We've been to this place a few times but lately it's pretty good. The dishes we've recently ordered have been really good. Parking is fine there's a lot. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food. Service is quick and ambiance nice We definitely will be back.

Me and the wife had a few minutes before we had to grab the kiddo from a party and decided to try out the China House. This was about 8pm and we walked in and was seated right away and tea was brought out. After looking through the menu a bit we settled on the "B" family dinner. They did allow us to substitute a dish for an additional fee. We had the sizzling soup, garlic chicken, Mongolian Beef and chicken fried rice. The portions were large and the food was good. The restaurant was clean and not too busy. Will definitely go back.

Haven't been here in a while, got some takeout, the lunch special sweet & sour chicken and some egg rolls. My food was ready after I order and the staff there are friendly and nice. It has plenty seating and ample parking if you want to dine in. Like any Chinese restaurant they have a lot of variety to choose from to do family style dining.

Ok, I've been coming here a few years now, and as much as I want more candied walnuts on the honey walnut shrimp, I do believe that China House is now my go-to place for honey walnut shrimp. They aren't too mayo-y like other places, decent size shrimp and good portion. However they ARE pretty pricey especially if you order through door dash. They have a small parking lot outside, you can also park right in front, on the street.

They gave us old chicken mixed into our crispy fried chicken! You can really tell the difference. Fried chicken cooked at the same time will always have the same color. Our chicken had different shades of frying. Who knows from how many batches this came from???

This place is a go-to spot during the colder months when we are driving back home. We always order the wonton soup and a side of rice. If you want to bump up the flavor of the soup, I suggest adding the chili sauce. We don't order any drinks because they always give us (black?) tea. We usually stop by in the evenings, so the place is not busy during that time.

I been dinning at China House more than I been eating at Hunan Villa, China Delight and King Valley. I remember when China House was in the shopping center in Pinole Valley. I will confess I did not like the current location off San Pablo Ave. It took over an old sandwich shop. I will say that I have that this location is convenience for me because I could park in the lot or on the side street in front of the restaurant. The inside of China House is big compare to Hunan Villa or the old location in Pinole Valley. Two TVs mounted on the wall to watch news or sports. It surely can be a packed inside during the holiday season. The service is good. I have not gotten bad service while I was eating here or picking up my order. The guy that is behind the counter is nice. As of late when I am eating here for lunch I been having Mixed Vegetable with Chicken. The proportion of my meal isn't bad. It is not too much like Hunan Villa but I am easily full once I finish my lunch. A Five Star Review for China House

    Receipt from my AE purchase

China House was my go-to for Chinese food. Well over the years the price has gone up and portion size has gone down. I went in last week for the first time in about a year, I ordered Salted Fish and the price was 19.50!! When the old guy showed me, I had to look in the bag to see what else I ordered lol. I said WOW!! When did the price go up that high, he said you must haven't been here in a while. I said nope and this might be my last time. I wish I had gotten a pic of the cheap plastic container that kept tearing up my finger as I kept going in and out of it. It was sooooooo good tho, but not worth 20.00! Yikes! Couldn't find my receipt so I attached my AE Apple Pay bill. Oh, and I had to ask for A NAPKIN which is what I got (1)!!

Food was good, but service was terrible. They all looked like they hated working there, specially the rude younger guy at the register

Enter China Delights. This was our first time here and while it wasn't my beloved whole rock cod, their fried whole flounder with a soy based sauce was good enough to stand in its place. The fish was fried crispy enough that you could eat the fins while the flesh remained tender and moist. The sauce wasn't too bad either. I enjoyed that fish so much that I probably could have eaten the entire thing by myself without an ounce of shame. And then our waitress gave me the information I needed to hear: if I want whole rock cod, call the day before to let them know we're coming and they'll have it ready. HUGE WIN! You don't have to tell me twice. Another thing I was happy to see was a variety of mu shu options on the menu. We went with the pork and were not disappointed. And bc my husband had his own craving that needed to be handled, we ordered the half roasted duck. And that wasn't too bad either. The staff tonight were warm and attentive. Not once did we feel unattended to, but we also never felt rushed. Sometimes that balance gets lost and they did it well tonight. So is it possible that we may have stumbled onto the promise of a new family go to spot? Possibly. They've apparently been open for over 20 years already, and I hope they stay open for another 20 bc finding an old-school Chinese restaurant that still serves some of these classic dishes is getting harder and harder. Now I just need to remember to call the day before bc that whole rock cod and I have some unfinished business.

I love that the restaurant is spacious and that there's an essence of coziness to the space. The service here is decent -- there have been multiple times where my party has had to ask for things because food or drinks were coming out too slow or were forgotten. There's definitely room for improvement in that arena. Food is delicious here, and I particularly love the sweet and sour pork! House fried rice and beef broccoli here is also amazing. Although I've had better honey walnut prawns, the ones here are still good (just pricey considering I prefer other places over it). Portion sizes are huge, even for sharing among 3-4 people. I recommend eating here with a fairly large group - you get your best deal when sharing the cost (and eating) together.

It's so aesthetically pleasing inside (see pics and video). The owner was there when we entered, and we were able to chat about Thailand and the Lao culture. So friendly and welcoming! Service was quick, efficient, and portions were ample for the lunch specials. We ordered chicken satay to start (comes with a nice helping of peanut sauce and cucumber salad), a pad Thai for the table with tofu, and a few lunch plates including the yellow curry, pad krapow, and spicy eggplant. Everything was packed full of flavor, and they bring a spice/sauce tray out to the table if you need to bring your dish up a notch. The lunch special comes also with a 2-piece appetizer like potstickers, egg rolls, and curry puffs which I thought was a nice touch. Plenty of shopping center adjacent (and free) parking, and wallet friendly. They serve Thai/Laos beer, wine, and a nice dessert menu. Would love to come back and try the Lao's menu including the papaya salad and larb.
