Do we ordered food tonight and waited an hour. I know that the restaurant isn't responsible for the delivery service. However we ordered from the firehouse web site through yelp. Didn't have any way of knowing which delivery company was handling it. GrubHub turned out to be the one. I called the store after an hour to try and straighten it out and they were polite but made it clear it wasn't their problem. My wife called about a half hour later they laughed at her and then got mad when she yelled at them for laughing. Apparently even the manager participated in laughing. We won't support this store any longer. But that probably won't be an issue. Judging by all the negative reviews, they won't be open too long. Maybe a Jersey Mike's will replace them?! read more

This place is so fun, with a 1950's theme decorations, classic cars and motorcycles and Rock and Roll music. We went for the "build your own burger" for lunch and everything was fresh and so delicious. Our server JACK was wonderful, with an upbeat and fun demeanor, great smile and smart conversation as a bonus. This place is cozy and has a relaxing vibe, not rushy and hectic like some restaurants. I made an account just so I could let someone out there know what happened. First off, let me say I've been dying for some Firehouse, so when I got in today I was ready. There was one skinny guy that looked to be running the register, a bigger guy making the tasty treats, and a young guy that looked to be in training. They seemed busy, so I read the whole menu and carefully debated. A few minutes went by with me at the register and no one payed me any mention. I tried to be patient and let them catch up, but after 10 minutes without a worker even looking my direction or acknowledging my existence, I left and went to Jimmy John's right up the street. This was my go to sandwich place until today's order. There toaster was broken which happens but the food quality was horrendous. hardly any meat on the sandwich. Meat was also tough. So initially I may have given the review at least 4 stars because the other sandwiches that we ordered were all made nicely, however the experience that followed brought my personal opinion of the establishment a tad bit of distaste. We ordered a Firehouse Steak & Cheese, which was just a basic cheesesteak sandwich, nothing fancy. We also ordered a Firehouse Meatball & a Kids combo with the same. Again, just a regular meatball sub, nothing fancy. Then we also ordered on a recommendation, the Reuben Reinvented. Here is where the problem came into play. I took one bit of the sandwich and was dissatisfied. It taste nothing like a Reuben, the slaw replaced sauerkraut & does not have the sweet and tangy taste that it boasts, and the thousand island "sauce" was all but thousand island. I went back to the counter with my 8" sandwich missing one bite and told the young lady of my dissatisfaction ... and she replied "okay hold on a minute," then went in back. She returned with the Assistant Manager Devin, who asked me, and I quote, "soooo do you want to buy another sandwich because we can't just give out free sandwiches." Now, I'm no genius or anything, but I thought I just paid almost $40 for a meal including the sandwich that I was extremely unhappy with, which means that I wasn't getting anything for "free." Long story short, I purchased another sandwich, a SteakHouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket ... and requested a to-go box for the waste of sandwich I wasn't going to eat. Poor customer service puts a horrible tastes in my mouth so I didn't wind up eating the second sandwich I purchased, but I figure I can gift it to someone one the way home. My friend and I went to the fire house subs on Austin Bluffs. She had one hour in which to eat lunch and get back to work. We put in our order at five minutes after 12 and we were still waiting at 20 minutes after 12 when we checked on our order, they said that they had made it but someone else had grabbed it. There were three women doing the work and they were very snarky at 12:40. We finally received our order and had 20 minutes to get back to work, the women were very snotty and I was very upset with their attitudes. I would not go back to this fire house subs ever I don't even give it one star. This was on Tuesday, January 10. This needs to be solved by fire house subs who I enjoyed on North Academy, but I will never come back to this one again. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Firehouse Subs and this location in particular. I have never been disappointed. The staff is young, but quick and friendly, and they get your order right. If a mistake is ever made, they bend over backwards to fix it and make sure you receive more than you expected. Only ate there once. Got it to go. We really enjoyed our sandwiches. We went for some special with Ruben and Corned Beef and melted cheese. Yummy! The bread was key also. It was nice and crusty but moist inside. Ordered online and it was ready right when I got there. It was hot, an easy process, staff was nice, and no issues. We were craving a sort of East coast type of sandwich. This fit the requirements. Not a huge sandwich but big enough. They are never as big as they once were as I recall them. Still, fresh hot steamed meat on a good (I believe) fresh locally baked bread = a good experience. No complaints but I can't review much more than the 2 sandwiches we got on one time. If they delivered (I get lazy once I am settled in at home), I would order much more often. We order from GrubHub from here a lot. It's a great go-to where we know the subs will be amazing and they never get the order wrong. So much meat and the veggies are crisp and fresh. Even when their bread toaster wasn't working they were courteous enough to call and ask if we still wanted the order (instead of depending on GrubHub to call) then threw in chips for free. My only negative here is GrubHub doesn't have the menu up to date (no small subs offered and chips are not accurate) so sometimes I just have to go in instead of ordering to go. But when I have to go in everyone is professional and courteous and will crack jokes with me while I'm waiting which I love. read more

I had never been to Firehouse Subs before today. I called in my order and the girl on the phone spoke so fast and kept talking over me , I wasn't even sure if she got my order right. Wouldn't know because nothing was read back to me and I had no idea when it would be ready because she said "ok we'll get that to ya!" And then promptly hung up. Ok...I guess....? So then I go in. Kinda cool since its right around the corner from my work. THAT is the highlight of the review- it was 2 miles from my work. I go in and am greeted I said that I had called in an order and an employee calls out from across the counter and says "oh your order is over there". I had no idea what over there meant. I stood there, clearly not knowing where to go and finally another employee showed me where. I then asked about my drinks and was told "the cups are right there". I ordered 3 medium drinks, and there were at least 7 to 8 different empty cups of various sizes. Again, the poor nice young man had to help me because the girl who originally "helped" me was too busy talking to her coworkers while they made sandwiches. Then I tried to get ice. Think I got any? One cube. By now I was so over this place...long story short I had to make two trips to my car because the drink carriers kept ripping each time untried putting a soda in its holder. I like a good sandwich. Alas, like men, a good sandwich is hard to find, especially in Colorado. This place specializes in hot subs..very thematic. Friendly staff (franchise owners, maybe?). Dude recommended numbers 4, 5, and 10 and I'm glad I listened. Choice of chips or sweets with a combo was a freedom I liked, along with the fancy flavored Coke beverage machine. Ok Firehouse, you are being knocked down to 3 stars...why? Because the crew you have working evenings are the slowest people I have ever seen. Last time we went in we waited 20 minutes, asked how much longer and Denise said at least 3-4 more minutes. This is a sub shop not a steak house. It should not take 30 mins to make two sandwiches. They did not give us any hassle when we asked for our money back, but they didn't apologize either. I will not come back in the evening until they get a night crew worth a damn.
