First time I went it was fantastic. Great tasting (though they tee out if almost everything) and lots of food. Do the price was acceptable. Went Friday morning and dry, mostly fat brisket, the mild sausage was not mild. The plate was a third of what the first time. But the price was the same. I usually can have left overs from any BBQ place. Not here. $1.OO for tap water. The receipt says "TAP WATER". Really???? Charging a dollar plus tax for tap water???? Waste of money. read more

Excellent BBQ, restaurant was clean and menu is reasonably priced. Had the brisket and pulled pork. Owner stopped by a few times to check in; very friendly. The service was great, and it is probably the only reason I am giving them 3 stars. The food was ok. I got 3 meat ribs, brisket and sausage with mac and cheese and beans. I also got an order of peach cobbler. The total was $40. This would be justified if I had more than 1 rib. The rib and brisket were average. The same with the sides and dessert. I'm a Q girl, and I've been to Corkscrew, Tejas &Truth multiple times! Was over in the Kingwood area Saturday and found Fire Craft via Yelp. Thank you, Yelp, and oh my goodness!! There were three of us so we ordered the sampler platter with brisket, pulled pork, sausage & ribs. It comes with three sides, but we threw in a couple of extra and buttermilk pie. The brisket and pulled pork were melt in your mouth tender, sausage had a snap to it, and the ribs were heavenly. While I love BBQ, sides are important, and they did not disappoint. We had potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, Mac & cheese, and watermelon salad. The owner came round and mentioned there were days when he made collard greens & squash casserole. I also saw Brussels sprouts, but my friend with me is a bit picky. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be the watermelon salad! So good! I'm watching their FB page to return for more BBQ, collard greens & squash casserole. Trust me! I've had the bad along with the good. You will not be disappointed!! Oh, yes, the buttermilk pie is dressed with strawberries & whipped cream, and we shared. After a decade in Texas finally some BBQ worthy of writing home about!! So far we've been able to try the brisket, the turkey, and the ribs. All equally as delicious as the last but the brisket is a true stand out. Melt in your mouth and so juicy it just falls apart. The rub they use caramelizes and becomes a perfect crust and doesn't overpower the meat but compliments it perfectly. The staff is super knowledgeable and so so friendly. They treat each person who comes in like long lost friends who've come to dinner. This is definitely a place we will frequent and we will definitely be telling everyone about this amazing food. Hands down best BBQ we've ever had. And we've had a bunch from some notable BBQ joints across the south and now each new one we go to will be compared to this, our new gold standard! Food was alright but not worth the price. Service was not good. The lady taking my order made a rude comment as she couldn't see that I put a drink on the counter and had to complete two transactions. Her comment was "next time make sure you hold your drink up so I can clearly see it." The cook was rude to the women taking orders because they were not made aware that a couple of the items on the menu were no longer available. The place was nice but small and limited seating. However, the restaurant has great potential but I will not be going back. Unless you are up for paying +30 dollars per person for mediocre barbecue take your business elsewhere. read more

Brisket experts!! Brought my 14 yr old son to the soft opening. He had the 2 meat plate and I had a sliced beef sandwich. It was as good or better than any bbq I've had in Houston. Sides were all top notch. We tried cornbread, green beans, Mac, and Cobbler. Smoked turkey was the best I've ever tasted. They threw us a rib to sample and it was delicious too! Sadly, they were out of ribs and brisket when I got there, but the chicken was outstanding. Really nice smoke flavor but not overdone. RUN, DON'T WALK! Me, my wife and a friend just left FIRE CRAFT after having lunch. I can't say enough good things about it. We shared a sampler plate. 4 meats and 3 sides. We had prime brisket, moist end. The meat may be the tenderest I've had. The fat was like buttah and it wasn't smoked so heavily that the smoke is all you can taste. Pulled pork is tender and juicy. Ribs don't fall apart like some. They are firm but so tender it's like biting through a nice chop. Sausage is Slovaceks so you know it's good. The most surprising are the sides. They were ALL good. A lot of bbq houses tout thier sides and they have some good ones but I have never been to a place where I liked them all. We had spoon bread, my favorite, collards were a little smokey and had a good chew but not tough, gouda mac very creamy. Then we ordered 3 extra sides. Cole slaw is crunchy and fresh. BBQ beans were my wife's fave. And squash casserole. Finally desert. If you are too full to the point where dessert doesn't even sound good, get something anyway and take it home. We had the banana pudding. I'm not sure if the custard is scratch, but it sure tastes like it. It has Biscoff cookies, fresh whipped cream and Bananas Foster topping. Don't talk yourself out of it. Just get it. For quality, Fire Craft is the best BBQ within many miles of Kingwood/Humble. Chef David Welch is right there with the other Famous BBQ names. read more
