This was our first time here and we loved it! Nice Tavern feel and good food. I got the chicken Parm, which was delicious and my husband got a sandwich which he loved. I would definitely return. We arrived at 6 PM with no reservation and they found a table for us and provided great service!

My friend mentioned this restaurant for a possibility when I came for my visit. I was intrigued by the concept and the menu. We did a day of touring Lancaster county and ended up back in Manheim where we thought, heeeyyyy, it's lunchtime! The outside is so adorable but you have to traverse a flight of steep steps to get up to the restaurant. When you enter you are assaulted by a feeling of being transported back to the 1920s. From the wall paper to the light fixtures, everything screams Art Deco. This was one of the few places I've been that has comfy chairs that fit a big behind. Yea! Then, out server came to the table. I honestly wish we could bottle her up and take to other places to show them the proper way to interact with patrons. Her name is Leah. Take a note of that name because if you ever go to this place, you WANT her to be her server. Now to the food. We both ordered the French onion soup. It was pretty tasteless. The onions were severely undercooked and squishy, the broth had NO flavor. It had the usual cheese and bread but so disappointing. My friend got the meatball appetizer. They were fairly large and smothered in cheese. Sadly, the meatballs were not really flavorful but, the sauce was really good. I got the Cat Meow club. A turkey club on marbled rye. It was a pretty decent sandwich except for the cheese. They used shredded cheese. A very odd choice. They have Cooper Sharp in this state and that would have elevated the sandwich to awesome level. It was like the rest, kind of meh. I would love to give the menu another chance as there are quite a few choices that sound really tasty. I am always up for second chances! Seriously though, LEAH ROCKS!!

Wow, what an amazing run business. From the time you enter with the chatter of a full restaurant on a Thursday evening. The energy is incredible! What a menu and the choice of adult beverages was amazing. The food choices blowes you away with something for everyone. The owner walks through and greets everyone and is pleasantly approachable. We will continue to patronize this well run establishment!

The food was great. We considered booking here for our rehearsal dinner. We ended up not reserving with them due to the amount of people we were planning to have didn't work with their space options. The service was wonderful-- very kind people.

The food was great. The service could have been better. It can get a little noisy, but not unbearable.

My chocolate chip pancakes were supposed to come with peanut butter and whipped cream but did not. The peanut butter is what got my curiosity so I was disappointed. My wife's meal was supposed to come with a free donut that we did not get. I was disappointed with the use of single use syrup, butter and cream packages. Those single use containers aren't recyclable and not biodegradable. I was surprised that this business isn't concerned about the environment.

The iced tea was good, I've had better and far worse. The spouse went with George's panini, and I had chicken and waffle. The panini was large with a chunk of dry chicken breast. It was close to her feeding time so no photos. My chicken and waffle... I was expecting a deep fried breast, but instead had lumpy semi warm yellow gravy with chunks of various sized rather dry breast tossed stirred in , read leftovers . Eatable but weird, something my mother would make( not a compliment my mother couldn't cook in any stretch). Both were so so diner fare. Both came with a side and we opted for the chicken corn soup. Again so so , no match for the sister in laws by any means. Servers were working hard and keeping everything clean and drinks topped up, checking diners out. Really performing well . We will revisit but stick with the breakfast, others who visited stated it was great. Watch the exit, very steep ramp ! $39.34 plus tip.

Thankfully Mad Chef was open later than most places so we got in before the kitchen closed. I enjoyed the low lighting with the brewery equipment shining in the background. Having the Phillies game on the tv's only added to our experience. Our drinks and food were excellent. I always like to enjoy a local craft beer, having it paired on site with fabulous eats is even better. I ordered Mr Dynamite Brown, their American brown ale which was fabulous. We ordered a small Pommes Frites (French fries) that were cooked in Canola oil. While light in color, these fries were cooked to perfection. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, salted just right. My wife ordered the pretzel and said it was her type, buttery, salty, and doughy. I ordered the Korean Pork Nachos, by far the best nachos I've ever had the pleasure to devour. I can't begin to describe how well the roasted corn poblano medley brought this plate together. Every bite had an explosion of flavor with the Korean glaze and Gochujang aioli. This dish blows Guy Fieri's trash can Brisket nachos out of the water. If ever in Lancaster don't pass up on the Mad Chef Craft Brewing gem.

This was a delicious sandwich that just screams Georgia! We also tried the Madfather Chicken Sandwich! Pesto, Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, this thing was outstanding! The fries are always a highlight here! We got the bucket (had a bigger group) and it came with 3 sauces. 1 tiny little knock on the fry bucket....the entire bucket was not filled with fries. The bottom of the fry bucket had about an inch or 2 of crinkled up paper..... All of the food was outstanding. The beer was good. Tons of space and seating. Very easy ordering process. Go up to the counter, tell them your table number, and your food arrives shortly! Prices are high here! Expect a larger number on your check if consuming both food and alcohol!
