Let me start by saying that the service was excellent! Something that is always appreciated…read more The food was good, but it unfortunately wasn't to our taste. My husband is from India (Gujarat) so we eat authentic Indian food on a regular basis and we found the food here to be a different flavor than what we're used to, probably because it's more Pakistani than Indian in terms of flavor. Both of the curries we had were more sweet than what we're used to, but they weren't bad. Just didn't satisfy our cravings! My husband ordered the Paani Puri as it's his all-time favorite dish and they prepared it here much differently than what he's used to. He really wasn't a fan. Their Masala Fries (an appetizer), however, were absolutely incredible! I haven't had fries like this before and the crunch fries paired with the assorted sauce combination was so delicious. If you're looking for Indian food and are searching for a specific flavor palette, I might recommend trying elsewhere because your tastebuds might not be fully satisfied here. Otherwise, give this place a try as they have a variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options to choose from!

The samosas were delicious! My fiancé and I both loved our dishes. I ate most of the naan because he's not a cilantro guy. Honestly cool with that--I loved the naan. The ambiance was cool inside, cozy and I bet families come all the time and make core memories here. 10/10. We both got medium spicy and my nose was running but it was worth it. I got the qeema aloo muttor and my partner got the spinach with chicken curry and we both loved our dishes. Next time I'll try the muttor rice and try another dish.

My upstairs neighbors were cooking Indian and I just had to venture out to find some good eats. I…read morewas salivating. First things first, I check Yelp and find this place that Farrah reviewed. Actually, 2 reviewers including Farrah and both were 5 stars. Now, I usually don't venture outside the 5 mile perimeter which surrounds my house (also known as the Green Zone). This is the reason I send %20 of my paycheck to Lupe Tortilla and some other Mexican restaurants in the 249 area close to Tomball. But this is also the reason that I haven't eaten *any* Indian since I moved to Houston almost 1 year ago! So I make the 20 minute drive and find Lazeeza hidden in the back of a strip mall. My senses are greeted with familiar smells which I adore. A buffet is crackin' on a Sunday. That's a new one for me. (Usually Indian restaurants only serve buffets M-F to make more money on the weekends when more people dine out). I'm leaning towards ordering the Chicken Tikka anyways, but the owner (or apparently owner) of the establishment personally walks me to the buffet bar and explains to me each dish, including a Chicken Tikka (baked, not boiled, but OK - I'm the only westerner looking guy there) and that I should get the buffet. I debate it in my head and agree. I grab my plate and pike on the recommendation which were made to me moments earlier. As I thought, and this is my experience as a whole, I only went back for the baked chicken tikka for seconds. The food was light, and I'm at home now with a full stomach and I don't feel repulsed by what I just ate (which sometimes is the case when Indian food is too oily). Pros - + Plenty of vegetarian dishes + Weekend buffet is a bargain at $9.27 (tax incl'd) + Catered to my request for fresh garlic on the side (my wife was not with me) + Friendly staff, atmosphere. Family run business and it feels like a home Cons - - No alcohol. A spicy chicken tikka begs to be washed down with a cold, Indian beer. - No garlic nan. (in the buffet). I asked to order it on the side, and was politely told they don't have any. But what I really understood was that they didn't want to make any. Meh. In closing - food was delicious, light and I'll definitely go back. The distance from my house and lack of beer was the only thing that kept the illustrious 5 star rating at bay.

When going to the counter to place my order, the owner was rude and just short with his words in explaining the combinations so I was thinking it could be a language barrier. I heard him speaking fluent in English after I order so I knew it wasn't that. As I waited for my food, I notice his attitude change when people of his race came in. My order came up and took my food home. When I got home...I notice that the chicken smell sour and had a tainted taste to it. I had to throw the whole thing in the trash and make me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I will never patronize this business again!

Popular food truck located in a car wash lot along Louetta, between TCJester and Steuben Airline…read more Parking is very tight as one of the two entrances/exits is coned off - makes entry/exit quite difficult during popular times. Serves Punjabi-style vegetarian/vegan fare; includes Indo-Chinese staples (Goni Manchurian, Hakka Noodles, Fried Rice, etc.), chaats, and South Indian dosas/uttapams (from experience, always wary of North Indian restaurants attempting to mimic South Indian fare). Picked up dinner last night- great service! Ordered Gobi Manchurian, Szechuan Hakka Noodles, Paneer Methi Malai, Chaap Curry, Jeera Rice, and Masala Soda. Food was good (Punjabi, which we love), but not spectacular - quite oily as the photos show, and Methi Malai, though tasty, was a bit too sweet. And, quite pricey! $13-15+ for relatively small quantities served. Probably spent close to $100 for the above, including tips and taxes! All in all, been wanting to visit since the establishment started - quite popular, especially nights and weekends - so be prepared to wait 20-25 mins as food is cooked freshly. Good people, give them a try.
