Our salad and three different types of pizza were all excellent and the lady serving was friendly and attentive. Would definitely return.

Stopped in for lunch with my college student on a Friday, and it turned out to be the perfect solution for a meatless Friday meal. We were greeted right away as there was no one else in the restaurant. Its an open floor plan with two rooms. Im guessing its quite lively in the evenings. We shared the chopped salad and the Daisy pizza. The salad was good, though not a traditional chopped salad--it used that trendy wild greens mix that so many restaurants are leaning on these days. Personally, I'm not a huge fan, but the menu did specify it, so that one's on me for not paying closer attention. The pizza, however, was absolutely terrific. The crust was soft and chewy with just the right amount of char from the stone oven. The combination of the sauce, cheese, and fresh basil was spot on. They also drizzle a flavored oil over the top--we couldn't quite pinpoint what it was, but it added an extra layer of flavor that really elevated the pizza. We devoured the whole thing--three slices each! At around $20, the pizza might feel a bit pricey, but it's clear that everything is fresh and made from scratch, so it's well worth it. Service was attentive, though we were the only ones there at lunchtime. I imagine this place really comes alive in the evening. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu--and next time, I'm not sharing my pizza. read more

What a fantastic find! We had just gotten into town and needed some lunch, and after perusing the options popped in here. The woman working was so sweet, and our pizzas (one with pepperoni and one with cheese and olives), my small starter salad, and the gelato were absolutely tremendous! My husband is still talking about the salted caramel gelato hours later! The pizza is the real deal - hand stretched and cooked in a giant oven in the front of the restaurant, and the salad I got (with walnuts and blue cheese) was so fresh and quite abundant! The atmosphere was modern, relaxed, and welcoming. We will definitely plan on a return trip next time we are in town! read more

The crust was amazing! We were visiting from another state. We have a pizza oven at home and make our own sourdough crust. The unfortunate side effect of this is it has raised our bar for what good crust looks and tastes like, so we are now pizza snobs. This pizza definitely met the standard, which is uncommon! Really fine crusts... A+ for flavor and chew. Weird salad dressings... only oil, no acid element -- eg, lemon/vinegar -- made it hard to enjoy otherwise nice greens. Just finished off the Peppy pizza and Star Light salad. Very nice small salad to lather up my taste buds and recommend this mixed green starter. Whereas FireFlour is a local favorite the crust is too gooey for a Neapolitan pie. My comparator is Punch Pizza in Minneapolis. FireFlour needs to get their crust right and has work to do. read more

Fireflour is a Neopolitan style pizzeria. Soft, delicate airy crust with a slight crisp with leopard spotting and a very thin wet center. The dough was white and missing that sweeter robust flavor, which comes from an overnight ferment. The pizza sauce was spicy even though we asked for the Calabrian chili oil to be removed from our pizza. The service was excellent. Our pies came to the table within 2-3 minutes of ordering... likely due to a 60-90 second bake in their extremely hot wood fired oven. The service is 10/10, the pizza 8/10. read more

We had just flown in to visit my boyfriends family and were starving. I had seen this place had great reviews, and seemed to be a hPpy medium between what everyone wanted. Arriving they had outdoor seating already full, which I took as a good sign. The smell wafting out beckoned us further, and made excited for the meal. Upon being seated the drink menu appeared fairly extensive, they even had non alcoholic beer options. Each person ordered their own pizza and after that things went a little down hill. The pizzas didn't come all at once and there was no mention of the time to expect the next ones when they brought them out. Two people got the peppy. One peppy tasted like it had been cooked in smoke, the other had been cooked Ling enough to not be raw , but still was to limp and needed more time. I had the Duke and the flavor was excellent, but sections of pizza crust was raw. My boyfriend apparently had. Perfectly cooked pizza. I can only imagine there is an issue with the oven and it is not regulating temperature evenly. The waitress never came back to ask how everything was, so we never had a chance to communicate any of this to her. We actually had to track her down finally since we needed the check, and had been waiting a while. I feel like the have potential, but need to work out some kinks. read more

They don't deserve 1 star! We had a good experience here with our first time visiting. We decided to stop again before leaving town. This experience was absolutely horrible! The worst experience we've ever experienced at a restaurant!! The waitress was short with us from the get go. We requested gf/df. She took our order. The pizza arrived from a different waitress and it looked different than our first visit. I verified that I was gluten free and she just grabbed it and yelled to the chef that it's supposed to be gluten free. The chef at this time started slamming and throwing stuff around while we were sitting feet away. He was clearly upset. Did the waitress type the order incorrectly? Did the chef read the order incorrectly? At this point we felt like leaving but felt obligated to stay. The order came and while the toppings were not correct we just ate and left as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, my husband got sick from his pizza. Yes, there is always a risk of cross contamination when gluten is in the kitchen but we didn't have a problem on our first visit and rarely have issues with menu items labeled gluten free elsewhere. Was this an intentional contamination? Only the chef knows. Unfortunately, this ruined the rest of our trip and I will never suggest this restaurant or visit ever again! read more

Our favorite pizza was the 'Schroom.' Listen to this: Fontinella, hand-stretched mozzarella, roasted mushrooms, melted leeks, la quercia speck. OH MY GOSH! I'd never had anything like it! The mushrooms were cooked to perfection, and I was dying over the incredible addition of the leeks. Why don't more people put leeks on pizza? There are other awesome, unique pizza flavors too. Delicious pizza at a premium. It cost us $50 to deliver two medium sized pies (about 14") but they were worth it. Their crust and flavors rival many New York pies I've had. We had a red and a white pie. The white was a bit spicy for my kids but I liked it. read more

A little disappointing after reading reviews. We were seated and asked if we had been there before. Since my friend and I had not, our waitress gave us a quick rundown of the menu. She explained that dough is made fresh daily and a personal pie only takes 90 seconds to cook in their wood fire oven. She also said that a pie is big enough to feed two people. Great! If we both ordered a pizza, we'd have more than enough food. She asked us if we wanted to start with water and I took her up on that offer. Unfortunately, we were served with room temperature water. Not my cup of tea, er, water. What intrigued me about Fireflour was their menu, which was accommodating to vegetarians and even had a vegan cheese option. The downside? Adding vegan cheese to a pie was $5 extra. I was hoping it would be worth it. Back to the "90 second" pizza. We didn't get served food for 20 minutes. It was a Monday evening and it wasn't busy at all, so that was a bit odd. I ordered the Saucy with vegan mozzarella. Was it worth $17? I'd say no. The pizza was decent, but the crust was paper thin. I've had pizza all around the country over the years and I've never had pizza this thin. The mozzarella was lacking, as it was just plopped on in random lumps, leaving much of the pie with just a thin layer of sauce. Toppings were already lacking, with just a couple garlic slices and four tiny, shriveled basil leaves. With that said, the pizza was good, but not $17 good. It was worth maybe half that, given the extreme thinness of the crust and lack of toppings. These six slices were supposed to be enough for two people, but me, being a relatively small guy, wasn't filled by it. Service was friendly, but not very attentive or quick. The pizza took a lot longer than expected, but we weren't checked on at all. The water was warm and the prices were too steep given portion sizes. I'm sure this is one of the better pizza places locally, but compared to what I've experienced, it was, being generous, average at best. My recommendation would be to lower prices a bit or go a little less thin on the dough. read more

Ordered the Duke and added pepperoni and sausage. Good texture to the crust and always good to eat brick oven pizza! All the toppings were good quality. I like a bit more sauce than was on the pizza but it was well balanced and flavorful. I was about 10 minutes beyond when I said I would pickup my pie so the pizza had time to cool off before I dug into it. Overall a great pizza for sure but recommend eating at the restaurant in lieu of takeout. Staff was super helpful and very friendly! I really wanted to give this place a good review. Unfortunately, we were informed that a decent amount of their kitchen staff quit, and they were in the process of training new people. After a 45 minute wait, my wife and I were incredibly disappointed in the pizza. Out of all the artisanal pizza places we've been to, this is probably the worst. The pizza itself was disappointingly small for $16, the crust was void of substance and the cheese was bland. The sauce? Not bad. The tomato sauce was sharp and acidic -- it was the only component of the pizza that had any semblance of flavor. We were given a complementary vanilla bean gelato as a means to remedy the long wait. The vanilla bean flavor itself? Pretty solid. However, for a gelato, I found it to be too icy to be called a legit gelato. Perhaps with well trained staff, we wouldn't have waited so long. However, $16 for a pizza this small and not filling, we would've gone to Domino's for the same price. We actually ended up going to Taco Bell afterwards cause it felt like we ate a light appetizer. read more

Went here a couple weeks back on the way to an Elton John Concert with my daughter and wasn't disappointed at all. Place is set up very nicely and offers premium pizza and VERY good coffee. Clean place with very friendly staff that are able to make some suggestions if you're unsure of what to order. ALL the food we tried was very good and coffee was equally impressive. Went in not expecting much and were surprised. Will definitely eat here again next time we come through. read more
