Wednesday dollar wings which were good sized and had a dry rub- perfect as I only ordered 4. For dinner I had the brisket sandwich and collard greens - excellent. My buddy ordered the Cuban which has pulled porker and ham which he said was excellent. My friend ordered pulkk on Ed pork and usually loves it. But it had a strange taste and she asked if she could have a burger instead. The waitress was fine with the change after checking with the cook. The waitress was very accommodating and helped whenever she could. I ordered a brisket sandwich and it was okay, had a good flavor. One of my favorite bbq places might actually be my favorite honestly. The ribs fall of the bone and are huge but only available on the weekend. Burgers are good and fresh. The pulled chicken is my go to from here it's not dry, it's well seasoned, the bread is buttered and crispy from pan toasting it I believe. The potato salad tastes like my grandma made it and the Mac n cheese is soooo juicy and good I believe it has pepper Jack cheese in it and breadcrumbs on top. The greens are yummy tastes like grandmas again lol. And the French fries are good too. And their quarter chicken is juicy! I have not had a bad experience here everyone has been so nice and the service is fast and food alwayssss hot! It's VERY clean like dining area AND BATHROOM IS SO CLEAN. Really nice atmosphere! I had the pulled pork platter with Mac and cheese and potato salad, and added a side of the chicken. The boyfriend had a burger with pulled pork on top and sweet potato fries. Pulled pork, chicken, burger, fries and potato salad were amazing!! Mac and cheese was okay but not the kind you would expect at a BBQ place. They served the platter with pickles and a slice of white bread. The pickles seemed to be a house made quick pickle. They peeled them so without the skin it didn't give a good crunch that I love from a pickle. Also think they were not pickled enough as all I could taste was the raw cucumber taste. The bread was also a little dry for my taste. One thing I wished they would have had was some delicious homemade cornbread. Always amazing food. Everything we have gotten from here is excellent. The Sweet Potato Fries are my absolute favorite and probably the very best ones I've ever eaten. The prices are very good for this area. The atmosphere of the restaurant is inviting and comfortable. The place is a bit small, but there usually isn't too much of a wait. This place is fantastic, and this comes from someone who rarely eats meat. It's one of my favorite restaurants in our area. Their smoked chicken is really tasty, the brisket is incredible and the club sandwich is delicious and beautiful - it looks like the ones you see only in commercials. I tried all 5 sauces, which were all fantastic, although the Carolina was the absolute best. Ordered pick up I was told it would be 20-25 minutes I get there 20 minutes later and the young guy says it will be another 20. So I came back later just to be told it would be another 10 minutes. We've been a couple times in recent months for lunch and dinner. Smoked chicken, Mac n cheese, collards, Reuben, fries, pulled pork with a nice selection of sauces. All excellent! Oh but those horrible orange chairs!!! Those I cannot recommend unless you're a kid or a skinny Minnie. We moved to the outside dining area which is really quite grand actually. Another off putting experience was that the server kept referring to us as "guys" and we're a senior hetero couple. "Guys, how is everything?" And on and on like that. Numerous times. LOL! Cute place good service but the food was just ok.. I had a hamburger that I figured would be wood fire or charcoal grilled given the name of the restaurant. I was so happy to find this place! I am newer to the area, so finding a great BBQ place made my family very happy. We all had different things: I had the pork platter with 2 sides (Appalachian beans and Mac n cheese). Everything was absolutely delicious! The beans were o so good, the Mac n cheese was creamy, and pork was perfect! My husband had a BBQ pork barley bowl that he said was great! My son had a BBQ brisket sandwich and fries. He loved it! They have several homemade BBQ sauces to try alongside your meat choices as well. We had beer with dinner (they have beer, wine, and soft drinks), it was ice cold! A hidden gem in Martinsburg. The food is great, the service is great. Not a BBQ fan? That's okay, they have other items on the menu: a burger, a chicken sandwich. The biggest issue is deciding what to order when I go in. Do I try the special or order whatever I've been craving? Everything I've had has been great, so it's a conundrum. I accidentally got sweet potato fries with my order once. I don't even *like* sweet potato fries, but they were fantastic! Highly recommend, but don't tell too many people, I like being able to go in and get a table! read more

A great place for barbecue! We tried the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. Both were excellent, with very generous portions. We chose mac and cheese plus collard greens for side dishes. Awesome place! I've been here 3 times so far and the food is excellent! I came for the brisket but ended up getting the wings 2 out of the 3 times. I shouldn't be telling everyone this but on Wednesdays they have $1 wings.(don't want you filling the place up and taking my table) They are the best wings around. Not coated in any breading, just smoked perfectly. With the several sauces they have to put on them they are so darn good, all of the sauces are very tasty. I had the Gridley brisket sandwich the other time I was there and it was good but it had to many other things on it that took away from the brisket flavoring. I just like brisket and BBQ sauce and I'm good. I think most people would love the sandwich though. Oh and the Mac and cheese was the best ive had in a while. Next on my list to eat there is the brisket platter with potato salad and the sweet potato fries. Service is great and the place is nice. read more

Everything we've ever ordered has been delicious. This visit was no exception. Sometimes it can be hard to find a seat, but this time we ate early and had no wait. We ordered a bbq sandwich and the fried green tomato sandwich. The bbq was perfect, and my partner preferred the sweet n spicy sauce with it. My sandwich was tasty. The fried green tomato had a perfect tart bite. It was piled high with pimento cheese. The sourdough bread was so tasty and grilled just right. We ordered the butterscotch pudding for dessert (except I couldn't wait I ate it first) and let me tell you, it was the best dessert I have had in Martinsburg! It comes with a thin shortbread cookie which I wasn't expecting, but oh yum!!! It smelled divine and tasted even better. It went perfectly with the pudding, which was a jiggly texture much like a crème caramel or flan but with a caramely butterscotchy flavory. Just the right amount of sweet. My only complaint is that I now want to order it in bulk and eat it every day, it's that good. Our server was friendly and entertaining. We felt right at home. We cannot wait to go back! read more

Friends had recommended we try the BBQ here. We ordered The Gridley, 1/2 Smoked Chicken Platter and a Club Sandwich. The Gridley was a mix of delicious flavors. The brisket was tender and tasty. It was a large portion too. No sides come with the sandwiches but they do include a couple yummy sweet pickles slices. The club was also very good. The bread really made the sandwich extra special. It was a wheat artisan bread from a local bakery. The flavors were perfectly blended and every bite was enjoyed. The biggest winner was the chicken platter. By far the best smoked chicken we have ever had. Juicy and moist with a savory rub and delicious smoked flavor. It was finger licking good! The sweet potato fries were also top notch. The platter came with two sides. So we also had some soup beans which were also notably good. The food was ordered on the app and ready when we arrived. Service was good. There is a bar and inside seating. There is also outdoor seating. It is located in a small plaza area. Glad we made the drive to give it a try. It was worth it!
