The cookie dough. So very good.
    Alan C.

I just became Yelp elite, and so this was my very first event. I look forward to many more of these. The event was fantastic!! I like the fact that they use a retired and converted fire engine. It definitely gets your attention. The people were very friendly, explaining what everything was, and they were overall just nice people. I got two M&M cookies, which were very good. Soft, but not too soft, and a good amount of M&M's. The sample jar of cookie dough was cherry/chocolate chip flavored. They were also selling larger jars of the same flavor for only $6, so to support the business, I picked up one of those, also. I'm glad I did. So very good! It is eggless, so if you are one of those people who believe that you shouldn't waste perfectly good cookie dough by making cookies out of it, well, there you go! The dough was creamy, the cholocate chips were large, and the cherry sauce running through it was just out of this world. You can eat the dough by itself, or do things like put it on ice cream. I go either way, so I decided to also try making a few cookies out of some of my dough. I just popped them in my air fryer oven. They came out ooey, gooey, and delicious. Perfect with a glass of milk. They will obviously also work in a conventional oven as well. I am going to get on their Instagram and Facebook pages, so I can find when they will be out again. I'm a fan. *THANKS!*

What do you get when you mix macadamia nuts, chocolate chips, cherries and a few other delicious cookie ingredients? Why you get the Firehouse Cookie Company where you get your cookies and edible cookie dough right from a vintage firetruck! I was so happy to be able to attend my first Yelp Elite of the year and even more happier to try some delicious samples of their cookies and cookie dough. We also purchased additional cookies and additional cookie dough to enjoy later and got some cool Yelp Elite Swag. It was a nice ending to our Saturday afternoon. The Firehouse Cookie Company has partnered up with their brothers over at Next Rung. Where their mission is to help combat mental health issues among Firefighters and First Responders. Mental health issues and an alarming amount of suicides have become more of an issue among Firefighters and EMS Personnel (Most recently they have even begun outnumbering LODDs). The Firehouse wants to help be that beacon of hope during these difficult times for our Firefighters and First Responders. Every cup purchased, they will donate 50% to the NEXT RUNG Foundation. What a great way to support our Firefighters and First Responders.

Edible cookie dough?! Yes please! This company makes some tasty treats, and serves them up in a refurbished fire truck! This will be a big hit for sure as soon as covid lets us get back to our Yelping lives! Perfect for outdoor events and private parties. They serve edible cookie dough, fully baked cookies, and they just installed some taps on the side of the truck to serve beer too. Can't wait to see this truck around Sac again soon! Full disclosure: I was able to sample some of their treats for free for a Yelp event, but I was so impressed that I bought several jars of cookie dough and a 6-pack of M&M cookies, all of which were great!

This weekend I had the opportunity to finally try Firehouse Cookies. I love that they are the first to bring cookie dough to the Sacramento and bay area because I had never had edible cookie dough until now and I'm not mad about it. Look out for their white chocolate cherry chunk cookie dough, hopefully hitting their regular menu soon! It's phenomenal! It's sweet and chocolatey at first, then you get a bit of tart cherry and it's a game changer. And in case you were wondering, their baked cookies are just as mouth watering. I also bought a couple of their chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. Every one of them are chewy and baked to perfection. Their firetruck is such a cool focal point too and their ability to transport and set up shop around the area is pretty great. They are available in some local shops also so I will absolutely be on the lookout or I will definitely be visiting their online site to make an order.

To be one of the first elite events of the year I am happy i was able to attend. The owner is very nice and personable, he welcomed us and allowed my son to get on the truck and even wear a helmet. Super exciting for us. I felt as if i was visiting family but I'm always overly friendly it's just me. The truck is the perfect touch. I wish i would have remembered to ask the what they were about and why the fire truck. But someone else remembered and i read so thanks to them. My yelp elite deal was yummy! And safe. M&M cookies and the special cookie dough. Honestly i didn't realize i didn't have to bake it. Luckily i read the card soon as i got home. I like that there are brownies and cherries added. I'm not a big fan of cookie dough i rather a slightly under baked cookie. But the fact they are able to create this dough and make it taste just like the real thing earns the stars. The jars they come in are super cute and i think the perfect serving. We also purchased the oatmeal cookies and additional jar of dough. I enjoyed them! I don't see the problem with a slight bake so i think i might try that lol I would get these minis if possible for gifts.

Stopped by the Fire truck tonight for the Yelp elite event. The owner was so friendly and courteous. Learned about the business and even tried the cookie dough with brownie, cherries, white macadamia nut and chocolate chips. The dough was soooo good, creamy and not too sweet. Told my friends to come visit this weekend while he is out. We will definitely return again.

This is a tough review for me to write because I just don't get it. I'm not sure why I would want to just eat a jar of cookie dough. I'm probably too old and not the target market. With that caveat, here are my thoughts... The converted fire truck is cool. Love that it has tap handles. Put a solid craft IPA on tap and serve my kids cookies and we have a party. The dough was fine. Can't say I'd run out and buy it, but I'm also not a "cookie dough person" if there is such a thing. It was pleasant. Significantly better than buying a tube of the old stuff at the market though. The two cookies they gave were fine. Nothing spectacular, but I'd eat them again if put in front of me. As the son of a retired fire captain I really hope these guys do well. If I ever have the need for what they offer I would support them in a second, but I'm.l not sure that situation will ever arise.

A food truck for desserts, and they serve it out of an actual fire truck. I love it! Unfortunately, due to the weather, we were unable to buy anything in addition to getting our free cookies, cookie dough, and hand sanitizer. But, at the same time, the trip to this unique spot was well worth it. The gentleman serving us was nice, and the desserts were delicious. The cookie dough is not made with egg or dairy, so it is actually considered edible cookie dough. But, hey, I grew up eating cookie dough considered "inedible," too, so that term does not exist in my cookie dough vocabulary. I digress, but, to be honest, their cookie dough was delicious. It wasn't too sweet, either. Made with heat-treated flour and containing a fudge and cherry filling, I devoured it in mostly one sitting. I had to stop myself because it was so good. The cookies they had were made with chocolate chip and M&Ms, and also just as yummy. I'd love to go to this place again to try their other desserts, so I can certainly see myself making another visit in the near future.

I've never heard of this place until Yelp Sacramento had an Elite event. It's a cute little food truck that sells cookies and cookie dough. The owners are very nice and service is great. Overall it's a great local business. However there are a few things. One, I wish there was a sign or menu that had the different cookie flavors available. Secondly, I wish there were more cookie flavors available. Lastly, their cookies are good, but not the best I've had. It might have been an off-day for them since it was a cold day & they were probably there for hours.

These guys are either scammers or incompetent. Regardless, this type of experience is inexcusable. Timeline: 10/5 - Placed order 10/14 - Received "A shipment from order is on it's way shortly..." email notification with a tracking number 10/21 - The tracking label showed no movement and has not been received by the carrier. I reached out via email and Facebook Messenger 10/25 - After some back and forth, they claim they "shipped" the order but will send me a free replacement 11/1 - I follow up for details regarding the replacement shipment as I heard nothing 11/3 - I get another tracking number (sent via Facebook Messenger). I ask when it will actually be shipped. 11/8 - I'm told it will be shipping out today. 11/12 - No movement or proof of shipment on the provided tracking number, prompting me to follow up. 11/15 - I follow up again due to the radio silence and continue to be ignored. Currently, their website is down. I get that this is probably a small business but this ridiculousness is not OK. You can't just take $ and string along customers. It's hard to imagine that they shipped me two packages that coincidentally were never received by the carrier. Looking at the other reviews here, it seems as though there was at least one other customer who had this same experience. This leads me to believe they either don't know how to manage the shipping part of their business or are trying to pull a fast one. The frustrating thing is they didn't even bother to refund me so I have to do a chargeback. Anyways, don't waste your time placing an order for shipping. It will probably never come. Super disappointing because I was actually really excited to try the product.

The owner was very nice and provided me with a little history of his company. Be sure to place your order for pick up. Love the fire truck turned i to cookie company. The chocolate cherry chunk cookie dough was good. Not to sweet. The cookies were good.

There is no seating inside but there are a few benches outside. I think the favorite thing I got here was their "not pizza" which was their sourdough bread topped with delicious tomato sauce, cheese, etc. Amazing and so soft and fluffy. I also really enjoyed their banana bread (insanely moist) and egg and ham cup. Prices are reasonable (croissants are less than $5) and service is fast despite the line out the door. Very high quality stuff and worth the drive if you are coming from out of the area. You won't be disappointed. I wouldn't be surprised if this place continues to get more popular. I grabbed the chocolate banana bread, a garlic bun, a potato and crème fraîche, savory pastry, and an egg and ham pastry. Definitely been on a big banana bread kick lately and this one did not disappoint. Tons of chocolate chips! The garlic bun was by far my absolute favorite. It was crispy and at the same time so buttery like a croissant, and the garlic flavor was amazing. Not overpowering not that spicy garlic taste when a recipe overdoes it, just perfect garlic, butter, crisp and light. Absolute heaven. I set my pickup on a Sunday at 12 pm. There is a number to notify the bakery you're there for your pickup. Unfortunately, they were so slammed no one picked up and it went to vm. I couldn't go inside since I had my 1 year old asleep in the car. I parked near the front and knocked on the window. An employee saw me and gave me excellent and expeditious customer service! Respectful, kind, and appreciative for my business. I wish I got his name! He walked the cake all the way to my car and made sure I took a peak to see if my cake was correct. We ordered the Strawberry White Chocolate Mousse cake for my son's 18th birthday. Not super sweet even though white chocolate can be that way. The mousse was light and not too decadent. The cakes, pastries, and beverages were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. In fact, the cakes impressed me so much that I can honestly see myself ordering future birthday and celebration cakes from here. The ordering process was smooth, and the décor is gorgeous, making it a really inviting place to spend some time. I enjoyed the bakery so much that I came back a week later to try lunch. Unfortunately, that's where things took a turn. I ordered the burger, and someone in my party had the salmon burger. Both were incredibly bland. It honestly tasted like no salt or seasoning had been added at all. If you prefer very lightly seasoned food, this might be right up your alley, but it just wasn't for me. The iced tea also comes unsweetened, so keep that in mind if you're expecting sweet tea. One small thing that could also be improved is the ordering setup. There are separate lines for the bakery and the kitchen, but when it gets busy it can be a little confusing--especially since you order first and then find a seat. Overall, I'd absolutely return for the pastries, cakes, and drinks. The bakery side is outstanding. As for lunch, though, it left me wanting a lot more flavor.

I decided to go for the chicken and mushroom congee. (rice porridge.). I also got a green onion hotdog roll to take home with me. To drink, I had a green tea with lemon. The congee was amazing. A rich complex flavor. It had a little bit of ginger in it, you could definitely taste the ginger, but it did not overwhelm the rest of the porridge. The chicken was good, and for the mushroom, they used black mushrooms, which have a deeper flavor than regular mushrooms. So very good. It looked like a small bowl, but I couldn't finish it. Some came home with me, and it reheated very well. It also came with Chinese donuts to put in the porridge. Chinese donuts are a little bit different. They definitely taste like a doughnut, except they are not sweet at all. They are savory donuts, and are perfect to use as a crouton, so to speak. The green tea was very good, and they didn't overdo it with the lemon, and that hotdog roll that I had later, the pastry was delicious with just a little bit of a "chew" to it, they were definitely high-quality hot dogs, and it wasn't just green onion. They had something mixed in, I'm not sure what it was, but it didn't taste raw like green onion can. Just a great lunch. I'll be back. Thanks.

The hash brown bread with ham and cheese was very dense and filling, making it a great savory option. I loved the self-serve pastry setup and appreciated how large the bakery selection was.
