Came here after a hot yoga session on a Saturday afternoon. I was contemplating ordering online, but decided to just pop in and order there instead. The lady at the register was telling me how busy it was, but I would've never guessed! The service was amazing! The 2 subs I ordered were done in the short time I took to look around the store. They have a huge selection of deli sandwiches, pizza, grab & go pastas, bakery, as well as pantry staples imported from Italy. I grabbed a tube of garlic paste, some tomato pasta, and hot sausage while I waited. I ordered an Italian combo sub and a pastrami sub they had on the menu. Both had a ton of flavor and were packed with toppings. We saved half of each for the next day, and they honestly tasted even better after marinating in the fridge. I love the Bridgeside market. I just finished eating one of their prepared. Take home lasagna, which was incredible. This afternoon I took a friend of mine and got him a hoagie. It was so delicious, full of delicious big hearty meatballs, and tons of mozzarella and wonderful tomato sauce. It was great! Stopped in and ordered a breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was delicious. It came on a fresh tasty bun with egg cheese and really good sausage. The market has so many items from local companies and is a little Italian market. Some of the items are from Bridge City Brinery, Pittsburgh Pickle Co, Breadworks, and many more. Stopped here for a quick lunch. This place is a cute little Italian market but they have a counter with 6 stools. So we sat and enjoyed our lunch. Hubby had a Reuben I had their version of a steak hoagie. Both were very good. They use Boars's Head meat, and a healthy amount too. We ordered a side of their pasta salad. Everyone is already raving about this spot and for good reason. Outstanding subs and salads, great hot food items and shelves of nice things for home cooking of pasta. Lots of charm and character and nice decor, and friendly staff at the counter. My only concern is that I wish they could be open more often, for more of the day. Even though they sell other items off the shelf, if you don't order a sandwich from behind the counter it is hard to get waited on. My husband (who is handicapped) wanted to go in the market to grab something for lunch. He picked out tomato sauce, popcorn and banana bread. I stood in line but the cashier kept calling up people who ordered sandwiches or something from behind the deli counter. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I decided to put the items back on the shelf and left. Nice little deli off the beaten path of Beaver St. Purchased some Italian meats & cheese which the hubby loved. Also got some Breadworks sliced bread, canoli & rice pudding. This might be the best breakfast sandwich anywhere in Pittsburgh. Super delicious fresh eggs, super high-quality meat, all on an awesome Breadworks kaiser roll. I am totally cooked to order and extremely well put together. Everything was done and ready in under five minutes, and they clearly take pride in every little detail no matter how insignificant. I'm at the store itself definitely says that as well. Lots of amazing imported products, mostly Italian origin and some amaretto cookies that I haven't seen elsewhere. It's a full on Deli beyond breakfast, tons of really good sandwich options and really high-quality boars head meat and cheeses. They also have premade deli items like potato salad macaroni salad etc. The freezer case has some really interesting options with frozen fresh pasta, drink options and some grocery basics if you're in a pinch. Pro tip, get a muffin -you'll thank me. The nice thing is that everything is affordable. My breakfast sandwich a muffin and a Turner's chocolate milk was under eight dollars. read more

First the people here were super nice, so I really wanted to give a more glowing review. But I had the California Love sandwich and it was just OK. Not bad, but nothing spectacular. I also had a dessert cake roll-up. Again, it was beautiful, but just so-so. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely give it another try, because everything looks so good. Hopefully other items on the menu are better than the two I had. Certainly looks like others have had better luck. read more
