I had an extremely disappointing experience at Firehouse Subs located at 2425 N Salida St, Aurora, Co 80011, today, on October 15, 2023. I visited the establishment at approximately 4:05 p.m., hoping for a pleasant meal, but instead, I encountered a series of unprofessional and unfriendly actions that left me thoroughly dissatisfied. Upon receiving my order, I quickly realized that the sandwich I had been served was incorrect. When I politely informed the employee about the mistake, I was met with a shocking lack of customer service. The employee not only displayed a negative attitude but also handled the situation in a manner that was completely unprofessional. To my disbelief, she abruptly snatched the sandwich from my hands and carelessly threw it into the trash, making me feel as though I was inconveniencing her. She then proceeded to prepare a replacement sandwich in a hurried manner, neglecting even the basic standards of food preparation. Rather than allowing the meat to steam properly in the steamer, she rushed through the process, compromising the quality of the food. What added to the unpleasant experience was the outright disrespect I received from a possible friend of the employee in the restaurant, who made an unsolicited comment that "those can be made at home." That was incited by the employees lack of customer service. The overall atmosphere of this Firehouse Subs location was, without a doubt, hostile and unfriendly. My experience was marred by the staff's unprofessional behavior, which left me with a feeling of regret for choosing to dine at this establishment. In light of the discourteous treatment and subpar service I received during my visit, I strongly discourage anyone from considering this particular Firehouse Subs as their dining option. We were at a softball tournament last week in Aurora and went to Firehouse Substo get sandwiches. We got there about 10 minutes before they opened and they were so nice, they just opened the doors and let us in...no problem. I ordered 5 different sandwiches because I didn't know what everyone would want, the staff was so accomodating, they cut them in thirds and wrapped them all individually for us. I've always loved pastrami sandwiches so was excited to see the "NY Steamer Sub", which is pastrami and corned beef. I ordered it with yellow mustard and it was SO TASTY! The meat was juicy and the meat was warm and gooey. My co-worker had the Italian and she loved it, I'm not a big fan of ham.....but I think you can subsitute meats. Overall, great experience. I tried Firehouse Subs for the first time on my way home from the airport. The decor is really cute with a "firehouse theme". I ordered the "Steamer", the cashier was really nice in that she offered to add a bunch of stuff on my sandwich that normally does not come on it. Her suggestions made it that much more delicious!
