Great wing spot. We walked in and tons of people. We placed our order almost immediately and waited about 20 minutes for our order of 20 wings, and fries to come out. Food was a bit cold to be honest. But we enjoyed the food. The wings were delicious and fries were good. We decided to order another order of 20 wings this time we tried Buffalo stampede and teriyaki. This time wings came out in 5 minutes and they were definitely warmer. Wings were better. All the flavors were unique and good. My nephew and brothers favorite flavor was the Buffalo stampede and mine was original. The original is not your typical Buffalo original it wasn't spicy at all but they were enjoyable. I recommend this place and I'll definitely be back. read more

- If I ordered food I would have to eat out side (time was 9pm ) - they were only offering wings (it was 9 pm) - if I ordered what ever they were offering it would be a 25min wait because they were backed up and I couldn't drink my drinks inside while I wait . There was a whole hour and a half of business availability and I didn't feel welcome at all how to take my business elsewhere. I really do think about employees and don't show up anything less than 40 minutes of dinning time and this place didn't want anybody coming in after hours, I'm sorry during business hours an hour and a half of open business time . Been to this store couple times and the chicken is good here! Plenty of flavors to choose from. My favorite is the cali rub and peanut butter. Service is quick so it is very easy to grab and go but also a nice place to hang out and watch the games. Beers are served really cold and at a good price point. Came here on a Friday night to watch Laker game. It's a great place to go if you want to catch a sports game and eat some good food! Believe it or not I tried the peanut butter wings and they were really good. If you ever had Thai chicken satay, it's similar to that taste. My favorites are Saigon Street (Vietnamese Nuoc Mam), Garlic Parmesan (My #1 go to), and Salt & Pepper (Another Asian classic). Reasonably prices meals. I always leave feeling stuffed. I always get the bone in wings, which are always freshly crispy and flavorful. When we finally got our food, we were still missing my moms chicken teriyaki bowl. The bowl never arrived. We asked for a refund, cashier had to call the manager and ask for him/her to take care of the refund. They advice we would see the refund in 10-15 minutes and we never did. We are used to the awful service from workers when we dine in and pickup but usually it's the quality of wings we go back for. Decided to try out this new spot in Downey around 2pm. Not much line so it wasn't too crowded, probably since we went early in the day. Tables were clean and great lighting. Not sure why the doors were open since it was pretty cold outside, so we had to sit towards the back of the restaurant. Great prices considering the portions which are pretty big. The Buffalo Fries are solid, the Buffalo sauce was just a bit too strong for me personally , but it wasn't spicy. Now since I'm mentioning the garlic noodles, I will say it was absolutely delicious. I had an amazing experience today at my late lunch early dinner at Firewings Downey. With so many options at the promenade in Downey, you can never go wrong with a restaurant that specializes in chicken; chicken wings, chicken sandwiches, buffalo style and they have a huge variety of beer that the other venues don't have. I was helped by a gentleman that was wearing glasses, and at first I didn't know who this person was because they are wearing casual clothes that do not match any of the uniforms that the staff is wearing. After ordering, the gentleman introduced himself as the manager. The food was very tasty. I got the chicken sandwich with an assortment of sides that the manager recommended, and overall with my experience from him talking to me, introducing me to some of the products, giving me a beer selection that pairs best with the food I ordered was above and beyond to me. Overall, the customer service was on point, I exceptionally liked the manager, how he took out of his time to go over the beer selection, and what he felt that I would like based off of the small conversation we had. The food quality the taste the portion everything was perfect.. The store itself was super clean. Every single window didn't have a streak on it. I usually love the Brea fire wings because of the garlic fries. However at this location the fries were soggy and had no seasoning. There was no garlic it was just sprinkled cheese on it. I recommend the fires wings in Brea as the fries are better. The Thai and dragon are amazing flavors and were still great. The fires made a huge difference for me so hence the 3 stars.
