Came here with a large group for a work dinner and they did a great job accommodating all of us. We got the ahi tuna as an appetizer and that was a hit! Everyone really loved it. I got the 12 oz aged ribeye with a ceasar salad. The ceasar salad was good but the ribeye just tasted like charcoal/grill if that makes any sense. It was a perfect medium rare but like I said, the only thing I could taste was charcoal. Some people's steaks were very overcooked but they were so nice about resolving the issue. Overall, I would recommend this spot but don't expect to be amazed by the food. read more

I had a great first time experience at Firebirds tonight. I live within walking distance and was glad to finally get there. We took advantage of their 2-6pm happy hour specials. To order from happy hour you must sit at the bar or a bar high top and we literally had the last available high top. I would love to return with a larger group of neighbors but with the limited seating I don't think I'll be doing that. We did ask if we could move to a regular table at one point instead of the high top and were told we could not because of reservations. The place was empty until we left 3 hours later. I don't know why they wouldn't let us move. We would have ordered more food off the regular menu if that was the issue, but we weren't given that option, just told no, by the manager who came by to deliver the message. We asked the waitress for her picks and ordered all of them. The pineapple martini was so smooth. I am not a martini drinker and I loved it. There is a huge glass piece where the pineapple is infused onsite and you can taste the difference (see photo). Also the $7.95 discounted price for this was fantastic. We ordered the chicken nachos, burger sliders and prime rib sliders. The prime rib was the best option. It did only come with 2 sliders which was surprising because it said it served 2-3 people. The nachos were presented well and had a strong fresh lime flavor that I really enjoyed. The burger sliders came with 3. I felt that they were really dry and would not order them again. I did try ketchup but I feel like the could be served with an aoli or some other condiment to help the dryness. After the light show at Shady Brook, we headed across the highway for dinner. When walking in, the place seemed pretty lively considering it was on the later side, but not too crowded or loud. We were automatically greeted and seated in a booth. Our waitress was very kind, good personality and provided good recommendations for food and drinks. Because we know our little one well, we took a look at the kid's menu options so we could put her order in as soon as possible to anticipate the "I'm hungry" chants that come like 5 minutes after she truly realizes she's in a place that gives people food lol. Though she threw us for a loop by saying she wanted a hot dog - something she never asks for and that this place didn't have - we landed on getting her the smoked chicken wings (instead of her typical chicken tenders) with her normal sides of fries and fruit with her favorite drink (appe juice). Though we were hungry, we didn't go overboard with choosing just one appetizer to share and our own entrees. The Lobster Spinach Queso for sharing was pretty good and different from things we normally order. Entree wise, I got the Parmesan Crusted Chicken whole my boyfriend got the Filet Mignon. I was not expecting the serving size I received - it was a lot of food! Gave a piece of one of the chicken breast to the bf and ate some, but had enough for a whole extra meal at home - which is exactly what I had with those leftovers the next day lol. I've been here a few times and have loved it every time. It was very quiet this time since it was during one of the snowstorms. I ordered the honey garlic chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and street corn. My little sister ordered the kids burger, fries, and fruit. I loved the chicken. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very flavorful. The mashed potatoes were my favorite and I think I've gotten them every time I've gone. I wouldn't get the street corn again- it was fine, but it didn't really taste authentic. My sister loved her burger and ate almost the whole thing. She ate the fruit and some fries too. We missed out on our reservation for when they had their grand opening so today was our first time at this location. I ordered the garlic honey chicken with sautéed summer vegetables with a stuffed baked potato. My chicken breast was a generous 4" x 4" piece of chicken and at its thickest part 2" with maybe 3 tablespoons of veg. The baked potato was a good size and tasty. If it wasn't for the baked potato, if you go hungry I guarantee that you will leave hungry. My sister ordered the wood fired salmon which again was a generous 4" x 4". The service was insanely fast, not sure if that's based on what we ordered, the time we went or if they are just well staffed. All in all though the food was good. First time we had lunch here. We have been to happy hour a bunch of times. Brayden, our server was "right on" in every way. Timly and kind. Food was impressively fresh and delicious. Bacon cooked perfectly on the salmon blt. Sandwich kinda fell apart when my friend picked it up but everything on the sandwich was slippery. Ahi tuna was delicious...at first I was concerned the ahi tuna was not as pink as I thought it should be, more grayish actually, but tasted just fine. I would order it again. My friend raved about the tortilla soup. I may have to try that next time. We arrived at 12pm and the place filled up within the hour...almost every table occupied. We each ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. We were given a choice of a 6 or 8 oz pour...dumb question for us girls...of course the 8oz! Ha! We went to the Yardley location for the first time and we were celebrating my husband's 70th birthday. Mostly everything was awesome with the exception of dessert. We ordered dessert and I was expecting a little acknowledgement of his birthday, but it never happened. The General Manager, Justin Morrison came by to ask us how we liked everything and boy did he make up for the mishap. He could not have been nicer. First time trying Firebirds. I did order through Door Dash. The food was pretty good. I like the different menu items and grilled food. Deviled eggs were delicious. Depending on how you look at it I got the wrong order delivered the first time so had a 2nd order for the right things and ended up trying a few additional items. Unfortunate or fortunate mix up? I was able to try the Southwest Au Gratin Potatoes, 5 Layer Lemon Cake, Smoke House Burger, Tater Tots, Side Cesar Salad, Sweet Tea (which was just regular ), Firebirds Chicken Pasta, Spinach & Salmon Salad and BLT salad. Yep a lot of food, but don't forget a wrong order delivered. Everything was pretty good. Salmon was a little dry, but I enjoyed the flavor. Salads were great. Bacon was a little chewy for my liking on the deviled eggs, but overall tasty. The little slices of Jalapeño weren't spicy at all. Tater tots weren't crisp, but always a possible issue with delivery so hard to say if it was that or just not cooked enough. The Au Gratin potatoes were very cheesy. Would've preferred more potato if that makes sense. Overall decent pick and something different. I liked the healthier options of grilled food as well. I've been to a few Firebirds locations and always enjoy the food. This is the newest location and a lot smaller space than the others we've been to. For this visit we came for happy hour. The bar area is really nice and the outdoor space looks great too but it's just too cold this time of year to sit outside. The happy hour is basically $2 off draft beer, a few dollars off the drinks and $3 off the bar bites. We ordered the sliders which everyone enjoyed. The garlic parm fries were decent but weren't fresh cut (likely frozen). We also ordered the cauliflower which was just ok a bit oily and the shrimp which were definitely frozen and not that great. Overall the space is great, service was great, apps were fair at best. A decent happy hour but I will come back next time for dinner which is where they really shine. read more

Very nice layout at Firebirds. Spacious, yet intimate. A grill that actually knows from steaks and burgers. A large rectangular bar kept by dudes with white hair who can mix a fancy or pour straight up bourbon as called upon. We sat at a deuce hightop in the bar zone, and received strong friendly service from Michael, who paid just enough attention to us to be helpful, without cloying. Son ordered the three course steak dinner (ribeye medium rare, garlic cheese mashed and small cheesecake dessert). I went with the Durango Burger (medium) with side of Grilled Mexican Street Corn. Draft beer for him, Alex's Lemonade pour moi. Both were excellent. Steak was as ordered, juicy and ran nicely into the pile of mashed potatoes. My Durango was half pound of pink ground beef with lettuce, tomato, onion crisps, Cooper sharp and semi-sweet aioli sauce on a French bun. The MexiCorn was done with grape tomatoes mixed in. Quite the taste treat. We were impressed with the production at Firebirds and attention to detail. Standing room only at the front of the house waiting for tables by the time we left. Sat at the bar and had a Durango Burger with fries and a side of broccoli. * The service (from bartender Tara) was kind and attentive. * The atmosphere is spacious and comfortable. They've spent a BUNCH of money building and outfitting this restaurant. * My burger was very good. It has a big, THICK, juicy patty. Charred lightly on the outside but still medium inside (just like I ordered). * Fries were excellent, but they only gave me about 14 of them. But maybe that's better for me health-wise :-) * Broccoli was cooked perfectly (al dente) and bright green/beautiful. It was a little under seasoned and would have benefitted from a something a little acidic (lemon juice, balsamic, etc.). Not a big problem. I'm going 4/5 stars due to the menu prices being higher than I thought they should be and the lack of seasoning in the vegetable and the burger. I'd probably go 4.5 if it was possible. read more

Got a reservation for a soft pre-opening training night with a free meal. Alcohol not included. The place is in the shopping area of the new Wegmans across from Shady BrookFarm. Our server asked if she should shake my martini I said of course. Never had that question before. Both were delicious. The menu is wide ranging and you can get anything you might want. The place is a chain that originated in the Carolina's. Apparently moving northward. Ambiance is typical bistro steakhouse. A bit loud but not unpleasantly so. It is now 5pm and the place is about 50% full. An interesting moment when another server came by and poured what was left of our martinis into a frozen new glass. Never saw that before. The deal is two mains, a side and one appetizer to share. Not a bad offer. We got a lobster queso. Basically a dip with chips. The dip was tasty. . Our steaks were very good - not great. My ribeye was flavored perfectly but it was so thin. Usually when I get a ribeye it is 1.5 inches thick. My wife's filet was wrapped in bacon. Not what she ordered. I have been back a handful of times since writing this review and the quality of the sandwich, and food in general, is not the same. The chicken is flat, dry and not juicy, you're lucky if you get more than 10 french fries on the side too. Those that I have dined with as well said their meals were okay at best. I'm sad writing this, because I truly wanted to like this place. Went there (3) times, and each visit got worse. First two times was a sit down meal. Both times, I could not get a cup of coffee. I don't get it. Did they have to call Juan Valdez to deliver coffee beans ? Food was good, but a little expensive. Drinks were expensive. But, I don't mind paying as long as I get good food, drink and service. Our second visit, we had like 4 different waitresses. I didn't know who to tip. Our third visit was the worst.
