    Daisy pizza

Stopped in for lunch with my college student on a Friday, and it turned out to be the perfect solution for a meatless Friday meal. We were greeted right away as there was no one else in the restaurant. Its an open floor plan with two rooms. Im guessing its quite lively in the evenings. We shared the chopped salad and the Daisy pizza. The salad was good, though not a traditional chopped salad--it used that trendy wild greens mix that so many restaurants are leaning on these days. Personally, I'm not a huge fan, but the menu did specify it, so that one's on me for not paying closer attention. The pizza, however, was absolutely terrific. The crust was soft and chewy with just the right amount of char from the stone oven. The combination of the sauce, cheese, and fresh basil was spot on. They also drizzle a flavored oil over the top--we couldn't quite pinpoint what it was, but it added an extra layer of flavor that really elevated the pizza. We devoured the whole thing--three slices each! At around $20, the pizza might feel a bit pricey, but it's clear that everything is fresh and made from scratch, so it's well worth it. Service was attentive, though we were the only ones there at lunchtime. I imagine this place really comes alive in the evening. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu--and next time, I'm not sharing my pizza.

We decided to stop in for some pizza and left with mixed impressions. The food was fine, nothing particularly memorable, but not disappointing either. We ordered a pepperoni and a mushroom pizza. The real standout was the service; our waitress was friendly, welcoming, and made the experience pleasant overall.

    Yuck

Awful. Never again. We ordered 3 different pizzas on gluten free crust and paid for extra cheese. Not sure there was any cheese. Barely any ingredients. Crust was like cardboard. we will never order from you again. Pizza wasn't even cut!

Couldn't get in for dinner the night before so went for breakfast. They had good coffee, egg dishes and pastries.

Solid pizza spot, excellent wood fired pizza. Choose outdoor or indoor seating. Get the gelato for dessert. Friendly staff and good service.

The Peppy, Classic pepperoni pizza. K and needs work on crust

Just finished off the Peppy pizza and Star Light salad. Very nice small salad to lather up my taste buds and recommend this mixed green starter. Whereas FireFlour is a local favorite the crust is too gooey for a Neapolitan pie. My comparator is Punch Pizza in Minneapolis. FireFlour needs to get their crust right and has work to do.

Great pizza, service and Homemade ice cream. Found this restaurant on YELP and glad I did. Would definitely eat here again.

Our salad and three different types of pizza were all excellent and the lady serving was friendly and attentive. Would definitely return.

Best pizza in town! We've always had good service and the ambience is just relaxing. My fave is the Uptown pizza.

Last night was my first and probably last visit to Bistro 1100. The vibe inside is a stuck in the…read morepast retro feel. Not unlike when grandma decorated her house in 1973 and never changed a thing. It is not bad or anything, it is just maybe not a great backdrop for poorly executed over priced food. Service was great, like most places in Bismarck, people are friendly. I love that. Saturday night around 6:30 there was no wait and we got to a table right away. Drinks were good, but the fresh bread they brought out was great! We started with the bone marrow appetizer, we liked it. It could have used a bit more seasoning and would have greatly benefited from a lemon wedge to balance the richness. I ordered the New York strip with Jack Daniels peppercorn sauce, and this is where the real problems started. The steak was way overcooked and under seasoned. The sauce had almost no flavor at all. The chewy peppercorns were the most entertaining part of the whole dish. I had planned to just eat it and not make a fuss; however, our server noticed the steak was overdone and offered to get me a new one. I said sure, thanks. No more than five minutes he pops back with a new steak. He told us that this one was ready but the other order was waiting on their pasta so they would fire a new one for the other table. I cut into the new one and it was more overdone than the first one. Now we have a bit of a situation and I felt somehow it was my place to solve it. I agreed to eat the new bad steak, so the other table could get one and we were both not having dinner. Quite the kerfuffle, when I had intended to just eat the first steak. When it was all said and done, I ate about half the new steak and a quarter of the first one, so it is not like I went hungry. The server came back and explained they were having some technical issues with kitchen thermometers and that he was going to take some of the price of the steak off our ticket. I feel this was a mistake. A gift card to give them another try or comping the whole steak would have been more appropriate. In all fairness though, the broken thermometer was not at fault for flavorless sauce, or the in seasoned steak.

We had a lovely dinner as a family celebrating my birthday while staying in Bismarck. The service…read moreis quite friendly, as are most of the people in North Dakota. The ambiance is that of a traditional upscale restaurant, with (most) patrons dressing in their Sunday best. Our kids enjoyed their food off the kids menu. We ordered a lobster bisque, Caesar salad, and crab cakes for starters. The lobster bisque was very, very bland--even for me! And I never add salt to anything, not even to most of my cooking lol! My husband was dousing it constantly. Unfortunately, even with all the added salt, it was tasteless. The crab cakes were ok, and the Caesar salad was standard. I ordered the pecan-crusted walleye for myself--it seemed a bit overcooked and I ended up eating only half. We tried chocolate cake for dessert and it was also just ok, a bit dry and also bland, surprisingly. I hate to give this place a lower rating because it's hard enough as it is to come by a fanciful restaurant in such a small town. They're trying, but need to step it up in the taste & preparation department.
