Came in hungry for Wings, left hungry for a better experience. Two members of the staff were highly inappropriate for a family setting. I felt bad that f-bombs were being dropped near a family with small children. Thin male in 20's with medium-long hair was the culprit and made the atmosphere very immature. Shorter Oriental female added to the aura of immaturity. Keep that in mind, it may be the reasoning for my less than satisfactory experience. That will be left up to anyone who reads this review. Location overall was clean and tidy, spacious, and comfortable. Ordering was simple and well done. The cashier (I'm presuming is Darren, based on receipt), was extremely kind and professional, and helped stroke confidence in me making decisions about my order. Wait time was just under 25 minutes (order placed at 7:51pm, was ready at 8:14pm, according to receipts and text message alerts). Didn't mind the wait because it usually shows the quality of food worth the wait. Got my order and left. Got home, and that's when things took a turn. As seen in the attached receipt, I had 3 flavors chosen. In the picture of food, they were all one flavor (salt and vinegar). Blue Cheese sauce was very runny and had an older, more aged bleu cheese taste to it (had taste remnants of grain alcohol). Garlic noodles were overdone (mushy and dry). Only outstanding item was the Nashville Tender Fries. Cooked to perfection, fries were crisp and tasty, saucing was perfect, and chicken tender slices were fluffy and juicy. Overall the wings were nicely cooked and tasty, but could not finish as I'm sensitive to sour foods that causes numbness in my mouth. It seems that a majority of these issues could have been avoided had the two staff members previously mentioned paid more attention to the job rather than screwing around and running their mouths as if they are in a high school locker room. I'm pretty sure my wings were in the second box on the prep counter, but the female never opened the box, just put it in the bag with all the other items. Quite an unfortunate experience, but I'm hoping the other locations will yield a more positive experience. Vallejo is the next closest so I'm hoping that will be a nice turnaround. read more

Love fire wings! The first time we ordered takeout online and when we arrived the food may have sat out for a bit longer than ideal so it was a bit disappointing. The second time we decided to just eat in to ensure we experience our wings as desired. They get busy around dinner time and it takes a bit of time to get our food. We like doing two flavors - one of the Asian fusion flavor and one more traditional. So after numerous reviews from my sister and cousin, I finally made my way to try Fire Wings. It was an impromptu food trip and part of my closing days of eating meet, so I was going to have me some fun! I ordered when I arrived because I wanted to see all of what they had. Now, I have to shout out Maliyah who put me on to a flavor combo they do that's not on the menu (I keep secrets, so sorry Yelpers lol). I had to remind her when people often get food the first thing they do is rummage through the bag open containers and touch the food. I am very picky with my food and maybe that's a personal problem however the attitude that I was given because I desire to have my fresh food which I pay for is unacceptable. This is my favorite wing spot! Unfortunately, I had to give it a very low rating today. Not because of the service, not because of the food, not because of the cleanliness BUT because the manager unfortunately did not know how to handle herself. For a very long time I've been eating at this place. I've seen this "manager" several times. She has taken my order before and has always been OK. Today I learned she's been the manager for over a year. In all the time I've been coming I never knew she was holding that position. Wednesdays are my days to come in because I'm off work early enough to stop by. It also happens to be the night the wings are 0.88 each...a win win situation. When placing my order I was told the price increased. Not a big deal. I was curious though as to how long they would advertise the incorrect price. I was instructed to speak to the "manager". She was sitting in the dining area so I approached her about the misadvertisement wondering how long it would be a false ad. She explained the prices just increased today. I understood her clearly. I changed the way I asked my question and she said she couldn't discount the order. I wasn't looking for a discount so again I asked her how long before they changed their advertisement. "I don't know, when we get time" she said with the cutest smirk as she then drew her attention to her phone. There were many things I could have said but didn't. She was so much younger than I and thought it best to extend grace. More transpired but I feel bad for our kids today that don't know how to handle themselves professionally. Then again, their version of professionalism is what most people would call sub-standard. Putting people in position to deal with the public should come with lessons on how to communicate. My whole reason for asking was because a false ad such as that can make or break someone. I deal with unhoused and unemployed individuals. Thinking you've scraped enough money together to get something to to find out you've missed the mark because someone didn't do their job (not the manager) is disheartening. The young crew at Fire Wings has always been a fun bunch of lively individuals. Stopped in at this Fire Wings in Pinole for dinner on the way back from dropping if my mother-in-law at SFO airport. It was around 8:20pm or so when we arrived and there were only 1 couple eating and 1 person waiting for take out. While waiting for our food, they all of a sudden got really busy, at least 3-4 more tables and a bunch of take out and food delivery service pick ups. Ordered at 8:27pm, got the food at 8:48pm. They seems to be very focused on getting the take out and the food delivery orders pushed out vs the people who are eating at the restaurant. When they finally brought out our order, they brought out the wings first, then the fires and garlic noodles came a few minutes later because they are still working on the garlic noodles. They forgot the celery and carrots, so we had to go and ask for them. The wings all tasted good and seasoned fries were crispy. The garlic noodles were a slightly undercooked and were a slightly doughy (cooked, but could be cooked a little longer) and stiff, but tasted good. The dipping sauces seemed to be a little watered down, particular the ranch which didn't even stick to the celery and carrots that I dipped them in. The staff all seemed friendly and like each other. They were very loud when they spoke to each other from the cashier area to the kitchen (mostly joking around with each other and about personal business), which I don't mind, but can be a little distracting to diners. At least they all seem to get a long and have fun while working.
