I'm so disgusted. I ordered a small potato soup, and this is what I got. What even is this?? So gross. I won't be coming back. Also, I waited almost 30 minutes in the drive thru with only one car ahead of me. Ridiculous honestly. I won't be returning. Wish I could give 0 stars.

Fast and somewhat accurate. They will handle your orders quickly and make the big changes correctly. They ignore the small changes you place in the app. They added mushrooms to the meatball sandwich and placed it on wheat bread. They ignored the two sandwiches with added black olives, one with the olives to be served separately. They put too much mayo on everything, so I marked light mayo. Nope, still too much. I don't think they changed it. I think they left off the grilled onions, too. Good - the hook and ladder and adding mushrooms to meatball subs. Bad - not paying attention to the orders and too much mayo. Mediocre - the Hawaiian pulled pork and slaw. It sounded great, but that really suffered from too much mayo.

Quick ordering, very clean. They honored a T-Mobile discount from the app in person although the coupon should have been designed to also work online. The Hook and Ladder sub was only OK, overstuffed with the luncheon meat. The Cajun Chicken sandwich on Wheat Bread was better with a tangy sauce. The salad with chicken was good, with very fresh lettuce. Was in and out pretty quickly.

Food was good. Employees were decently friendly. They made my order wrong and they fixed it with no problem. Lobby was a bit messy but I would recommend this place.

I am not sure why they have poor scores on the food and services. I think the food is great and delicious. The large was definitely enough for me. The cashier Koryn was very friendly and polite. I have never had a issue at this location. I really like how they offer free drinks to all First Responders. They also let you round your purchase up to the nearest dollar and donate that money to local First Responders. I also like all the decorations they have are Fire Service. The city of La Porte does not have a lot of choices when it came to restaurants and I am really glad the Fire House Sub opened up this location here. I would definitely recommend this location and Firehouse Subs to others. That is why I gave them a five star. Keep up the great work and services.

I don't know what poor scores is about but the food was great. I got the New York Steamer sub and it was delicious! The large was definitely not large enough for me but an additional sub would solve that problem. I will be back soon, probably so much that I'll get sick of it but for the next month I'm going hard. read more

I have tried this place on three separate occasions. I would rate them a meh!! Nothing special here and expensive. I would go with a cheaper option of Subway or if you want a better sandwich go to Jimmy Johns. Sweet tea was unavailable, honestly the only reason I tried coming back. read more

This review is for the service NOT the quality of food. I visited Firehouse during rush hour (lunch) on 6/20/2018 between 12:00 - 1:00PM. I ordered a small hook and ladder with chips and drink. After 23 minutes I decided to go in and ask for a refund. The person responsible for the refund, not going to call her manager because clearly she can't manage, starts out by asking me "have you eaten your chips?" which I reply "no." Then she follows up with, "What about your drink, you want to keep your drink?" keep in mind I was waiting 25+ minutes at this point so my drink was watered down. So I finally figured out what she was doing. She only wanted to refund me for the sandwich (LOLing in retrospect). So at this point I said "here is my drink if you really want it." It was sweaty and watered down as stated before. So I followed that up with "don't you think after spending half an hour waiting, letting the customer keep the drink is the least you can do?" That's normal practice. To which she replied, "We have weird policies." Not that I wanted to keep the drink, I surrendered it willingly. It was just very unprofessional. If you're the owner of this business, it is time to start looking into your staff. I saw lots of people waiting and they were not happy. My wait time was spent on the tables outdoors. At least 3-4 cars backed out from the drive thru lane. This happened after they had ordered. I was sitting right next to the order system. In short, wasted time, wasted food, inefficient OR understaff personnel. This is constructive criticism and nothing else. I did receive a full refund after all that nonsense. read more

Today was my first and will be my last visit to this business. Complete lack of customer service by its manager Shane. I placed an order just before noon, a few customers in line. Waited to my to-go order to be ready about 5 to 10 minutes. You cannot see how the sandwiches are being prepared since the wall is solid and about shoulder height. One employee from the assembly line called my name and handed my order inside a paper bag containing a covered container. I got to my office about 3-4 miles away and discovered they gave me the wrong sandwich. I immediately called them and the person who took my call placed me on hold for about 3 minutes and told me the manager had instructed her that I should go back and they will give me the correct order. I asked for the manager, he took around 5 minutes before coming to the phone and told me that was the best he could do. I told him that was not good enough since my lunch time was limited plus my inconvenience to drive back to their store would take another 15 to 20 minutes. I was very upset and he told me in a very harsh manner that he would call the police if I went to his place with an "attitude". I told him to call since the attitude was his in not being more customer oriented and put me through more inconvenience instead of offering some other way to make up for their error. At that point I did not want their order and told him to refund my money. He said he would do that if I went by. By the way their subs are not the most competitive in price for this area where we work and live. I have no idea how good they are since I did not even tasted what they gave me. I do not care at this point how good their food may be I will never go back to that shop due to their extremely poor customer service. I told the manager he could benefit from some training in customer service. I wasted more than an hour by a long shot and never got to eat my lunch and he did not seem to care whatsoever. read more

first time there,ordered special sub,meat and cheese only,only one there,after 3 more costumers came in my order still did not come out,ask for my money back,night manager refused,10 more minutes finally got the sub and it was wrong,ask for money back again refused said would only remake sub,did not have another 30 minutes to wait so left,called store and ask for corporate number,heard him say someone find the number so i can give it to this bitch,threw sandwich away was covered in mayo and onions(allergic to onions) which i did not want,came back to phone and said call back tomorrow and would not give my corporate number read more

Established in 1994.

Growing up in a family that is both entrepreneurial and built on more than 200 years of firefighting heritage, it seems we were destined to start Firehouse Subs. Of course we tried other things along the way to our American dream, but everything we experienced on our path led us to Firehouse Subs. Over 20 years after opening the first restaurant, with over 1,100 Firehouse Subs restaurants, we're convinced we're doing a few things right. Turns out, people absolutely love the same things we do - the best meats, cheeses, and toppings we can find. It was a raining pouring day, but we went into this little café and found good food and good service for lunch. They made their own pies, which are delicious for dessert after eating our meal.
