We were just passing through and found it on Yelp. It is on the backside of a strip center but easy to get to. Our server was great! The pizza is a wood fired thin crust with lots of toppings. You have to be bat-crap crazy if you think this place is comparable to 575 Pizzeria. Yes, offense. For months, I've heard about Fire Slice. Its supposed to be cheaper and "just as good" as 575 Pizzeria. Well, one particular night after a long day of work I just felt like not cooking and picking up a pizza and some of those sweet-potato fries! I called in my order and they told me it would take about 15 minutes. The location of this restaurant is terrible. Look for a shopping plaza and then go BEHIND it and you'll find a hole in the wall entrance for FireSlice. The parking lot is essentially the alleyway behind this building. I ordered "The Rudy"($13) - a white pizza (no sauce) with shredded mozzarella, smoked bacon, roasted crimini mushrooms and spinach. I also ordered an order of the Sweet Potato Fries ($5) which are served with a house-made green chile mayo. The first thing I noticed about the pizza - it's small! Sure, this is a cheaper pizza, but this is ridiculous! It's already a super thin crust and it's stretched out to like, 14 inches. That's it? Also, it was HARD. They overcooked the pizza and it was burnt and blackened on the bottom. This made for a bitter and rock hard crust. Ew. The toppings were also scorched. The spinach was dried out and the cheese tasted smokey. Just a terrible pizza all around. The sweet potato fries were the redeeming factor of the meal. They were super crispy and not overly seasoned. My husband and I drive through Amarillo from OKC to get to our property in NM. We stop in Amarillo overnight to break up the drive. We stopped here on a whim to try something new. What an excellent choice. We ordered some of our favorite beers, calamari, and a small honeybomb pizza to share. The combination of flavors was superb. When first coming across this restaurant it looked very good and promising. Service was good nothing bad to say about that. My wife and I were surprised they had wings for a appetizer so we ordered the 4 count boneless wings. The first 2 wings we had weren't bad at all very good to be honest, then I took a bite of the 3rd one and seen it was raw all in the middle!! When I came across that raw chicken I lost all hope for this restaurant, I've been to some bad places but I've never received raw chicken. Once we were done eating they gave us a refund on the wings since they were raw. The pizza really does look great , the problem was that picking up a slice made everything slide right off the crust. A little hard to eat but over all the pizza wasn't that bad. The calzone wasn't the best either it didn't look to appetizing but that could've just been me. So overall review I would not recommend this to anyone unless you want to try a place that really is a hit or miss establishment. read more

My boyfriend and I have been here numerous times & it's a hidden gem. Just letting you know it's a little difficult to find as it is in the back of the building (Follow Chop Chop drive thru) When you enter the business the bar that seats about 5 is on your left the waiting area is to your immediate right and they have a party room to the right of that too. The hostess stand is in that area. They have a large dinning area as it is split into different area. I would say every table has their own privacy, which helps with hearing other conversations. All of the waitress are friendly and very attentive, shout out to Jamie & Becky. My boyfriend and I have found our favorite pizza "The Rudy" and finally tried the S'mores Calzone. We have tried a few other pizzas, the ravioli, and Caprese salad. They also have gluten free options available. I have not tried the take out. This is a hidden gem! We had a little trouble locating the place as it is on the back side of the shopping center. We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday and each ordered the lunch combo. I had the house salad and the wife had the ceasar both were good. After what seemed like a long time our waiter showed up apologizing and explained the kitchen accidentally overcooked the first set of pizzas and they were remaking them. I had the Tommy Boy and the wife had the Hot Mama. Both were about 10" in diameter (lunch sized) and really delicious. Because of the delay in remaking the pizza, the waiter provided free dessert. It's a little challenging to get to, especially with the construction on 34. The sign is also hard to see, but after a few mixups we finally found it! (it's tucked behind the main shopping center...) The waiter was super helpful even though they were closing in 30 minutes. They have a great selection of craft brews... Breckinridge, Great Divide, and such. If you stop by during lunch, they have specials - $8.99 personal pizza or calzones. This place seems to having an identity crisis as you walk in... looks super divey on the outside, but decent artsy decor and comfy formalish chairs. It looks very sketchy from the outside but it's actually pretty cute on the inside. That said, for us it was really just "ok". We ordered an 18" pizza for two adults and two teenage boys. Although it looks like a big pizza, it's really not very filling. All four of us were still hungry after the pizza. The crust is pretty thin and very crisp with no grease at all (which actually detracts from the flavor, you gotta have a little grease for flavor though you don't want the pizza dripping with it). Strangely enough even though they advertise as "brick oven pizza" they don't have a brick oven - they have what appears to be a standard metal pizza oven that's in clear view. Hmm... unless it's brick on the inside? A little odd. They also advertise their meatballs and sausage We ordered both of these on our pizza. There were a few extremely thin strips of meat, honestly couldn't tell which was sausage and which was meatball as there were so few and they were cut so thin. Although I was reassured by our server that they had black olives in addition to kalamata...what came out on my pizza were kalamata (which I would not have ordered, hence why I tried to clarify). I will give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she just didn't realize that though kalamata olives are kind of dark in color they have a very different flavor than standard pizza black olives. So as you can tell, I wasn't really enthralled with the pizza. I did like the three cheese blend on it and the sauce was ok. The price was not bad at all - $26 for our 18 inch with three toppings - but would have been better if the toppings had been more generous and if we weren't still hungry -- we ended up picking up tacos across the street on our way back to our hotel. But, they get credit for not having a generic Sysco taste even though they were way too skimpy with ingredients. We were just passing through town so can't speak as to whether the oft-compared 575 is better or worse, but to us, this pizza was just ok and not really a destination next time we pass through. read more

I've been avoiding Pizza for a long time because of the calories and that it's not as nutritious as other foods but I saw they had a daily special for $7 and half price desserts on Tuesdays so I decided to try it. I've been twice now and haven't been disappointed. The girl that took my order is super nice. As of today, 7 / 18 / 20, they aren't offering indoor dining yet because of the virus but it's worth it to come in and get the take out. I just drove over to a local park and sat and ate half my pizza while I enjoyed the pleasant weather. It wasn't that hot that particular day. If you don't order ahead the pizza will take 15 or 20 minutes but I wasn't in a hurry so I didn't mind. They seem to have a lot of people that do call ahead because several people came in and picked up their Pizzas while I was waiting. I happened to come in during their closed period the second time. I forgot they close at 2 and reopen at 5 so I did some grocery shopping at Natural Grocers while I waited for 5 to roll around. Now that I've been a couple times on Tuesday so I'll have to come in on another day of the week so I can try some other varieties of pizza. The service is slow if there is more than a few tables that are busy. Everytime my server has always been nice and always gives the first ranch free, but normally it's extra and I think that's a travesty! The pizza is good, but not the best and not something I'd rave over. Even after I had my first few sub-par experiences, I kept going back because I really wanted to like it. But I am now coming to terms with myself, that it's a but pricey, not the absolute best craft pizza I've had, nor is it the best service. Though, they do deliver and my lazy self has to give them bonus points for that so overall a 3.5 star rating but I'm keeping it as 3 stars since that was my gut-feeling. read more

Giving this place 4 stars. My Cesar salad had little to none parmesan. I'm used to a cesar salad having great croutons and plenty of parmesan. Dressing was very good though. Pizza crust is best I've had, but toppings for margarita pizza could be better. Also ordered a greek salad and per my wife, best greek salad and pizza she has had.
