Very good barbecue. The prices are right also. The people who work here are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their barbecue.

A small town TX BBQ that can hold it's own! Passing through town for a late lunch / early dinner…read more We were greeted as the door opened! We had brisket plates. Fried okra and mac&cheese on one. The classic potato salad and hot pinto beans on the other. Brisket was tender and flavorful. Not dry. A good 8-8.5 points on the 10 point scale! The beans were a 8.5-9! Flavor, spice, texture were quite good. One would be surprised as how some place mess up beans. Potato salad was as good as any and exactly what one should expect. Fried okra was made to order! No soft heat lamp mush here. Flavor wise, it was also as one would expect of traditional fried okra. Mac&cheese was average flavor but good portion. Was ok. Nothing to rave on, yet no complaint. Simple/basis type so a little more pop to the recipe could be a good future tweak. Traditional onions, pickles, & jalapeños can be added to the plate if you like. Also sauce and bread available on the side counter to suit your needs. Overall, a great lil place to stop in! Didn't take a pic before starting to eat but this get the gist.

Came for lunch after a morning of hiking at inks lake. Parking lot (in the back of the building)…read morewas busy so I was surprised to only see a couple of tables occupied. Menu is on the wall and you order and pay at the counter. We got 1lb of ribs which comes with 3-6 depending on their size, 1 side of green beans and 1 side of potato salad, and a sweet tea. Total was about $40 My husband said these were the best ribs he's ever eaten. They had the right amount of smoke, the meat was juicy and fell off the bone. They don't have a lot of seasoning so the smoke and rib flavor really shinned through. The greens beans were the thick kind with onions and butter. Would definitely return.

Seems to be plenty of parking in the back and there is dining inside. I am not sure when they open, but when I got there just a little after 1pm on a Sunday, they had already sold out of the ribs. I ended up getting a pulled pork sandwich with a side of potato salad. Overall, I would say the pork was satisfactory, but I probably wouldn't order it again. The meat was very salty and I almost didn't finish it. There was quite a bit of fat with the meat. Topped with a few pickle chips but overall, pretty dry and again, way too salty. I will likely come back to try some ribs and brisket but I see I need to get there much earlier if I want that. The staff are nice. I was also shocked to see the prices. Someone posted a photo of their menu back in August 2024 (not even a year ago) but already the meat prices have doubled and in some... more than doubled.
