Dragon and Korean Kick
Andrew T.

This was my first time at this Fire Wings location and I thought it was overall pretty clean. They had a bar with multiple TVs which was nice. Like other locations, they have the touch screen soda dispenser which was nice. I ordered the Korean Kick and the Dragon wings. The Korean Kick wasn't too spicy. They both tasted really flavorful, but the sizes of the wings were so small here. I'm not sure if it's just this location or all of the Fire Wings locations as a whole, but I don't remember the wings being that small. For the wings, they don't drench the wings in the sauce, so it was clean to eat. The seasoned fries were the perfect crisp and went well with the provided sauces. For my dipping sauces, I got the thai chili sauce and the honey mustard sauce which tasted delicious. I love the variety of flavors that Fire Wings offers and I always feel the need to come back to try out the other flavors. Fire Wings remains to be my favorite wings restaurant.

5PC CHICKEN STRIP COMBO - Season Fries, BBQ Sauce & Peanut Sauce

Both my boys love Fire Wings. They go all the time and get wings & seasoned fries. But today was my first time there. There are so many things I want to try!!!! I decided on the 5 piece chicken tender combo to share with my 3 year old. She wanted BBQ sauce to dip them in and I got the Peanut sauce. I tried both our sauces and both were delish! Especially my peanut sauce. I dipped my fries in it too! And like my boys told me, the seasoned fries are amazing!!! I only wish they'd offer a "flight of sauces" for us first timers to try!

I first discovered fire wings a few years ago and the only location I knew of was in Elk Grove & from that point on Fire Wings has been my favorite wing restaurant. When I recently found out there was a Fire Wings in my city (Rocklin) I immediately was so pumped. First off, the flavors are out of this world. They have a mix of spicy and non spicy flavors & even though I don't really eat spicy, I can handle this spicy, the flavor compliments it! My favorite flavors are the Peking and Peanut Butter. Before you judge the peanut butter flavor, granted it's not a normal flavor you see but let me just tell you, for those that love wings... it is the perfect combo. The sides are really tasty as well, I love the coleslaw and the garlic noodles.. you can never go wrong with both of those sides with your choice of wings. For all you Wing Enthusiasts out there, this is the spot!

Been shopping around most of the day and I saw this place so I thought wings sound good right now.. I entered the place and there were a few people eating and watching a football game on three big screen TVs. I went to the counter and noticed the wings were pricey but I ordered anyways. I ordered an 8 wing combo with veggies instead of fries. 4 regular wings with a garlic parmesan dry rub and 4 boneless with a curry dry rub. I sat and waited. It arrived quickly but boy were these wings small. For the cost of the combo I thought they would be bigger and I was wrong. They were the size of a McNugget if that. The dry rubs were okay nothing to brag about but the how small they were really bugged me. I could have gone to McDonald's, got the McNuggets and would have been more satisfied. Atleast the carrots and celery were fresh and crunchy. I have bought a dozen of wing with veggies for far less at a dive bar which had more meat on them. Sorry but I don't recommend this place.

The tip I never gave permission for

They say there is a sucker born every minute, and apparently that sucker is me because are you kidding me?! So I called the business got take out, to place a phone order order for pick up, it tells me they are experiencing high volume, and it forces me to order online. Fine. I go online and place my order which is not entirely easy to navigate, I get 20 wings and they charge me three dollars for a side of celery, usually it's free but whatever I'm craving wings. I made awesome buffalo wings for Super Bowl Sunday, and was craving them again so I decided to give this place a try. I use Apple Pay for my payment, and realize at the end that I'm being charged almost $38 for 20 wings and a side of celery. My goodness, these wings had better be amazing! Wrong. First off, I realized they tipped themselves $4.59, it was an automatic thing I had no idea about it, nor did I give permission for it. I realized after the fact when I looked at my receipt to see why it was also expensive. Very shady right off the bat. I place my order at exactly 4:27 and it says it should be ready around 450, I'm close by so I figure I'll just go in and wait, I get there in seven minutes my order is bagged and all ready to go, wings should take a lot longer to cook than that, clearly they had already been made, which would explain a lot of things. I ordered them extra crispy thinking maybe they put a batter on them? Wrong again. They just overcook them to the point where it was like buffalo chicken jerky, I have also included a picture in case you needed more proof of why this place is not good, the chicken wings were about the size of a standard key for a door. Yeah, out of 20 wings there was only two wings, the rest were miniature drumettes that were about the size of a thumb. The only thing that was good about these wings was the flavor, but buffalo sauce is the same matter where you go. I paid just over $37 for 20 dry toddler thumbs LOOOOOL.

4.5 stars. From a pure value perspective. This place is worth it. Everything was reasonably priced. Tasted good. For the value and the flavor. Yes. Please try this. Only knock is the sauces are one level lower than rated. Will try again. 4.5 stars wings. Wings were above average. Sauces were both good. Original Buffalo was mild. Buffalo Stampede was medium. Good enough to want to try the fire. I assumed because this restaurant was named fire wings that the sauces would be a lot hotter. 4.5 veggie sticks. Normally I don't rate veggie sticks by themselves. These were the largest I was served. For only $2. What a deal. Fresh, good, and plenty. 3.5 stars Hawaiian rolls. A bit hard. How can you not like them though? 3.5 stars Regular G Noodles. The flavor was just to strong. Lots of garlic lots of sodium made it hard to eat the noodles. Noodles were good. Well cooked. Just the big punch of that flavor made it feel like all the water was being drained out of my mouth. 4.5 stars seasoned fries. Well cooked. Good flavor.

Huge area for pre orders today. They are BUSY!

Wow!!! I'm here just an hour away from one of the busiest events of the year for a wing business... the Super Bowl and this team is top notch! Their customer service is everything you would ask for with any customer relations. Everyone is so kind and checking in on everyone. The HUSTLE is UNMATCHED! Every single person is working so hard and communicating! On a day that could easily be so disastrous for a business they are excelling! Makes me want to support thieve hard workers as much as I can! The place is very clean. Continuing to sweep when anyone has a break from their job! I haven't gotten my food yet but I just had to review this place in this specially. I'll update with my food review! Im sure it will be amazing! Great job guys!

The best Fire Wings I have been to between Sac and Rocklin. Consistent every time. Extra crispy and extra garnish without even asking. Will drive out of my way to come to this specific location. Shout out to the young men working here

Ordered today and for the first time was highly disappointed. This is what they gave me for fried zucchini. A huge pile of soggy crap.
Rachel L.

I ordered today from the Rocklin location. Normally my favorite location. But today I was highly disappointed. They thought this soggy pile of crap was acceptable to give someone. Ordered fried zucchini sticks and both orders came this way. The girl working the counter even opened each box to ensure order was correct. When I called to complain she was who answered and had no excuse when I asked why she thought this was acceptable. Of course I didn't see it until I got back to work. Both of our orders came this way. Shame on the cook and shame on her for not saying anything. Thankfully my wings were okay.

Garlicky Noodles!!! So yummy!!!

Really good wings and tots! Floor and tables are super sticky though so I gave 4 stars. Time to deep clean this place!

One of my favorite things is their weekly specials there's always something amazing to try! Some of our family favorites are the potato cakes, BLTs (my kids love to get it for breakfast), biscuits and gravy, and chorizo. You can really taste the quality and care they put into everything they make. It's become our go-to local restaurant, and we always leave happy. Highly recommend!

Such a huge bummer! Is this place under different ownership or have they changed their…read moremenu/standards? We tried this spot out for the first time this morning after driving by it for years. The Owner's Yelp business description states they "specialize in breakfast", which sounded awesome. Reviews and photos looked so promising. Our experience was nothing like what others have shared though :( The space is nice and spacious, with an old school vibe which we liked, and we were so hopeful upon entering for the first time. Service was polite enough...but felt insincere and disinterested in taking good care of the customer. The one employee who I felt actually cared was the hostess, but the waitstaff seem to just be going through the motions. We shared it was our first time coming and we were excited to treat ourselves to a rare breakfast out. We needed a few extra minutes to study the menu since it was our first visit, but then we got forgotten about. I attempted to catch the waitresses attention numerous times with no success. After waiting about ten minutes longer than was reasonable, I did seek out the hostess's help in tracking down someone who could take our order. She was super apologetic, but of course it wasn't her job as she was busy seating people and handling her own tasks. The biggest disappointment was the food - in looking back at the photos the French toast we ordered looked nothing like the photos - first, when I asked what the difference between the 1/2 and full order was we were told it was 4 slices vs. 6 slices. That definitely seemed to justify the price so we ordered a half order for my young boy and I to share. What came out was shockingly different - it was two tiny slices of bread that looked like the inexpensive sliced grocery store bread. Because it was already small thinly sliced bread before being cooked, it was truly tiny once plated. We were honestly surprised they felt comfortable serving it. Maybe they ran out of their thick large French toast bread? No matter, they certainly shouldn't have served what we received though. It was confusing and embarrassing, IMO. So, we were misinformed that it was a 4 slice portion when it was 2 small thin slices of bread cut in half...that is not 4 slices of French toast. And then the waitress didn't come around our entire meal so I couldn't inquire about it until we were done. I ended up giving the French toast to my boy who ate it all in under 120 seconds, no joke (because there wasn't much to eat) and then he said he was still hungry. I, too, was quite hungry. Other family members agreed that the taste was good, but nothing special, and the servings did not match the high prices. So, the food was tasty enough but the portions were unreasonably small and do not justify the price, the service lacks greatly, and the misinformation was truly disappointing and misleading. When I did politely ask at the end about why she said it was 4 slices vs. 6 slices the waitress backpedaled stating she meant it was 4 halves vs. 6 halves...and then she apologized that we were leaving hungry and offered me a biscuit. ??? Why would I want a biscuit? I just wanted the meal the waitress told me I was ordering. I wanted what some previous customers have shared in their photos here. The French toast in the photos here on Yelp looks legit and exactly what we wanted and expected...again, so odd the kitchen staff felt comfortable plating up the order we received. Zero quality control there. Honestly, it was just a weird and disappointing experience that had us leaving hungry and unsatisfied, so we went home and prepared a meal there. We are super chill people with realistic expectations, so for us to struggle with this first experience says a lot about how subpar it was. The price of a soft drink is unreasonable as well ($5) - which isn't a huge deal, but with the disappointing food it was just the icing on the cake. A large cup is served but it's completely filled with ice. When asked if we wanted a refill she brought a small cup over with 85% ice and some soda, using that small cup to refill the large cup...splashing soda all over the table and then having to use her dirty damp rag shoved in her apron pocket to clean it up around our food plates, which was definitely unsanitary and made us cringe. There were customers there though - not sure if they were first-timers like us due to the new Farmers Market, but maybe they do have a repeat clientele so none of this matters to them because they can keep their doors open without new customers like us. Sad to try a local business we were excited about and then have this disappointing experience. We envisioned making trips to the new Farmers Market across the street often and then enjoying a wonderful breakfast afterwards, as a nice new Saturday morning tradition. Sadly we will not be returning to this restaurant.
