SO EXCITING! A new brewery located in downtown Greenville?! Now I can walk to the brewery and stumble home ;) Fireforge is located just two blocks from N Main St and conveniently located next to great eats such as Sully's Steamers. However, Fireforge already has plans to have their own kitchen and I cannot wait to see their menu. They have a variety of beers from Belgian wit and cream ale to imperial stouts and IPAs. The majority of their beers are 6-9% alcohol. Talk about go big or go home! They have three different size options at very reasonable prices. I got a flight with the Saison, Belgian Wit, Helles Bock and Cream Ale for $10. Currently they only have one part of their indoor area open where there are several tables and a very comfy sitting area with couches and rustic decor. The outside area is pretty bare but there are plans to build that up. I'm excited to see what the brewery looks like once everything is complete! read more

Stopped for a quick light lunch, which happened to include two beers each, LOLZ. We had a charcuterie board and and soft pretzel with beer cheese. The pretzel was more "bready" than "pretzel-y" which was fine. It was great with some of the items on the board as well. Don't remember all the names, but tried the Tripel, IPA, Belgian wit and a German wheat sour. All excellent. Super cool staff, lots of room to separate via COVID. Took a Saturday road trip here, best decision ever. I visit a lot of breweries and it's not often we visit one and walk away thinking they scored 100% accross the board. This spot was truly a winner. Beer selection was great, the clean disticint flavor, temperature and drinking experience of the beer was superior. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about their beer and how it was brewed. We also ordered food. The beer pretzels were banging...chicken salad sliders could use some of the flavor enginuity like the beer, too bland. The facility is well kept,clean and big bathroom facilities to make room for more beer. The outdoor seating and heaters were a nice feature. Limited parking so you may need to park and walk to this corner property. read more

Another Yelp win! In town for a mother-daughter weekend & found this on yelp & 5 min walk from our hotel. I love a good brewery that also serves good food. We were not disappointed, Tried 2 different beers & had the Friday banh mi special. The bread was super fresh & the sandwich was tasty. Zapps chips on the side. Easy to find with a good amount of beer selections. Only thing I don't like about this place is that it was insanely hot in the common area. They did have fans but they were blowing hot air. Also, there wasn't anyone cleaning any of the tables so you have to clean them yourself. If you want water, they will ask you if you want regular tapped water for free or "chilled" water at a price which I think is pretty annoying. read more

Great beer and events just don't go on Sunday! I had a group join me at FF for beer and food one Sunday afternoon. We had several pups and 8 people. We were the ONLY people in the garage indoor area. LPUD rap music was being played., louder than in the actual brewery. I politely asked if they could change the music. It was a very small crowd in the brewery. Was told "it's Biggie Smalls day, best day of the week". I asked again , are you sure we can't have different musical outside? answer was NO. An hour later, still no other customers, I asked AGAIN for the music in the garage to be changed or turned down. They lowered the volume. Sunday afternoon. football didn't fit the music. Great ambience at this relaxed, unfussy brewery, great beers and a rotating seltzer, gourmet grilled cheese with pickled veggies is a nice change of pace for brewery food. Best Craft beer in Greenville! Came for a weekend in April and did not have a beer here I didn't love. Lots of hazy beers and a cool warehouse atmosphere and outdoor area made this my favorite brewery stop for the weekend. Definitely check it out. After visiting Fireforge a few weeks back it actually had me contemplating a move to Greenville. It has an incredible selection of creative brews not to mention the space is inviting and a damn fine place to drink beer. Did I mention the staff is great too? My daughter accidentally left a jacket behind when we visited. I called them the next day, received a call back a few days later from the owner saying they did in fact have it. They held it for me for 2 weeks until I was back in town to pick it up. But the best part is the beer. You can tell there is passion and love poured into all their recipes. Fireforge is our Greenville GO TO! If you want the best beer, live music and people, this is the spot. Laid back and super friendly service...it's a great place to hang out with friends and family. The quality and taste of the beers we ordered in the flight were delicious. The brewer here knows excellent taste. A lot of choices are available for all types of beer lovers...all the way from IPA's to Tripels to Pales to Sour. They even offer wine to non-beer lovers. We ordered the Charcuterie board...delicious and well done. My husband and I enjoy visiting breweries in SC, NC and GA. I would rate this brewery at the very top!! Quite impressive to be honest. Limited food menu, no sides with sandwiches, all self serve (ordering, pick up food, clean up your dishes, and if you want water, again, it is self serve), but they are quick to ask for a tip (not sure which service I am tipping??) !! I was lucky enough to catch a soft opening at Fireforge, and I have to admit I am very eager to return after their official opening which I believe is June 28, 2018. The location is right in the heart of downtown Greenville and the brewery has a very cozy community feel. The vibe really comes together through rustic pallet wood walls, comfy furniture, a rad owl lamp, stained glass & eclectic original tap handles. I tried some really good brews, my favorites being the Fires of Helles Bock which had a delicious balanced heat to it and the Bordello Imperial Stout with ghost peppers, cacao nibs, and tart cherry, the dream team of a flavor combinations. The recycled old pallet wood covering the wall behind the bar is instantly eye catching. Also, who made the stained glass with their logo?! It's so great. This is a craft brewery. It's got a good vibe. The beers are expensive, but that appears to have kept the children out. "Oh oh, the priiiiice you paaaay". (To quote Bruce Springsteen.) I'll pay it. Real beer with good flavor, in a FUCKING glass. If I've gotta pay $9 for my Hazy IPA, I'm glad they have the decency to put it in a glass. (It's a hazy ale. Not a bourbon barrel aged beer. It's the least they can do.) I like this place. It beats the hell out of the crowded and children-ridden Yee-Haw that resides .01 miles away. "She is a beer snob" you say. I say "Guilty as charged." They had 20 beers on tap? A cold brew coffee and a cider on tap during my visit. Bravo Fireforge. Fun place, they had a live acoustic band and we got medium beer and the grilled cheese. Like the atmosphere, the medium beers are pretty small and the cheese on the grilled cheese was generous and tasty but was not completely melted.
