. Service is usually decent and the food is ok at best, but used to be much much better read more

This wasn't my first time coming here; can't say I was blown away the first time, but I thought my four year would like sitting by the runway to see the planes and have lunch. Upon arriving we were seated promptly and our waitress took our drink order she brought me a flat soda and gave us more time to look over the menu. BIG mistake 15 minutes later I ask one of the other waitress if someone was going to come take my order. She said someone would be with me shortly. Our waitress stopped rolling silverware and come over to take our order. I asked for the check and told her I would rather go to place that wanted my business and left. As far as the food I never got any this time, but I can say from my last trip that it was ok and my last trip the service was ok. I will not be giving them another chance. read more

Was becoming a fan of this place after a few positive visits for happy hour, until this past Sunday. It started raining so the Flight Deck was almost empty. I had the misfortune of drawing Tyler as my bartender. What an awful experience. If you like having to flag down the bartender to get a napkin, another drink, a menu, etc I highly recommend visiting Tyler. I almost felt like I was bothering him while there. He did give plenty of attention to a fellow employee sitting at the bar enjoying a beer. The funny thing was on my way out, two ladies came in and said "oh Tyler is here, let's try inside." The guy must have a sterling reputation for great service! In a nutshell, the food was good but the service was embarrassingly awful. Service goes a long way though, as good food and good service go together for a great experience. read more
