Though Firehouse Subs is a national chain, they actually manage to put together some pretty decent sandwiches. Think of them as a much nicer Subway, with higher quality meats and cheeses. And as their name alludes to, sandwiches are served warm with a selection of over 20 hot sauces. I've visited locations in other states so I'm happy to see one close to home! My problem with this location is that they are comically slow. I've been there on several occasions and have averaged about a 5 -10 minute wait for my sandwich. On my most recent visit, I was the only person there and STILL had a substantial wait. I ordered, looked at the chip selection, took my toddler to the restroom and when I returned to the counter they had not even started on my sandwich. Once they work their timing out, they should be good to go, but for now, I would avoid them if you are in a rush. read more

I live in Glenn Heights and must have missed any advertising that might have been done in my area as I didn't know that Cedar Hill had a Firehouse Subs now. I ordered the Steak and Cheese on white bread with grilled peppers and onions, deli mustard and mayo with salt and pepper. The meat was well seasoned, perhaps a little chewy, and the peppers and onions were good. So was the bread. I would leave off the mayo, though, it obliterated the taste of any provolone cheese. I went in the location in Cedar Hill. It was nasty, the floor dirty, the soda machine, nasty and sticky with paper Ms trash near it. It was out of ice. Which I image would be unsanitary if it had been working. Me female staff in particular was complaining about the working conditions and not being run out of her job. It was very unprofessional and rowdy. The guys preparing the food ignored her rant and kept things moving. There were also a lot of people in the restaurant supposedly working so I could not understand why it was so nasty and unkept. Be careful if you eat there. read more

First visit to a firehouse subs. Purchased three medium combos for over $38 dollars. I personally had the steak and cheese. Let me just say that it was the worst steak and cheese I have ever had. Current Review: 1-Star - My review from a short time ago is a total change. The sandwich I've ordered maybe 30 times is no longer an option (Turkey Cranberry). My wife just stopped by to pick me up one, called and said they no longer have cranberry. Disappointing! They have other sandwiches, just like their five nearby competitors. I know this is a corporate change, but, for me, nothing now to bring me back. That sandwich was my favorite. I'll miss the excellent staff, but food is why I went there. My man loves this freaking place. I'm not really a sub person myself but I've tasted his and I must say that they are pretty darn good. We always call ahead and the subs are always ready by the time we arrive and the staff is pretty friendly. I'm knocking off 1 star because I personally feel that $10 for one sub is a bit pricey. Customer service here is lacking in every way. Manager was rude taking my order, not nice at all, might as well have knocked me and someone else out of the way with two buckets of ice when he went to fill the machine when he could have simply said excuse me and we would have known to get out the way. Rude comments from workers behind the counter because they weren't announcing loud enough for anyone to hear them. Without a doubt one of the finest tasting sub sandwich I have ever had. Everything was just right; the bread, the coleslaw, the dressing all came together to creat a delightful meal. I ordered a sandwich off grubhub from here, and while it took them over 30 minutes to make the Veggie sandwich I ordered, causing the delivery to take an hour +, they managed to get my order wrong in two ways. I was charged for the additional mushrooms on my sandwich, which were not actually to be found on the sandwich. I also requested no mayo, and both top and bottom of my sandwich were generously slathered in mayo. I will not be getting food from here again. It is not hard to follow simple instructions when making a veggie sandwich. DO NOT ORDER FROM UBER EATS I have had repeated issue with Uber Eats and Firehouse Subs. I have placed several orders that have been cancelled without notice or warning. The last incident happened today. I ordered two subs, saw that the orders when through and viewed the orders through the Uber Eats app. I received a message from the app stating that my food was arriving and i should go to greet the delivery driver. I went to the door and the order never arrived. The driver did not contact me. I contacted Firehouse Subs and was not able to received any help at all. They told me that it was not their fault. Not Their Fault? Firehouse Subs is in a partnership with Uber Eats. I am not ordering a meal from Uber Eats I am ordering from Firehouse Subs. If the deliver driver can not complete the job it is not only Uber Eats fault it is also Firehouse Subs fault. I have been supporter of this business and their mission. I hate when I'm late to the party! I can only blame myself though because I've passed by FH Subs on many occasions and never went in to order. Well today I did..... Why nobody told me FH Subs was like the Chick Fil A of sandwiches making Subway the McDonalds? First of all, the service at this location was top notch. I was greeted upon entry and my questions were answered professionally, and also cheerfully. From the cashier to the cook everyone was very pleasant. Justin even added a side of sweet and spicy sauce to my meatball sandwich so I could try it next time. (Apparently he overheard me asking about it at the register). It was a very kind gesture which shows they care about their customer's satisfaction which is a big plus to me. Anyway, I'm glad he did cause that sauce was bomb! The sandwich without it was great don't get me wrong but that made it next level and gave it a taste I'm sure I'll crave one day in the not so distant future. I went into firehouse subs tonight 12/1/2018 after a long day of work and a little Christmas shopping to grab a bite to eat. It was a little crowded but I must say the staff was awesome! They greeted me as I walked inside and Armond even offered assistance with my purchase. I must say my sandwich was worth every penny and the wait. Trezore delivered my sandwich to the table with a smile and made sure I had everything I needed. I decided to order another sandwich for my friend, Deja assisted me on that transaction and was very friendly and helpful. They gave me the wrong sandwich and by the time I realized what happened it was too late. We called and they explained they already found out and apologized.
