Craving for a juicy burger so decided to visit Shake Shack. I've visited this Shake Shack Ice Block spot a few times before as well as spots in Las Vegas and Bay Area. Plenty of parking around the area and the place is very well maintained and organized. There are a couple of games inside including a foosball. Ordered a double ShackBurger, fries and a drink. I ordered the ShackBurger and the Stuffed Mushroom Burger. The ShackBurger was good--juicy, flavorful, and exactly what you expect from Shake Shack. No complaints there. The Stuffed Mushroom Burger was my first time trying it, and it was pretty good overall. The flavor was solid, but it was smaller than I expected, and all the cheese burst out the back of the mushroom and into the paper bag, which made it a bit messy and less enjoyable by the end. For two burgers and a Diet Coke, the total came out to about $30, which felt pretty steep for what you get. The food was good, but not quite good enough to justify the price. My sister was still craving a good burger and we decided to give Shake Shack Ice Blocks a try. It popped up on our search in the Yelp app. Parking is very limited in front since there is plenty of shopping and other eateries nearby. We walked into a busy restaurant. The employees were working hard and fast. I decided to order from one of the four kiosks located at the entrance. We both ordered The Big Shack. It was a double party with double cheese, produce, and sauce. I didn't realize there was an extra bun in between it all. My sisters burger didn't have any produce. We also ordered a side of fries and a side of onion rings. It was just around 10 minutes and a nice employee brought our food to the outdoor seating area where my sister was sitting. The burgers were served inside boxes. We opened them up right away and I took pictures. These burgers were so soggy and sloppy. Even my sisters burger without the produce was soggy. It felt disgusting to eat. It kept falling apart. I even took that extra slice of bread out of the middle and put it on the bottom but it didn't help. It looked like it was toasted, maybe in grease? ... each bite was miserable and kept sliding apart from the whole structure. As soon as I started, I just wanted to be done eating it. The fries and battered onion rings were good. I wish my sister and I shared a huge tray of just those. I'm thinking that having these burgers served in boxes created too much condensation. Combined with toppings (I had toppings, but my sister didn't) and the amount of sauce all piled on this flimsy bun created a disappointing combination of what they called a burger. Always a 10/10 burger and one of my favorite locations! Parking can be tricky sometimes, but I usually like parking on the side of the building where it is street parking and you don't have to pay. The entire complex of the ice blocks is stunning and they have a lot of really fun things to offer business wise. Let's get back to the review of the burgers though. Whenever I'm looking for a good Smashburger, I think Shake Shack has one of the best options in the game for fast food. The quality of all of the ingredients is superb and you taste it with every bite. I always get the smokehouse burger and it comes with the cherry peppers and it is so spicy and yummy. The bun at Shake Shack is probably one of my favorite fast food burger buns as well too. It is so buttery and soft and just phenomenal. The staff here is always very nice and they go above and beyond to make sure that you have what you need even once you sit down at your table they even hook it up with things every now and then. Sometimes the inside can be a little dirty, but I know they really try their hardest cause they are very busy. This is my first time stopping at this particular Shake shack. I've always wanted to go to a Shake Shack and had the privilege of trying my first one in philadelphia. I was only in the mood for a milkshake so all I can speak up on is the milkshakes. I enjoyed having the milkshake very creamy, affordable and they have kios so you can order your own meal. Also the rewards is a good idea to sign up for because you can earn free things. I get emails all the time regarding discounted items and free items. Wanted to try their dubai chocolate pistachio shake since I've been obsessed with dubai chocolate! The first time I stopped by, they were out of the shake as I was told by an employee that they only make 50 of the dubai chocolate pistachio shake per day. I came back again on a weekday around noon and was so glad they still had some! The shake was good but slightly too sweet for my liking. I love that they lined the cup with a dark chocolate shell but I wished there were more chocolate pieces in the shake itself. Otherwise, it was a yummy drink! I've always liked Shake Shack and usually have good experiences, but unfortunately this visit was disappointing. I ordered a double ShackBurger (lettuce wrap) and when I opened it at home, the patties were very undercooked in the center. There were multiple areas that were still bright pink/raw (see photos). For ground beef, this is a food safety issue, especially for people with health conditions. I couldn't finish the meal. I'm not posting this to be negative -- just hoping management is aware so they can address it and make sure burgers are cooked thoroughly in the future. Living in New York City most of my life, I didn't have the same excitement when Shake Shack finally opened in Sacramento. I always remember Shake Shack as a hot dog cart in NYC and food was mediocre. There is one nearby buried in the Roseville Galleria, so that visit won't happen, lol. I'm so glad I waited for the initial excitement to pass because I remember the lines were kinda cray when they first opened. As usual, the new paint smell is gone and now it's just a burger joint. The shop was nice and clean, friendly faces working hard and the option to order with a peep or peepless. That's a good option cause not everyone likes chit chat. Oh, how I love thee, Shake Shack! I'm almost embarrassed to say that I've been here about 4 times in the last 2 months. But they are that good. I love that their burgers are smash burgers, and they are consistently hot, fresh, and delicious. I usually order via the app so that I don't have to wait long, even though we almost always eat it there (on their lovely patio). The staff are nice, helpful, and the place looks clean. I've only used the restroom there once, and it was also clean. The fries are also good - I don't know what it is about crinkle cut, but they're wonderful and a bit nostalgic. I am not a fan of the shakes, only because they are far too sweet for me. I eat at this location quite often, and it's a great one! It's very spacious and clean inside with long tables good for bigger parties. The foosball table inside is a fun touch too. The four order kiosks are very useful. My order usually comes out quickly too. My Shack Stacks are consistently yummy and crunchy! The shroom burger alone is really good and flavorful even without the added meat patty. The milkshakes are also good too! I tried the limited banana pudding shake recently and it had really yummy banana flavor with crunchy crumbs inside. The new limited time only items are always quite good! But we got parking right away since we came a little early. It's paid parking. So make sure you know your license plate. Upon arrival... Pros 1) they had a few different games in there to keep you entertained while waiting. 2) there were kiosks to order your own foods or you can go up to the cashier and order there too. 3) menus were nice and large posted on the wall next to self-order kiosks. 4) If you drink alcohol, there is a wine and beer menu. 5) there are seating outside and inside. 6) staffs were nice. 7) Cheese burger was good (i liked the ground beef), the Spicey Korean BBQ Cheese Fries were good, & hotdog was good. 8) they have a counter you can get water. Water tasted good. The ketchup, plastic utensils and napkins were on the same counter. 9) there was a little, cute art wall where people colored or drew something and was hung up. 10) it didn't take too long to get our foods. Cons 1) we tried to find a table to sit inside. 4 tables and all were dirty. So we went and sat outside. The outside table was clean. 2) Conclusion I liked this little burger place. They have a nice menu of selections. Lots of tables to sit indoor or outdoor. Foods were all good. I liked how the bun on the cheeseburger wasn't just all bread. It was a good blend. First time trying Shake Shack through Doordash, and it was OKAY. For now, that is..... I ordered two chickens sandwiches, a milkshake, and chocolate frozen custard. The chicken sandwiches are nothing to scream or write about in my opinion, I mean, it was hot and fresh, but there just wasn't any taste or flavor for me. I had to add my own sauces to make it taste worthy. And I had ordered a plain chicken shack for my brother, and for me, I ordered a chicken shack, and I added tomatoes, onions, and Shack Sauce. And it was just OKAY. Now that don't get me wrong, the frozen custard was SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD! It was THICK and CREAMY! You can totally tell the difference between that versus regular ice cream and frozen yogurt. It was thick and delicious. It took me a couple of days to eat that double scoop. But it was so worth it! The reason for 4 stars is because the food was hot and fresh, packaged well, and the frozen custard was just AMAZING!
