We used to order from Fat Shack through DoorDash all the time, but over time the quality seemed to decline, so we eventually stopped. Tonight, my husband and I decided to give them another chance. He ordered three Fried Oreos, and I went with the chicken and fries, plus extra honey mustard. The order arrived quickly, which I appreciated, and my husband said his Oreos were good. Unfortunately, my chicken was quite dry and tough, and the fries tasted like leftovers from an earlier batch -- not hot or crispy. Since we live only 1.6 miles away, I don't think the delivery distance was to blame. Disappointingly, the honey mustard ended up being the best part of my meal. I'm glad we gave Fat Shack another try, but sadly, we won't be ordering again anytime soon. read more

We ate here for lunch, on a total whim after shopping - delicious and affordable wings/chicken. I had the lemon pepper wings and garlic parm wings, my fiancée had the lunch special (a must try!). Service was very fast! Put in an online order to-go and it was ready within minutes. The Philly cheesesteak and cheese fries really hit the spot. They were hot, cheesy, and perfectly cooked. I would definitely order this again. The chicken strips were nothing spectacular. They tasted like something straight out of a frozen bag that had been heated to a crisp. The Gorbie sandwich was a soggy mess. The lettuce was wilted and bread was so soggy to a point where the sandwich was falling apart before we even started eating it. Their ice machine wasn't working so we were forced to get iceless fountain drinks. Although they had a fridge full of cold bottled sodas, those weren't even offered to us in lieu of having no ice for our fountain drinks. Facility isn't spectacular either-- floor is sticky, booths are worn down, and it doesn't seem welcoming enough to dine in. To-go service was very good overall. Literally 1/4 the meat of a wing you can get from Wing Stop, King Soopers (which is next door) Buffalo Wild Wings and every other place that serves wings. Fat Schack? More like anorexic shack. I do not know what it's like working there but never have I been treated respectfully. Maybe it's a generational thing. We have heard of this new place (good advertising) and were curious and had to check it out. It's a clever menu for sure. Not healthy at all but no one was expecting that! They have burgers, sandwiches, cheesesteaks, wings and chicken fingers. They have deep fried desserts which are fun- Oreos, Rice Krispie treats, cookies, twinkies, etc. There is limited seating (one booth is broken) and the floor seemed sticky like other reviewers commented, and it didn't feel the cleanest. There was loud 90's rock playing which was kind of fun and kind of distracting. We didn't feel like we fit in or like we are the target audience but that's ok- they are open and deliver until 3 am and the art on the walls seemed like psychedelic punk tattoos. But the people working were friendly and helpful; my husband got a kick out of the enthusiastic young guy who took our order. We got fried pickles (we get them whenever they are on a menu!) and they were good- pretty sure they were frozen, but they weren't too hot inside and didn't fall apart when you bit into them- both things that happen frequently with fried pickles elsewhere. I got chicken fingers and fries- I didn't care for either. The chicken fingers are the standard frozen ones you find many places but I liked the honey mustard sauce they came with. The fries are thicker and kind of soggy- not my favorite but I'm glad I tried them. I didn't see salt anywhere- no shakers on the table (just ketchup) or at the counter- I'm sure if I asked they would have provided some. My husband got the Fat Donkey Lips sandwich partly because of the name ;). It's chicken fingers, fries, lettuce, tomato, buffalo sauce and bleu cheese on a roll. He liked it quite a bit and said it had good flavor. We ordered 3 deep fried chocolate chip cookies too- this was my favorite. They came in a paper bag with powdered sugar that you could shake them in. We liked them a lot- kind of like a donut surrounding a Chips Ahoy cookie. Yummy! My husband just picked up food from Fat Shack. He said that was the best burger he has ever had in Colorado. He had the cheese fries too and loved them. I snuck one and I have to say that was the best damn fry I ever had. He went late and said the staff were "cool," which means they were friendly and fun. He said the presentation was great. It was just ok. We ordered here while the wife was craving a McRib. Tired of fast food and wanting to try something else I decided to order from the near by Fat Shack while waiting in line for what is supposed to be "fast food." I ordered for myself, and two kids. A cheese burger, order of wings, and Buffalo cheese steak sandwich. First the good, the kid loved his wings! He said we can order from this place again. High praise from a picky eater. The oldest questioned his burger. Said it tasted more like stake then the actual burger. Both his mother and I tasted it and told him he was crazy. The burger was actually great per the mother and father. However, I did request that it didn't include their sauce but only ketchup. The burger did have their sauce on it. I ordered the Buffalo sandwich. Great meal and very tasty. However, very messy and trying to get the secondary rapping off the sandwich with no napkins was not a plus. Staff was one, although someone else took our order. The "staff" was polite and helpful. Food was good but I just don't see us coming back. I love fat shack, love their food. But I only come at night time since the morning staff is very rude. I also deliver for uber eats and fat shack is a very popular with uber eats in the Colorado Springs area. I've never had a problem till today. I was picking up for a customer and one of the staff members yelled at me and told me I needed a heated bag to pick up the food. I called uber and they said it wasn't necessary to have a bag but if I WANTED TOO, I could buy one. The man in the photo then called his manager and the manager said to buy me an insulated bag. He started cussing in front of me and other customers saying it was bullshit. Very unprofessional. The philly meat was plentiful, but I had to add salt and pepper, as it didn't have much flavor. Bread was mushy and flavorless. My inner fat kid did a detour right into the parking lot. He grabbed the wheels so hard we almost crashed. He described the golden Philly it's on the secret menu for this location. It's a Philly cheesesteak with the peppers and onions and they add golden barbecue sauce. If you're spicy fan they offer jalapenos. Of course I got it spicy. Cattleman's golden BBQ is a sweet and tangy mustard and apple cider vinegar sauce with a hint of heat. I don't like mustard barbecue but this was amazing. So normally I take pictures of my food but this was a messy delicious sub and it pictures wouldn't have done it justice. This thing was loaded! I licked wrapping the paper clean. One bite in I had to get my brother to try this. Same verdict, delicious, sweet, spicy heat. If you eat ghost chilies like we do this is a mild. Kicking myself because I didn't get cheesecake bites and Oreo bites. Opted for the cheese fries. They was swimming in Golden cheese. If you like cheesy cheese fries these are for you. Gonna have to figure out a way to include this in meal prep. Went back just to tell him how amazing it was. Took the kid with me so we could convince her dad to get this the next time we get takeout. I ate here once, so I only tried a few items, but the sandwich, although it sounded good, was just a bread roll packed chicken tenders and fries, and a bunch of other stuff. It turned out to not be very appetizing. I ate half and gave the other half away, something I NEVER do. Pro Tip: Don't order from this place if you're sober. You probably won't be impressed. Second Pro Tip: Do order from this place if it's late at night and/or you happen to be mildly-highly intoxicated. You'll love this place. It's deep fried heaven. And it's surprisingly decent for what you might expect from a place that doesn't have anything that *isn't* cooked in hot grease. Half the stuff is probably taken directly from the freezer to the deep fryer, sure. But it's surprisingly easy to mess that process up and they haven't really done that in my few (reportedly) drunken encounters. Onion rings are bomb. Fried oreos are bomb. Fat Stimpy & Fat Chance are my go-to's from this place. Cheesesteak is no 'Taste of Philly' but it's better than most other places in town. Fries are very solid. Burgers are surprisingly good too. Holy shit I'm a fatass. This location does a great job. However, that's only if you call in your order and don't interact with the older man who works there. I've placed 10-15 orders via the phone and asked to add extra cheese to my sandwich, not ONCE has an employee charged me for this, even though I've insisted on it. The store then updates how you order and removes the option to add this. So I call, in hopes that someone can understand the situation and help me. I strike out and get the old man, he first let's out a heavy sigh into the phone when I ask him for help with my order, I apologize for being a pain and he makes something up about how he wasn't exhaling in frustration. I ask him if I can get xtra cheese on my steak, he tells me to cancel my order and order it correctly even though I let him know they removed that option. I get a bunch of attitude and no help.
