    Thai chili
    John F.

I come here every few months when I want a large flavor selection of wings. Fire wings has wet and dry wings to chose from and I usually order the wet wings. This time I ordered the Thai chili and the Korean kick wings. The flavor profile is delicious and I ordered through the app so that I don't have to wait in store for my order. The service is quick and I was in and out quickly.

The flavors are very delicious, and the prices are decently fair. The staff is also super friendly and patient. The ambiance has a chill vibe very relaxing and easy to go and eat some wings.

I am so upset with my order. I ordered 3 LARGE garlic noodle for a party and they ended up giving us a sample size instead. How embarrassing!

The workers in there are really petty right before they get off work . I literally just ordered 15 wing, 3 different flavors, all crispy, extra garnish, and extra seasoning. Please tell me why my wings came soggy and ALL DRUMS! The messed up thing is this is all I had to eat today and I don't even eat the drum. (It's a texture thing). I tried but it just was really bland

Salt and pepper wings on the left, and curry wings on the right. Although they were on the small side, I really liked the curry wings!

I don't usually frequent wings places, but I had a hankering for them today. This place is a solid 3. I had the curry wings and the salt and pepper wings which I thought were sufficiently crispy and tasty, but they were small and somewhat dry. I wished they were juicier. They do have a large selection of flavors which I think is nice, and the service was pretty good. I had a very helpful cashier who explained several of the flavors. This place is great for a convenience but I think I'm better off getting wings from restaurants who feature them as appetizers. I have usually found them to be juicier that way. But this is a good place for those who like wings at their convenience.

The inside is nice and spacious allowing for people to eat and hang out. Sometimes after a busy rush though, the tables won't be cleaned much. Still, i would say when it slows down they try to clean up a bit. The service is decent, they serve your food out fast. I would say this place is OK, but definitely not the best. The food is good, but some of the flavors tend to be a little overly salted. For example, the salt & pepper as well as the jamaican jerk flavors are good but are still a little too salty. ALSO, i ordered a 10 pc for all flavors but was missing 2 wings on my order of jamaican jerk wings. WINGS: -jamaican jerk: pretty overly seasoned and it's not as crispy as you'd want a dry wing to be -mango habanero: sweet and a little spicy, pretty good :) -salt and pepper: good flavor a little too salty -garlic noodles: alright but tend to be quite heavy. If you're looking for a good place to stop by for some wings i would definitely recommend it, however other locations for this chain may be better suited to serve you. The food is good but the service could stand to be better.

Three piece chicken tenders (Cali Rub)
    Gagan S.

Food: 3/5 I ordered the 3 piece chicken tenders (Cali rub) with a side of garlic noodles. Somehow I ended up with an extra side of noodles in addition to the side from the combo, maybe some miscommunication? My receipt showed that I paid for the combo plus an extra side of noodles. The chicken tenders seemed a bit over cooked/dry and really salty. I was hoping for something spicy, but again I just tasted mainly salt. The breading on the tenders is quite thick. The garlic noodles were delicious, nice chewy texture, and appealing garnish. Service: 5/5 The staff was very helpful, opened the door for me (I had crutches), also helped with what to order as it can get difficult to pick when there are so many options. They have an option where if you enter your phone number, you receive a text message when your order is ready. Ambiance: 4/5 My order was to go, but inside was still nice. There were a few others eating inside and it was not too loud.

This is a wing spot. I've been wanting to try out.. so to day i have to stop in before bowling and have a combo wing meal . The service here is pretty friendly and the ambience is nice and laid-back casual.

Check your pickup order before you go home. We used to love this place but noticed that every time we order for a pick up, they always forget something. This evening, they forgot our veggie sticks and ranch dip. They made our order quick, so that's great. But couldn't enjoy our food without ranch. I would've turned around if we didn't live so far. Darn.

Interior of Fire Wings in the Pinole Gateway Shopping Center in Pinole.
    Jason F.

The chicken wings are on fire at the newest location of Fire Wings in the Pinole Gateway Shopping Center off of the Pinole Valley Lane exit off of Interstate 80. I am so happy they chose to open this location in Western Contra Costa County as we do love our chicken wings and our regions could use a little competition for the few Wingstop locations that happen to populate this area, so enter Fire Wings Pinole, which replaced a place the previously housed a location of Tropical Smoothie Café (their sign saying that they still exist still overlooks the Interstate-80 freeway). Chicken wings can be hit or miss depending on your preferences for all things sweet and spicy especially when it comes to the sticky sauce that covers them all including your hands. But with this location, I am always down to support them and see what makes them so special, especially when deciding to open a new location of a franchise that is unfamiliar to many fans of those classic wings in a competitive landscape such as the Bay Area is always a challenge. Thankfully the Pinole Gateway Shopping Center has plenty of parking spaces so making a visit at any time of the day without any hassle is not an issue. Upon entry to this location of Fire Wings one will notice a sports bar with three flat panel television screens playing sports along the wall. It's a fast casual ordering operation at Fire Wings, where they take your order at their counter and call out your number when your order is complete. The menu at Fire Wings is rather robust as in addition to selling Chicken Wings, both bone-in and boneless, they also sell Chicken Tender Sandwiches, Big Sandwiches, Chicken Fries, Chicken Strips, Chicken Tenders & Beyond Tenders, Salads and Sides. Although with so much to choose from for my first time here, I came for their Chicken Wings and nothing more. They offer Chicken Wings by the piece at servings of 10, 20, 40, 60 and 100 wings. Since this was a visit to try out their wing menu I ordered their 10 Wings with 2 flavors and one dip. They have an abundance of flavors to choose from and they come in three categories Classic, Dry Rub and Fusion. For my flavors, I ordered five wings of their Cali Rub, which is a dry rub flavor and is described as a smoky and sweet mild heat backyard BBQ rub; and five wings of their Dragon, which is a fusion flavor that is described as sinfully sweet, thick and bold. It does take a while for your wings to be prepared, which I would assume means they take their time to handcraft their signature wings, as everything is made to order and pre-made ready to go, which I consider good. My total bill would be $13.16 before gratuity would be added in, which was reasonable. Upon taking my meal home, I did notice in their packaging they don't separate your chicken wings by flavor which is unfortunate as the wetness of the dragon flavor totally oozes over to the dry rub making everything wet thus ruining the flavor of the dry wings, especially when the complimentary dipping sauce of marinara was added in. I did find everything flavorful and nicely made, so consider me a fan, so much so that I would make a return visit many months later with the knowledge of my previous visit in hand, and this time I again ordered a 10 piece Chicken Wing order this time both Dry Rub flavors with Cali Rub once again making my order this time with Salt & Pepper as a Boneless Wing option as it as a "delicious wing with a spicy zing." When combined with the complimentary dipping sauce this time being ranch, I was sold with the bounty of flavor. With boneless, it could be confusing as what is the difference between that and a tender, turns out a lot as it gives the appearance of a bone but still whole worth feasting on. The total bill has gone up with time, as it cost my $14.59 this time around, which I suppose inflation is really setting in now. As Fire Wings continues its newfound domination of the competitive Chicken Wing dining scene, I cannot wait to try more of their menu items, and see where they open next!

The name of this nondescript takeout operation is actually its address on Macdonald Avenue. Ironically, the most popular place to eat in this neighborhood is McDonald's. I barely found it because it looks like a vacant storefront with a For Lease sign. A red OPEN sign was the only giveaway. I happened to read that this place offers some excellent Korean-style dishes. I think the menu can be more accurately described as global. It's apparently a mother-and-son business with the kitchen run by a Korean-American chef named Daniel who doesn't share his last name. His mother works the front of the house, and people order beforehand and come in for pick up. There's a community table presumably set up for dining, but the space felt more like a dental waiting area. Through the order window, I could see Daniel way in the back beyond a passthrough. I used their QR code to review the menu and order on the spot. All the entrees appeared enticing including Grilled Short Rib and Fried Pitman Farms Chicken. I chose the $24.50 Market Grain Salad. It was beautifully presented even in a takeout box (Photo 9). There was a mix of arugula, iceberg, romaine, and Treviso radicchio at the base topped with visual jewels: Fuji apple, Sonia Rojas cara cara orange, blood orange, mandarin orange, muscat grapes, and avocado. Further toppings included spring onion., tarragon, sunflower seeds, English cucumber, heirloom carrots, and French breakfast radish. Farro, red quinoa, and French feta cheese added more layers of flavor and texture. Harissa grilled Pitman Farms chicken provided a succulent serving of protein, and a unique sesame soy lemon chili dressing finished off a masterful creation. It was an impeccable salad. The $11 Skin On Gaufrette Fries were cross-cut and impossibly tender with a tasty dipping sauce (Photo 6). A genuine winner! The lettuce wrap came in two steamed, wilted pieces of iceberg, while the brioche bun was untoasted, foamy-textured and soggy. Both medium burgers had the consistency of boiled meatballs. The bacon jam was decent, but the overall experience was wildly unappetizing. We also both got plain fries, which were somehow greasy and dry at the same time, and instantly turned stale as they cooled down. We really hoped for this place because it's conveniently located, and all the other decent burger spots nearby have closed, but sadly we won't be giving 310 Eatery a third try.

The pepper-to-lime ratio leans pretty heavy on the pepper side, and I personally like a little more acidity to cut through the richness of the beef. The eggroll appetizer is also worth mentioning. They come out nice and crispy, and wrapping them in the lettuce with the dipping sauce adds a great contrast in texture and a fresh layer of flavor. It's a simple touch, but it really elevates the dish. The pho is solid and pretty standard, no complaints there, but the shaking beef is definitely the star. The atmosphere is very family-friendly. There were kids playing and interacting with each other, which gave the place a warm, community feel. My little one was a bit shy when some kids came over to say hi, but it was still a welcoming moment. The interior is spacious, so I wouldn't worry about bringing a larger group. And for accessibility, there are a couple of steps at the entrance, but there's a lift on the right side, and a flat entrance in the back for wheelchairs or strollers, which is a nice touch.
