Always a treat to go to A&W. I enjoy the fast food and the root beer! Prices are in line with other eateries. Staff provides good service!

My family goes here a lot and i don't know why. The food is not that good and overpriced. The staff is eh. But we just went there for a birthday, and there was no communication with the staff. Those in our party called a head to make sure we could bring an ice cream cake, they said yes. We got there, no one had a clue. They put the cake away, once we were ready we told our waitress, she had no idea m, the manager didn't even have a clue. My question is with communication that bad, how is this place functioning? No one knows what they're doing. It's only getting 2 stars because the servers did amazing. Only 2 servers in the dining. You really need to hire people read more

We really enjoyed visiting this retro style A&W in Janesville. Our fish sandwiches were good and our waitress was super friendly.

I'm not saying it's bad and I'm not saying it good. I don't know what it is these days. And I wish people would just get there values back but it starts with the employees. This generation of kids just don't care or get it. And if I am not dining in. Don't think you are getting a tip. It's not happening. It's a hamburger for the love of god. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but as of today I'm gonna do better. Customer service is important to me. When my daughter placed an over the phone order, she had to repeat her drink order several times because the clerk repeatedly called back the wrong drink. When she got the order home, only one of the items ordered was in the bag. The rest of it was wrong. When she called them back to let them know, instead of saying sorry, let's fix this, management tried to justify their mistake and pretty much says it's our fault. My daughter is taking the order back, but has to pay for a whole new meal, instead of exchanging it for the foods we can't eat that was placed in the bag with the items we originally ordered. It only takes one incidence of this kind of thing for me to spend my money elsewhere. read more

Not a drive-in now. The sign sats drive-in is open. I have always liked A&W but! My wife and I went there for the drive-in and when they brought out our food and drinks,it was all bagged up and paper cup for the root beer. It does not take that much to wash a tray and a glass,I went there for a frosty mug of root beer and I got so-so carry out. I was no pleased at all. I used to go at least once a week for chili dogs and root beer, I will not go anymore until they are really open and I may try it then. read more

I eat here every so often. I've loved coming here since I was little. True ita nothing amazing but its nostalgic and has gpod food. The service is good and for fast food its good quality I've never had any complaints. If you want a good meal at a low price I recommend this place. read more

Always love going there! The food is amazing and customer service is great. Best cheese curds I've had in a long time and one of the only places in town with a salad bar. Will definitely continue going, and love sitting near the fire when it's chilly outside. read more

This is fast becoming a family favorite! We take our kids here sometimes and we have no complaints!..except maybe lacking on the salad bar but the burgers the breaded mushrooms..and especially the Rootbeer floats more than make up for it. We love this place it really does take you back in time the cheese curds are to die for and so are the mini corn dogs the famous root beer comes on tap in a frosty cup very smooth taste free refills you can also buy a jug to go the service is fast they are cheap and lots on the menu to order from burgers to fish and shrimp to ice cream they also have items for kids like hot dogs grilled cheese and chicken strips they have a salad bar but very small and only a few items to choose from they also have in the parking lot where you can pull up and order they will bring it to you and you can eat in your car read more

Best place for Drive In experience nostalgia. Cheese curds and breaded mushrooms are to die for, Onion rings a hit, Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, ice cream, and don't forget to wash it down with frosty cold mug of root beer. The food itself may honestly only rate 3 stars. It's basic stuff, but the kids love coming here. They prefer the drive-in just because. They love the root beer floats and the yellow cheese curds and are in heaven if I grab a gallon of root beer to go. I like the 21 piece shrimp. Is it the best I've ever had? Nope, but I like the little containers and sitting in the car and for the price, it's pretty darn good - not super crazy about their fries, but they're okay. If we go inside, they like to sit by the fireplace. We've always had good waitstaff, inside or out. It's just a nice and relaxing place to spend some time with my kids. read more

Best root beer around. Food is good. Just a super dirty place. Menus are sticky and have food on them from who knows when. Also napkin holder is disgusting. You can definitely tell cleaning is least priority here which is why we rarely come. read more

So boyfriend and I went to A&W today for lunch. Waited 10 minutes for service. Made eye contact with 3 different waitress. They cleaned the tables around us but never did come to take our order. We just got up and left. Worst service EVER! I would not recommend going there during the weekday afternoons! read more

I ordered a large polar swirl tonight. The girl took a small cup and I pointed to a larger one and said, "That's the one they gave me last night." She said that that had been a mistake, that the one I was asking for was actually an extra large. I had already paid $4.00 plus tax for a large. I asked if I could just pay the difference and get the extra large. This threw the entire crew of teenage girls into a complete meltdown. They scurried around asking each other qurestions, running back into the kitchen to ask somebody back there questions, and then, finally, a teenage girl told me that it would be another FIVE and a half dollars!!! I asked how it could be NINE AND A HALF dollars for a polar swirl, and this young girl, who has always been very nice in the past, got a look like the devil himself on her face and snarled at me, "That's what it costs." I said, "It didn't last night." She almost screamed, "That was a mistake. It costs the same as a quart of ice cream!!" I can't believe that a quart of ice cream costs nine and a half dollars, and I can't believe that a polar swirl does, either. That's what happens when three or four sixteen year old girls are left to run a restaurant. read more
