Food came out at just the right pace between courses. Ambience was only "ok"... I did notice that things looked a bit worn. And one thing that bothered me was that there were ceiling tiles that were badly water stained and sagging... nothing active, but it was very unsightly. Given that they are very easy to replace, leaving them there just made the place feel less "special evening" ambience to more like "a diner" which is a shame for a place i expected to be more classy. As for the food we had lots of positives to say. We tried the crab bisque appetizer which was thick and creamy with just the right amount of seasoning and crab meat. The portion for a first course was generous. We also got the steamed mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce. The mussels were cooked perfectly. The clerk didn't waste time with pleasantries. The food takes awhile to prepare. I waited about 15 minutes after I ordered as they fresh bake the crab cakes. A tip jar sits by the cash register. The place is cute inside decorated in a harbor/seafood theme. There are 5 tables inside and 2 counters that seat 4 people each. It's the kind of place that you'd meet a friend for lunch and a beer and hang out. There are a couple of Adirondack chairs out front. A tv monitor was playing basketball reruns.
