After messaging the owner, he explained that the shop restricts drink modifications to speed up service. However, the obvious miscommunication among staff shouldn't fall on the customer. It was extremely uncomfortable to be shut down and given a hard time by Marcy. While every business has the right to set its menu rules, denying basic customizations and refusing to sell a side of cream top feels overly rigid for a local coffee shop. The strict atmosphere makes for a stressful customer experience.

The food is ALWAYS consistently good, no matter what you get. The breakfast quesadillas taste flavorful and leave you feeling healthy and not weighed down. The salsa is always super fresh and tasty. The huevos rancheros and breakfast burritos are so hearty and delish, too! I've never had a bad item on the menu, so you really can't go wrong with what you order. The staff is so friendly, kind, and attentive and have been working there for years so they all work well together. I would tip them a thousand bucks, if I could. The ambiance is comfy and cozy, and there is enough seating and space to where you don't feel cramped. It's not a huge place, but just right for a small family breakfast or meet-up with a friend for yummy food and great conversation. I always order the chicken fried steak, hash browns, and biscuits and gravy. It is delicious. Everything on their menu is tasty and priced reasonably. Waitresses sometimes write little notes of appreciation but this is the first time I got a heart on my ticket. I asked if she does that with all her customers and she said no.
