The Thanksgiving Turkey Sub is delicious and a must try. The Thanksgiving Turkey is as good as the one at Earls.

Stopped here for lunch around 1 o'clock today. The parking lot is fairly poor. This is shared with different businesses and there's random exits and it seems like was put in almost as an afterthought. That's nothing against Firehouse, as it probably wasn't their choice, just an FYI. As for Firehouse, this was one of my first trips to this franchise and it seemed to take a while to get our food. Now, I don't think they claim it's "Freaky Fast" like some others, but again, just an FYI. The sandwich was good. I got their club and it was pretty good. Horrible, if I could rate a 0, I would. We ordered through Doordash; we received the order & it was not at all what we expected. 1st of all, we were missing a sub that we had ordered, the Club sub, we had ordered a large soup, received a cup ( for $8!!!), & the garlic bread we ordered, was not even cooked, or had anything on it; it was just a piece of bread, that was cut in half. I couldn't believe all the errors in 1 single order. I called, as I was pretty ticked off, the manager on duty was just as ridiculous as the food we received. He did not identify himself, sounded half dead, & actually said to me, " what do you want me to do, a refund or what." No apology on the original order , I had also complained as the steak sub had hardly any meat in it...obviously he was preoccupied while on the phone with me, as he only offered to replace the steak sub, after asking me again what was wrong with the order. I cannot believe how they could mess up such an easy order, & cannot believe the reaction, or non reaction of the manager on duty. I called their corporate office I was THAT disappointed, not only in the food, but by the managers total attitude about the whole experience. We shall see if I even get a response from not only the owner, but their corporate office as well. Maybe that manager on duty that day, needs to find a job without customer service involved...all in all, very disappointed in the food, service, & manager attitude. read more

As far as sandwich places go, this is one of the best. First of all, they're delicious. No skimping on meat or toppings and a good size for the price. I really like that they make it easy to donate to their public safety foundation by rounding to the nearest dollar of you choose. The other reviews talk about slow or disorganized service, but by now they seem to have gotten everything figured out. We were served within 5 minutes of ordering. I bought a reg. Turkey breast sub on wheat. Got home and there was no meat in the sub. I called them, and complained I was told to come back. I live on the south side of Janesville. Well I went back. They tried to make things right. They threw my sub away, and made a larger one. Also gave me a coupon for a free sub. This happened in February 2020 I let it go at that. July 11, 2020 My grandson bought his daughter a grilled cheese sandwich. He didn't check to see if it was ok. Well came to our house, opened up the box........OMG it was grilled only on one side. The cheese wasn't even melted. They had plans, so didn't have time to take it back. I should have taken it back to you guys. We will never eat there. I wonder how many people this has happened too. Love the food. Placed an order at 410 to be picked up at 535, got there on time. Sandwiches were all cold and bread mushy. Seems like they made it as soon as I ordered it and just let it sit till I got there. Very unprofessional. Unfortunate. Also, ordered online and asked for curb side pick up, no parking spots or signage for curbside pickup. Went inside to pick up order. read more

I give some relief because they are a new store , but you have 8 people working and are taking about 10 minutes per sandwich. We start by waiting in line with a customer talking to manager about how the person who ordered after him had already gotten their food, ate, and left. We order and you can tell girl at the register is talking a mile a minute in a panic. We sat down to eat and of the three of us, each finished eating before the next got their food. People standing and sitting waiting. I ordered a #1 hook and ladder , nothing special at all. Meat was warm and that's it. Corners of bread were barely toasted. As another reviewer stated...they are new in town. SO WHAT!! If you can't train people to provide the best service and food from the start, then there's the problem. Food was ok, but I could have gone to 3 other sub places and placed my order and eaten a sub that was just as good or better...IN THE TIME IT TOOK ME TO GET MY ORDER. Not a good first impression, or last impression as it was for me. I mean where shall I start my rant. I'll start here. Right here..cmon now, 15-20 minutes for food are you kidding me. The food had average meat, bad cheese, heck I'd take 3 week old cheese over what I had. Next my Mayo was nonexistent and the lettuce was darn near the worst part. Great food. I always get the hook and ladder, it's a nice change for the usual subway. The wait is a little longer but it's worth it.

I love the subs. Great flavor. They are still working out kinks in new store (sometimes they forget an ingredient), but it has progressively gotten better each time I have gone. Speed of making the subs could improve- but probably still because the store is still new. read more

Delicious and different. after three visits and tastes of six different sandwiches I feel confident that you will find several "favorites". service was friendly and accurate...but not fast...I suggest you order online or call ahead. my personal favorite is the Italian but my friend chose the luscious hook and ladder. All sub's come wrapped in a really unique roll, topped with your choice of various meats , vegetables and condiments. Nice change of pace. read more
