I used to depend on them for my moves but the last two times I've been burned. One of the guys in each crew didn't speak English and consequently loaded things in the pod that were not meant for the pod. (The boxes that were loaded were clearly marked No and I informed all 3 of the crew to not load them) Because I was alone and helping the main guy inside the facility I did not realize what was happening until the next day when the pod had been picked up. This has caused a huge problem with the moves. I've yet to open the pods after the transport so I will follow up on how well they were packed. read more

I was given a window to be moved between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm no one has called to give an ETA. I called the customer service line they were closed for training. They left a number for ER which isn't a working number. I'm very disappointed with the level of customer service. Firehouse Movers were great at moving most of my stuff and with good time. However, they broke a door on my handmade dresser. The movers blamed me for how I had it held together. I thought they were the professionals. The movers did not report it to their company. I think if an accident like this happens, they should report it to your bosses. Used Firehouse Movers to move my daughters household goods from an apartment into storage. It wasn't a complicated job, but they were very professional from start to finish. They gave us a reasonable estimate based on the amount of stuff being moved, and kept in contact up to the day of the move. The crew arrived with sufficient manpower and supplies to handle the job, and took great care with her stuff. If I were to give them a "note", it would be that as the second move of the day we could've used more updates on when our movers might arrive. I contracted with Firehouse Movers to move me from my townhouse in Lewisville, Texas to a home in Princeton, Texas. I went over my inventory several times with the representative and received what seemed to be a very fair quote for my move in June. Unfortunately, a series of events resulted in my move taking much longer and costing much more than originally agreed. I ended up calling in assistance from several personal friends with trucks to complete my move, since they did not. Needless to say, I was very unimpressed. I called the company on the day of the move and explained my frustration and was told that there was nothing they could do. I put up a negative review on the company website, Yelp & the Better Business Bureau. A couple of weeks later I spoke with a very nice representative of the Firehouse Movers who agreed to refund part of my excess charges. The company did come through with a partial refund to make the situation right. It was a frustrating situation, but they did make an effort to do the right thing. I appreciate that they did take the time to speak with me and consider the extenuating circumstances. read more

This was my first time using movers but I had heard Firehouse Movers were the ones to use. Tyler, Dolly, and Bryce were amazing!! They were polite, professional, considerate, and very efficient. They cleared my apartment out quickly, disassembled furniture, and made sure everything was protected during the move. They even got to my new place before I did, must've found a better route...lol. I really appreciated their consideration of making sure everything was in a good spot. My dresser was sticking out a bit and made sure I was okay with the placement. When I decided to move it and use it as a TV stand instead, they quickly removed the mirror they had just put back on (sorry guys!) and moved it accordingly. I was nervous about getting the bigger pieces of furniture up to the third floor of my townhome since previous delivery guys had trouble getting things up the narrow parts of the stairwell. They made it look easy! They were careful not to hit anything in the house and moved so quickly. Working in the mortgage industry, I hear homeowners' moving horror stories all the time. I'm glad to say I had the opposite experience! This is the biggest move I've completed, yet also the easiest thanks to them. They went above and beyond, even helping me assemble something that had just been delivered. I highly recommend Firehouse to anyone looking to find high quality movers. I could go on and on about how pleased I am with my experience...Long story short-- booking with Firehouse was such an easy process and ultimately I ended up paying a little less than what I was originally quoted due to their efficiency. Even when unloading the truck at the new house, they took precautions to ensure that nothing would damage our hardwood floors. I selected Firehouse movers as a recommendation from a friend. Three man crew moved me from my apartment to my rent house today. 99° outside. These men showed up with the focus of quickly moving me. They had my apartment packed in the truck in less than 25 minutes which included washer and dryer and a kayak. 26 items in total. An hour and a half later we were finished. These guys were focused on working as quickly as possible and no goofing off. No damage to any of my furniture. From the start, everything was explained upfront and clearly before the move started. Movers were fast and efficient. Everything was fairly good except the condition of a few things after storage at their facility. Couch was dented in several areas most likely due to something stacked on top of arm rests causing it to wrinkle and deflate. Lamp is broken and cant use it anymore due to someone unscrewing it improperly and damaging the threading. When they moved stuff in, some walls were bumped into and dented.Very unfortunate because they were recommended to me by several people. read more

They called 45 minutes in advance of arriving and sent a text an hour after the move was completed to make sure that we were satisfied with their service (a personal message, not automatic). I would give Firehouse Movers 5 stars if they weren't 45-an hour late for our scheduled start time. We were expecting them at 7am-7:15am. If they had told us the 8am start time, we could have gotten a little more sleep that morning and planned our workdays to start a bit later. Even with being late, the movers were great! As a veteran, I selected Firehouse Movers as I wanted to support their cause. I wanted to be supportive after reading Brian and Nikki's backstory and Philiosophy; and I felt like I had used them before. However, my experience the last two days have been concerning. I have a move scheduled tomorrow, and will move again in six months. The greater issue is I do not know what time they are showing up as they do not give estimates. So, I have decided to take off the entire day so I can be ready for the 30-45 minute window when they are on their way as instructed. I considered two other companies that were cheaper, but I decided to pay more due to the reviews, history, and my perceived previous experience. The other companies gave me an estimate when they would arrive, but I was not aware Firehouse Movers does not give estimates as I have been told in text and over the phone. I was not aware until after paying for the initial deposit; which is non refundable within 48 hours. Although, I attempted to cancel Tuesday at 1:45pm; I was told I could not as it's a 48 hour notice (although there is no estimate given for arrival). The day before (today), I asked if they could give me a 2 or 3 hour window so I can plan my day; however, they would not. I will try again in the morning, the day of the move; as suggested. Time is money, and the cost to use Firehouse seems greater than the initial estimate. Although, we are off on the wrong footing, I'm hopeful for a smooth move and I will also document on YouTube regarding my experience. (Will update my review after the move.)
