Hate writing bad reviews but recently customer service is bad at the front and idk if its the owner, (wore a hat and looked rusty) but when it was busy he straight up told the cashier, who seemed frustrated, that "the people at the front don't matter and just get the food out." Half the time they don't acknowledge me and don't ever say "I'll be with you", but says it to other customers. I did order them both to go. The food was good but the fries are always over seasoned. At this point I think it's their signature. I've tried a few different items from their menu and every time I've gotten the fries they're overwhelmingly seasoned. I got into the habit of saying light seasoning now though. French toast was delicious. Main complaint I have, which wouldn't be able to be changed I think, is the drive thru. I was shouting my order and they still couldn't hear me. My sister and I stopped at Pete's to eat lunch my sister got the cheeseburger she said it was delicious burger and the fries were season well, I got the pastrami Sandwich let me tell you the pastrami had so much flavor they gave you so much meat that I only could eat half of it my fries were season very well. The service was amazing very polite and very helpful cashier. The Ambiance was very good it the only thing I wish it had music but everything else was amazing. I give pete's a 10/10 read more

I wanted to try a different burger joint, my sister is always raving about this spot so I came to try it out, location is pretty beat down the prices are decent, the burger is your typical shredded lettuce burger the onion rings were pretty well breaded and they served a lot, the fries were decent as well. 10/10 I come here pretty frequently for the large chili cheese fries with pastrami and it always hits the spot. Huge plate too definitely worth the price. The workers here are so nice and friendly! The food was great but the women who took our order was very rude and gave nasty faces to me and my boyfriend because we asked for a chocolate/strawberry milkshake. She then proceed to give us a strawberry shake so we had let her know we didn't want to shake because if we would've known that there wasn't any chocolate, we wouldn't have ordered the shake so if she could please return it, exchange it, or give us a refund. I had also ordered the zucchini sticks cause I was craving zucchini fries and to me. Tried this local spot and it's definitely my local place for a quick burger fix. They give plenty of fries but, like other yelpers commented, it's slightly over seasoned. What i don't like and see unprofessional and find humiliating is the way the owners tell things and treat the workers in front of customers instead of waiting and telling them aside what the mistake/problem was. Pete's has been our go-to for a burger since we moved to the neighborhood. The Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger is fire. Burgers are huge, the pastrami is even bigger. I love the fries here, always seasoned well and a little crispy and like half a bag for one order haha. Tried their Wild Fries once, not a fan. Too much onion not enough dressing or whatever the house sauce they use. Not a fan of the 1,000 Item Menus, always stick with the burger. Great little burger place. I get the junior burger meal and it's plenty. They load you down with fries be warned. Most of the time the fries are good but once in a great while they're amazing good. Same thing cashier was rude overcharged a pastrami combo 20 plus a pastrami by itself 18 dollars how does that make sense with out fries and a drink I asked for it well done again and extra 3 bucks they just steam it 1 thousand island for almost 2 bucks I walked away after my husband paid there's a dollar 50 fee for debit . My husband was taking me on a trip down memory lane, visiting many places he went to as a child. This Place was a frequently visited place and I see why. The Burgers are big and juicy! The fries are perfectly crispy and we came in at a great time because we were the only two people there. The staff was friendly as well. I'm not too sure on how rough the surrounding area is but they did have signs in the parking lot stating they weren't responsible for vandalized or stolen belongings. read more

Made a drive here from Torrance area as we have not been here for a long while due to COVID restrictions. Was looking forward to enjoy this visit to Pete's, but unfortunately, one of their employees had issues going on. As I started to place my order, I asked for easy mayo, extra pickles, requests that are often made by customers. She seemed agitated and extremely bothered by my requests that she raised her voice, made angry facial expressions, and started schooling me in what type of water I wanted when I asked for a simple cup of water. She entered an order for a special or combo meal which I clearly ordered a la carte. When I notified her of her error, wowww...she gave me an evil-dirty look that one does not even see on the streets! My burger came out missing lettuce and tomatoes, with lots of mayo- opposite of what I ordered. Funny thing is the cook heard my order, and could have overridden her mistakes. Negativity seems to spread. Either way, with many options, and better service offered at other establishments, it's going to be a long time before we visit Pete's again! Last note, I don't usually leave negative reviews, but when it's a bad experience, I will voice out. I believe management or owners need to be made aware if there is a pattern of no goodness that effects clientele as well as them. read more
