Such a beautiful restaurant! Love the decor and aesthetics to this place. We got seated right away for brunch with a reservation. The server was very friendly and attentive. I ordered a hot vanilla latte and dutch baby with berries. My friend ordered the braised pork hash. We also ordered a side of focaccia bread as appetizer. Everything was delicious! The dutch baby wasn't too sweet but went perfect with the fresh berries. The pork hash was amazing! Meat was very tender and flavored well with potatoes and sunny side up eggs. Highly recommend this dish! The focaccia bread was kind of dry, tasted old. The pesto that came with it made it better. We got seated at the bar as a walk in after a 10 minute wait. The bartenders were really nice, and the holiday decorations made me feel warm and cozy. I liked the hot cider I got. It stayed warm throughout my meal. The food was just okay though. The Caesar salad could have used more dressing. The calamari was just fine. I was disappointed the salad on top wasn't pickled to add more flavor. The main bolognese rigatoni tasted bland. Loved our dining experience here at Fire & the Feast. We came here with a group of friends for my birthday dinner in the summer and service and accommodation for a larger group was super nice! All the dishes that we tried was so good! I loved all the pizzas and pasta dishes. The carbonara and penne bolognese was deeeelish! Also, I absolutely love their plates hahaha I think food presentation matters and it definitely elevates it! The cocktails are really good as well! Had the worst service at our recent visit to Fire and the Feast. It's a restaurant we'd been to in the past and been happy about, but not this time. We had a reservation, were seated, and then promptly forgotten about. I made eyes at a waitress walking by a time or two, tried to flag her down, but we sat around for a good 30 minutes waiting for a waiter before someone from our party of 5 finally stood up and went to the hostess table to get some service. Finally, a waitress came and took our order - food, drink, obviously we knew what we wanted. She barely apologized and blamed the hostess for "not telling her" we had been seated. Finally, the food comes out after a pretty long delay - a delay that was apparently caused by the kids pizza taking some time to fire. Because of this all the adults food was cold, and the kids pizza (the one that probably could have been brought out cold) was too hot for our 2 year old son to eat. We were given no real apology, no effort to heat our food up, nada, a check, and said our goodbyes. It was so bad, it makes me hesitant to return. Which is a shame because it's been a good, staple restaurant for us up to this point. I should add: it wasn't busy. There was literally no reason for service to be so abysmal. read more

Recently went to Fire & the Feast again for another brunch experience, this time with a party of 6 on a Sunday and we had little-to-no trouble finding a seat at around 12:30/1:00 pm. The food we ordered was a Berry Dutch Baby, Green Eggs & Ham Omelette, Salsiccia Omelette, and the Smoked Pork Shoulder Hash. The food across the board was good, again, as always, though the Salsiccia Omelette left me longing for more of a punch in flavor or spice. Between the peppers and the sausage, I was just expecting bolder flavors. It was a relatively "soft" flavor provide across the omelette and that could be used to describe more of the dishes that we tried. There's very much a "home-y"/comfort-food like quality with the brunch items, which they're very filling, good in flavor, and consistent, but I've been left wanting slightly bolder flavors via spices and/or spice level to elevator the food. That being said, the food is good, the atmosphere is great, and the service is always wonderful. We started with Italian Black Coffee which was strong and flavorful. It's a bottomless cup with unlimited hot refills! We ordered their House Focaccia which came with Aged balsamic and a Herbs and Shallots butter. The bread was soft and airy! Just perfect! The Eggs in Purgatory are 3 eggs baked in a spicy marinara sauce. This was delightful as we usually don't find spicy marinara sauces. This comes with 4 focaccia slices and we took a large portion of it home. Not surprisingly, the sauce tasted even better by the end of the day! The other entree was Biscuits and Gravy pizza. This is for Egg lovers only (like me!) . It is a beautiful pizza crust which is light and fluffy which is covered in 3 eggs sunny side up and a generous white sausage gravy with smoked mozzarella. The smoky flavor is quite strong. This is a difficult dish to eat as it gets soggy but has an amazing taste! We know they have Tiramisu so though it was not on the brunch menu, we ordered it for take out for our dinner. The server was very friendly and even packed our leftovers. We even got a delicious in house cake (on the house) as part of their anniversary. It was a beautiful, delicious chocolate cake. Looking forward to coming again for dinner sometime! There's really nice outdoor seating here with private booths and outdoor heaters in the heart of downtown Edmonds. There is only street parking but it's typically pretty easy to find something within a couple blocks. The food is definitely good but I wouldn't say there was anything special or unique about it. We got in quickly at around 4:30 so the place was at about 60% capacity; it still took more than 30 minutes to get our drinks. I ordered the Chicken Mushroom Marsala. It was a mound of steamed kale with a slab of chicken on top. The sauce had no taste. It was water with a slightly brown tinge; no taste of Marsala. When I remembered it was a "mushroom Marsala ", I had to look for the mushrooms. I found a few micro-thin slices of very small mushrooms. Perhaps they were very low on their "locally foraged" mushrooms. I can't believe this is how they normally plate this dish. To be fair, my wife did enjoy her dish. We picked up the happy hour charcuterie, which I think is probably a little different than the normal charcuterie, but this one is also a fraction of the price at $12 vs $25. Another belated review, this time from last September (9/23/23). My BFF and I were long overdue for a gab session and so she & I agreed to meet at 4pm at Daphnes Bar across the roundabout for a drink (that's a different review) and then decide on where to go have an early dinner before she had to make the ferry over to Whidbey Island to her then-boyfriend's place. We settled on Fire & the Feast because she remembered loving the pizza there which we both were in the mood for. We arrived during HH and ordered a glass each of the campo viejo sparkling rose cava on the menu ($9). As we perused the pizza menu to share, the pepperoni pizza caught our eye but it was fancified "Pepperoni & Calabrian Honey Pizza: pepperoni, mozzarella, san marzano tomato, calabrian chili honey, garlic confit, red onion"; $21 (I believe this was HH pricing.). Now one thing you should know is that my BFF is the opposite of fancified. I love her to death but my extremely picky 14yo is a more adventurous diner then BFF. But having previously had the Bee Sting pizza at Roberta's in Brooklyn made me excited for that pepperoni/hot honey combo! So we asked our waiter to do a half-half combo, 1/2 as listed on the menu and the other 1/2 middle school style, just tomato sauce/cheese/pepperoni. With this, we got the Caesar Salad to split (HH pricing; $10) There was a mix-up in the kitchen and the pizza came out with her half still drizzled with honey but missing one of the 3 ingredients she actually wanted. They were going to replace it but I didn't want to waste the pizza so they made it right by bringing a whole other pizza for her exactly as she had requested on the house. So all was well! Brunch was stellar. I know this spot had mixed reviews for their pizzas and lunch/dinner but there is nothing wrong with their brunch! We had a perfect outside patio table at 1030am on a Saturday with room for the toddler to color and also food that he could eat! We shared the crab benedict and the seafood strata and the kiddo had the manggia plate. All parties were pleased here! Strong menu options and tasty coffee for an earlier than I'm used to brunch made for a wonderful morning/midday meal outside. The service here was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed the time here. I will be back for certain. They also have a small parking lot of their own if you can't find parking on the street. The restroom is a little inconvenient to get to when eating out on the patio but not enough to be a deterrent. Kids meal was a value for money having bacon , eggs , pancake for just 11$. It's a little pricy one but taste and service justify the cost. You should definitely try their latte ( mild sweet ) and flavorful. They have outdoor seating with a heater so it's warm even if you decide to eat outdoors. Defiantly recommended to visit this place. Amazing food and service in a cozy setting in Downtown Edmonds. Enjoyed several happy hour apps which all excellent. The Frito Misto de Calamari was amazing. The artichoke provided such a good compliment to the calamari and was served with a delectable sauce. The Ciambotta Involtini was very fresh and flavorful. It featured thick zucchini slices wrapped in thinly sliced eggplant baked in a dish with caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, and one of the best marinaras I've had in the area. The melted fresh mozzarella on top was divine! The Black Truffle Potatoes were crispy and delicious alone but also we could have drank the herb aioli that came with them straight from the sauce cup! The Caesar Salad had a very solid dressing and crisp, fresh lettuce, but it did come with A LOT of capers (not my favorite so putting that out there as a warning for those who feel the same). The Plant-Based (Vegan) Artichoke Caramelized Onion Pizza was dynamite! It had such a unique blend of flavors with the most unique being the apricot. Great fancy food in a very nice but informal setting. Pretty much my favorite way to eat. They've taken over a spot that has been a few different restaurants over the last 15-20 years, but they're anchored to it with experienced owners (who have another high-end spot nearby). They've turned the place out beautifully, and the menu gets you going before you even set foot in the place. It surely did used to be a lot tougher to find interesting places to eat in Edmonds. Now there are enough choices that you could eat out every night for a couple weeks and not come close to trying everything. It's on the slope of Main St just above the water-well roundabout, which means it's essentially Ground Zero of the Edmonds Bowl. Nice fresh paint on the bricks and the wood, still with the big wall of windows on the front side. Last night, during the Taste of Edmonds (when you need Lotto-ticket money to find parking down here), the windows were folded all the way back, and the whole dining room was flowing with breezes. The kids working here are super friendly and nice, right on point with table status, seating, table visits, and service throughout the meal. The dining room looks a fair bit nicer than it used to--high-backed booths, long leather banquettes along the walls, tasteful dark paint, lots of potted plants. They could do with more acoustic baffling on the high ceilings, but that's always addable later. The wine list is solid--like the menu says about the place's theme, it's a mix of Italian and PNW offerings. Plenty of good choices, nothing too outrageously expensive. We found a rose of sangiovese that went well with everything on a warm summer evening. The menu breaks up into small groups of starters, salads, mid-size plates, pizzas, entrees, and dessert. It's definitely the kind of place where most people order an entree, but our group went for 5 apps and 2 entrees for 3. Turned out to be the right amount of food, even with one very light eater at the table. Arancini (special) These were small, maybe about an ounce scoop. Brussels-sprout-sized. I kinda prefer golf-ball-sized arancini for more chew, but these were absolutely excellent. Crisp on the outside, nice grated cheese over the top, good tangy yellow sauce underneath. Roman meatballs I'm glad these are already on the menu. We gotta get these every time. Bed of polenta in a little hot iron tray, with tangy red meat sauce over the tops of 3 golf-ball-sized meatballs. Deep herbaceous flavors, nice tender consistency, and perfect polenta. If you come with a bunch of hungry dudes, order one each for everyone. They go quickly. Caesar Good stuff. Lots of shaved parm, great seasonings. No anchovies, light on the dressing, but still the caesar you want. Buratta caprese Probably best ordered when tomatoes are in season, like most capreses. About one tomato, about one ball of buratta. Best of all, it comes with sweet red peppers sliced in. Awesome flavor combination with the basil. At $20, this dish has a questionable food-cost-to-menu-price ratio, but it's so, so good. Worth it when the tomatoes are at their peak. Even if you can make it home, very quickly, for a fraction of the price. Roast cauliflower Likely steamed and then roasted. Very tender but still a proper bit of cruciferous crunch. Mildly-sweet sultana and other flavors accenting most bites. Really good, and an easy side to add, but probably not the most distinctively creative or "ItaliaNW" thing on their menu. I'd happily order it again, but when I crave this place in the future, I'll crave herbs and noodles more than steamed veg. Summer salad This is an entree salad, with tons of interesting flavors added to a bed of bitter greens and a nice seasoning sauce underneath. Cacio e pepe This is bucatini with smoked salmon and, naturally, cheese and black pepper sauce. By the time our entrees arrived, we had been waiting for a while. The apps fired out in minutes, but this place was wall to wall, every table for 4 hours, thanks to the Taste just up the street. The kitchen eventually started losing ground, and this plate showed up after an unexpected 30-minute wait. It was still worth it! We were scraping out the serving bowl to get the last of the sauce. Definitely in our permanent rotation of beloved entrees. Out the door, with 7 dishes and a nicer bottle of wine, was $181. Such great value for this kind of cooking these days. I can't wait to come back. Maybe when it's not quite so slammed. Walking back to the truck, every place was bustling, with people eating and drinking at sidewalk tables. The Bowl used to roll up the sidewalks at night, even in summer. Now it's actually fun, though the crowd still skews older than most spots. Highly recommended. read more

Staff were very nice I even ask them for Riesling even they didn't have by glass in their menu but they brought me a glass without any hesitation which made my experience really great. They were very fast, clean and organized and I believe costumer satisfaction is their priority because they could clearly tell me they don't have Riesling but they didn't. Ordered: Caprese Benedict Breakfast sandwich Right off the bat, they make their own focaccia and then these geniuses use that pillowy soft deliciousness on the Benny. The hollandaise has fresh pesto mixed in.... Another genius and unique addition. The tomatoes were juicy and tangy. The addition of fresh basil and fresh mozzarella under a perfectly poached egg made this Benny heavenly. I haven't even mentioned the potatoes yet i can confidently say they are the best breakfast potatoes of all time. They are basically cheesy mashed potatoes that are formed the night before and frozen in a cute little brick, then fried to order. Crispy. Creamy. Salty. Uggggg so cravable. My hubs said his breakfast sandwich was a total hit too. He would have ordered a 2nd if I didn't share so much of my meal with him. We ordered the garlic bread and a side of burrata to start. Both were amazing, though next time if we want the burrata, we will go with the focaccia instead. The burrata was super rich and creamy and the garlic bread crunchy and soft on the inside. So good. For our mains he ordered the Bolognaise with meatballs and it was so delicious. So many flavors blending together! The only downside were the noodles. Not that they were bad, just a little too sloopy for us. I ordered the Carbonara, pictured, with chicken and it was an absolute delight. The noodles were firm and captured the sauce perfectly. There is a bit of heat to this dish, so keep that in mind. One of the best in Edmonds. I have tried the new restaurants, but I always come back here. Tonight I had duck confit carbonara. Absolute perfection. They always do carbonara right (no cream, just silky cheesy goodness), and with the addition of generous hunks of tender duck confit it is just perfect. Dessert was pear almond tart; delicious and warm and fruity, with a nice contrast in texture with the almonds. I always feel welcome here as a solo diner; service is always attentive, courteous, and helpful with good suggestions. I never feel forgotten, as I have at a few other restaurants in town. Pro tip for other restaurants: if solo diners feel welcome, we are very likely to bring friends/family here, and recommend your restaurant to others. One of the best Italian restaurants in Edmonds! My boyfriend, who has Celiac disease, and I come here pretty frequently since we found out they have gluten-free pasta and pizzas. Our favorites are the bolognese rigatoni and the pepperoni & Calabrian honey pizza. The cocktails are amazing as well; I tried the peach martini with elderflower and lemon, and it was the perfect combination of sweet and sour in a refreshing drink. The service is always great too. Delicious take out option. Were are visiting from the East side (of WA) and wanted to get local food near our rental. This was the closest that sounded good - it turned out to be a great choice! We got the margarita pizza, meatballs, focaccia, & carrots. I am sensitive to spice and the meatballs had chili flakes that were a tad spicy for me but they were delicious. The focaccia came with a pesto oil & parm. Everything was packed well. The service at pick up was also great. They noted their appreciation that we waited to grab our bag rather than grabbing the bag and going; seems like it has been an issue for them. read more
