New to the area, a co-worker suggested this place. Located in a tiny hidden area with a congested parking lot, I placed my order and it came out fairly quickly (I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on wheat for 10.75 & made it a combo for 4.45 more). The sandwich came in 3rds (which is odd). The chicken salad mixture was ok but really didn't have any flavor. I also ordered a roast beef sandwich with spicy brown mustard for my friend and he said it was awful and mushy (he had it the next day) and had to discard most of it. There are a few tables inside where you can dine in and the owners/employees were very nice though. CJ's a local gem that's been around for years. They offer hot and cold sandwiches, salads, breakfast, teriyaki, and more. A great spot for affordable breakfast and lunch. You can dine in or take out. I've been coming for a while and appreciate the kind and quick service. The dining area is clean with a few tables. I mainly get the sandwiches here, but the chicken soup and teriyaki bowls are also delicious. The bread options for the sandwiches and veggies are always fresh and prepared well. My current favorite sandwiches are the Trilogy, Chicken Salad Sandwich, Submarine, Gary's Slice, and The Club. They also offer a variety of cheeses and ingredients to add to your sandwiches. You can make it your way. I recently got the 1/2 sandwich and soup combo and was pleased with the chicken noodle soup. Flavorful broth without being too salty, with lots of shredded chicken and spiral noodles. It came very hot with crackers on the side. Upgrading the combo with a drink and chips makes for a tasty meal. Prices are fair and worth supporting this local spot. Lunchtime is the busiest (as with many places), but I haven't waited too long to place an order and receive my food. They also offer delivery (with a minimum order) and catering. There is parking in the small lot in the front. There is also an entrance behind the little plaza, where you'll find more parking if the front lot is filled. When I ordered, the lady asked if I wanted everything in it and I said yes, but then she kept repeating "Are you sure you want the sprouts?" several times. I'm not sure why she kept asking, and I kept saying yes. When I looked at the menu behind me, the sandwich was listed at $8, but I was charged $10. I love the Yelp community precisely for this reason. I have driven by the complex CJ Deli is located for many years but have never seen it because it's pretty inconspicuous. I wouldn't have found it if it weren't for the great reviews I stumbled upon. I was craving a really good sandwich when it was raining last week, and decided to visit CJ Deli since it's nearby. I ordered a regular veggie sandwich on squaw bread with no cucumbers, a chicken and rice soup, and bottled water. The sandwich was spectacular. It tasted like real food. Nothing that's been frozen or has been sitting out for a while. It was all very fresh and tasty. I also appreciated that there was a bit of egg in the sandwich. I haven't come across a place that makes their veggie sandwich this way. The soup also tasted like it was made fresh for the day and nothing overly salty. I ordered a ham and bacon, and there was plenty of both in the burrito along with some potato and some perfectly cooked egg - not overly scrambled like many places do, there was just the tiniest bit of running yolk in it which honestly added to it! Phenomenal sandwiches!! quality ingredients and delicious fresh baked bread! my favorite is the pastrami with pickles....it is so so so good - you must try!! Also the people who own this deli are super sweet and kind. My friend needed a sandwich order for a large group starting at 7 AM on a Saturday and the couple who owns this deli came in to make it for them even though they don't typically arrive onsite until 8 AM. Highly recommend very unassuming little strip mall, but you must go and get some sandwiches. You will not regret it! read more

The menu selection is vast with Hot & Cold sandwiches, salads, soups, teriyaki etc. You could eat here for a year & not have the same thing twice. Take your time to look over the menu as there's a lot to see. There are some tables if you'd like to stay & eat but they do a bustling Take - Out business as well. First time customers. We live here and pass by CJ's all the time. Our visit started with weird vibes from the woman taking the order. Then I saw her overcharge me on 2 sandwiches. $10.95 instead of $10.75 each. She didn't give me, or offer to give me a receipt!! What the hell? So....I did the math including tax just to make sure. The owner showed up while I was figuring this out, and I asked him if prices shown were current. He replied yes, then re-added up my order to check the total on the register. He ALSO rang up $10.95 each for the $10.75 sandwiches. That was shady twice in a row. I corrected him and then he happily refunded the difference. Meanwhile the lady was busy making our sandwiches and I hoped she wouldn't make them shitty since I called her out on the overcharge. (She never acknowledged or apologized for overcharging us.) A couple minutes later the owner handed us our order and we went home. The BLT was okay. The Hero had didn't have much meat, and was hugely underwhelming overall. My sandwich was the Roast Beef, which I personally felt was incredibly stingy on meat, with just a couple very thin strips in some places on one half, and none towards the end of the bread in the other. I've never had such a pathetic excuse for a roast beef sandwich. I felt as if the entire sandwich had maybe 3 oz of meat on it. On a scale of 0 to 10: Food - Portion sizes were very stingy for the price paid. Score is a 2 out of 10 Service: Wasnt a fan of getting overcharged and the weird awkward, unwelcoming vibes. Very good sandwiches. Meats and vegetables seemed very fresh. Bread was nice and soft. They have a pretty extensive menu, but in some older posts they used to offer a combo option with the sandwiches, but I did not see anything posted on the wall. When I got to the counter I noticed on a piece of paper some items that are add ons, but I didn't really get to read it as I felt rushed due to a line of people and I didn't want to hold up the line. They should create a sign board the other items you can add for free, as well as items that are extra or if they still offer a combo option. I ordered two large sandwiches and two drinks and that came up to $34.00. I don't even know how much the sodas cost. For my sandwich I added sprouts and since I ordered a large, I paid an extra $2.00, which is quite expensive. I think certain items should be one fee regardless if it's a large or regular. They should also post all the pricing for sodas, fountain drinks, chips, etc. I would like to try some of their hot sandwiches like the beef and pastrami sandwiches. read more

CJ Deli is between a 4 and a 5 for me. They are friendly and their sandwich is solid, It's about what I'd imagine from a deli level sandwich. The salad is your typical greens with sliced deli meat. They are reasonable quick and they are reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone nearby who wants a sandwich. Worth $8 if it had more polish sausage. 1 out of 3 burrito had only a couple slices apparently. Contained scrambled eggs, potato's, a few cuts of polish. Needed a bit of seasoning. They use the right amount of potatoes too. Not too much how other places they fill it with potatoes to skimp out on other proteins! Burritos are not regular "taco stand style burritos". I'm honestly really upset. I went here to get breakfast while on my break since I also work in the plaza. I got a breakfast burrito, walked it back and took my first bite and I bit into a chunk of metal with plastic in it (like a topper maybe?). I called and they told me to walk it back so I was more annoyed since I had to rush back during break before my next patient.
