I got there right when it opened and I was the third person in line . The service was a little bit slow, but the staff is really friendly. By the time I left the line was 15 people deep. The brisket and pork ribs were excellent as was the mac & cheese with brisket. The sausage was nothing special. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

I love my bbq. This bbq isn't smoked enough, tasted more like roast beef. They only had one bbq sauce available , and it was sweet (ugh). The Mac and cheese was made with cheap Velveeta cheese, and the beans were flavorless and dry. On the upside, it was filling! Another thing I didn't like was at checkout, where they ask for a tip. Businesses should pay their people a wage, unless the person is a server! Only the servers that wait on tables should get tips! I buy food to go to avoid dining inside and paying tips. I drive around the greater Austin area and outlying cities for work. I try to stop at a few new bbq places each week and this is where I landed today. The bbq was the best I've had so far. Cooked perfectly, tender, and still juicy. The sauce was perfectly tangy and sweet... It's a sauce anyone and everyone can enjoy. Took the Austin Steam Train up to Burnet for a date and we made sure to pop by this place for some incredible BBQ. It is only a short walk from the train station and while it was misting rain and cold, we were warmed up immediately by the friendly service. Seriously, everyone here was so nice! To top it off the food was incredible. The brisket Frito Pie blew me away, I thought it would be fun, but not expect it to be my #1 item for the day. Definitely make sure you try it out! Everything on the plate was good as well. The ribs fell off the bone so easily and the lean and fatty brisket were both cooked to perfection. (1) I'm not a huge bbq fan shocking I know for someone from from texas since birth but I'm more for Mexican BUT this place is really good. I usually get their LEAN chopped beef (with sauce) on a sandwich or most of the time a loaded backed potato with that same LEAN chopped beef. if you don't tell them lean you'll end up with a lot of artery clogging beef fat which I'm not paying for or eating. all their meats are good tho. their Turkey is very moist smoked Turkey breast which is nice. inside or out is nice to sit at. when it's not hot and they aren't letting someone try to sing outside I like to sit out side because despite the traffic noise it's sometimes quieter than the volume inside, it smells the the smoker going not far from you, if we have the dogs with us they can be hanging out under the table getting some bites on the download without worrying out making more work for the minimum wage workers, and there is often a nice breeze. the service is hit or miss but they are efficient and get the job done, the tea is perfect, and the place is stocked and cleaned so that works for me in this kind of place. read more

We found this place to have brisket as good as we have ever had and we have tried all the big name bbq places around the Austin area. My husband and I were taking a day trip to see Inks Lake/Buchanan Dam. Decided to grab a bite of lunch in Burnet. It was a cold, dreary day so no picnicking. We just 'happened' on The Warehouse BBQ and decided to try it. Obviously it has not been open that long but it was a going concern. Even only being open on a limited basis. I was hoping for a baked potato (dietary restrictions health-wise) and was immediately told they did not have them but would tomorrow. So I was going to let my husband eat and just wait. My husband ordered a chopped beef sandwich which came with beans, pickles/onions and coleslaw. They ask me wouldn't I like to try the beans. Homemade! So I did and added a side of potato salad. Everything we had was delicious. I'm pretty picky about beans but these were some of the best I've had. My husband was really pleased with his bbq. The very fact that I added this place to Yelp should be all you need to know. The other thing you need to know is they only serve beef. No chicken. No turkey. (Kinda used to Houston BBQ) If you get a chance go out back and see their pit. You may get lucky and meet the pitmaster. Very impressive. My friend and I ate at the Warehouse on Saturday for lunch. Wow! We each got a sliced brisket plate with Cole slaw and beans. We also got bbq sauce, sliced bread, onions and pickles. Everything was delicious. The brisket was moist, tender and full of flavor. The sides were also great, especially the Cole slaw. The staff was friendly.
