Garlic and thyme infused ribeye, topped with fried onion strings. Accompanied with great house fries and peppercorn sauce.

I thought it would be a cool place from the exterior, and was really impressed by the decor, design and modern influences of the interior. We should have made reservations in advance, but it was our first night in Dublin. We lucked out and got a table for four. Nice selection of items on the menu yet not overwhelming. Had something for everyone. Wine list had most of the bases covered. My wife had the pan roasted chicken and the rest of us went for steaks. I confess we didn't do the dry aged version. One of our group had the filet and raved about it. Yet she wouldn't share, but that's a different story. Two of us had the garlic and thyme infused ribeye. Cooked to our liking and delicious. For dessert we all shared the apple tartlet, and a port. A great dinner and a perfect way to kickoff our vacation.

Beautiful restaurant with stellar service and excellent food. We came for dinner on a Thursday with a reservation we made the day before. We ordered the 3 course early bird special, which is a great deal considering the fantastic quality of the food. Service: Our waiters were attentive and nice, and they gave us some good recommendations from the menu. Food: We ordered the chicken caesar salad, Connemara rock oysters, prime sirloin center cut, wood-fired tiger prawns, chocolate fromboise, and Irish cheeseboard. All of them were delicious and served fresh, and the portions were big! The oysters were particularly excellent. Drinks: We got the Noperol Spritz and Mango Caipirinha. They were both refreshing and a great complement to the meal. Ambience: The restaurant is in a prime location right beside Grafton street and St. Stephen's Green. It is enormous and spacious, with a beautiful garden and fountain at the front. The inside is very chic and elegant, perfect for a special occasion.

The Scarlet Vetter says.....I was in Dublin for a business conference and our organizers arranged for a dinner for our group at this restaurant. We really enjoyed our night here. We arrived and were placed in a reserved space near the bar where a server took drink orders. After a short bit we were brought to the main dining room to be seated to eat. The restaurant selected menu items from its regular menu to offer to our group (as you will see from the special group print menu they provided to our table.) I selected the lamb kabobs for an appetizer and my husband selected the Buckwheat Salad. Both were delicious. The lamb kabobs were perfectly done and the salad was refreshing and nutty flavored. For dinner, both of us ordered the Sirloin (prime center cut, 35 day aged) Steak, medium rare and medium respectively. The dishes arrived at the perfect temperature and the meat was just melt in your mouth and came dressed with crispy friend onions. Yum! The Sirloin entree was offered with the choice of a delicious and unique side salad of micro cress and baby leaf or Pont Neuf Chips. We chose the salads and were impressed with their texture and flavor. For dessert, I ordered the White Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake and my husband ordered off menu, a selection of ice cream, which then restaurant is apparently known for. The desserts were both refreshing and flavorful. The timing of food delivery was perfect, not rushed at all, but not overly delayed. The atmosphere at the establishment is inviting and chic and the sound absorbtion for a large room was very good. We did not have to shout to be heard at our 8 top table. I would highly recommend a visit to this culinary establishment.

The restaurant is in a historic building near St Stephen's Green. The dining rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The service was excellent. Our meal began with bread and butter, which sounds very usual. But the bread and butter were absolutely delicious. Then the 6 oz filets came, cooked to perfection. No room for desserts (because...the bread and butter) but we sat and digested with absolutely no push to move on. When in Dublin this restaurant provides a memorable experience!

An average steakhouse with good atmosphere and service. The food though was not of the same quality as the leading steakhouses. French onion soup was okay but did not have the caramelized cheese around the edges that you normally get it for. My sirloin steak was what you'd expect at an upscale casual chain, not a premium steakhouse. It was somewhat thin and lacked any particular character. Same could be said for the creamed spinach and cauliflower cheese. The service is what ranted them four stars. Very attentive. They initially brought me the wrong bottle of wine, I didn't notice until after it was open but they were great about replacing it without making me feel stupid. I just wish the food lived up to the service.

A great steak house. Great atmosphere (best to sit in the dining room and not the terrace as the atmosphere is better). Steaks were great: Big selection of steaks, had the prawns as the starter: it is the delicacy and would definitely recommend, then had a ribeye and sirloin, cooked to perfection fries were decent. even the bread is delicious with a bit of a sweet after taste. Very kind and helpful staff. Would recommend if you come to Dublin.

Menu has a good selection of Irish dishes from seafood chowder up to lamb stew and pies. We ordered the potato soup, seafood chowder, 'banjo' burger with onion rings. The soups arrived first and the seafood chowder was loaded with huge pieces of fish, potatoes (not many) with a creamy rich base. Flavor was incredible and in itself a full meal. Served in a large crock style bowl. The potato soup was minus any whole potatoes. It was a rich creamy base with plenty of flavor and very hearty. The burger was really a double cheeseburger with plenty of cheese, grilled onions, what appeared to be a mayonnaise based sauce on a soft hamburger roll. Really tall enough that it was tough getting your mouth around it. Very well seasoned burgers and the onions were a nice touch. The onion rings were huge and had a very light batter on them. They served in a metal bowl to keep them hot. For dessert the apple crumble was ordered which was served in a large dish with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This could have been warmer but still was good.. The 5 star rating is for the chowder as it outshone the rest of the meal although the burger was definitely a close second. Definitely will return to try other dishes when we come back to the city.

Huge shoutout to our server Matt, who took care of us all night. He made the whole experience even better with his warmth and knowledge. If you are visiting Dublin, do not skip The Boxty House. Ask for Matt if you can. Five stars, easily.

Our first meal in Dublin was at The Old Mill Restaurant, right in the heart of Temple Bar. It's been serving traditional Irish fare since the 1980s and has become a favorite stop for both locals and visitors looking for classic comfort food. After about a 20-minute wait, we were seated in the warm, inviting dining room. Susan ordered the mussels, one of her favorites, while I went with the Traditional Irish Stew and my daughter chose the Braised Beef & Guinness Stew. Both were exactly what we hoped for: hearty, flavorful, and perfect after a day of sightseeing. I finally understood why the Guinness stew had such a rich, dark color, and I have to admit, I came home a big fan of Irish stew. We finished with the Homemade Bread & Butter Pudding topped with fresh cream and custard, a comforting dessert that was the perfect ending to the meal. Service, atmosphere, value, and food were all five out of five. We also enjoyed chatting with the floor manager, whose pride in the restaurant and his team was obvious. That kind of hospitality made a great meal even more memorable.

They told us our table was ready at the same time they were seating a walk-in. Our table was next to the window with decent space between tables, I saw the walk-in complain that where he was getting sat was in the middle of the restaurant with no space between the next table. He ended up just taking our table even with the waitress saying it wasn't his. They just shrugged and told us to sit in the middle. The mussels were good, and they had gluten free bread, but there were limited gluten free options, even the Shepards pie wasn't gluten free. I was hoping a mash potato topping would be available, but only the Irish stew. This had lamb, but also chicken, so you had to hunt down the lamb. The beef stew was good, but the overall experience and being squeezed in shoulder to shoulder made me feel like I stumbled into a tourist trap. I wouldn't recommend.
