    Empty napkin dispensers

This location is the worst Firehouse I have ever been to. Staff is rude and you wait around for at least 5+ mins at the register before staff even acknowledges you; let alone takes your order. None of the napkin holders had any napkins in them. Staff here desperately need retrained, especially the mouthy female manager.

Amazing, as always. I've only been to the one by my house in California but as i was driving back home i didn't hesitate to stop here as i was looking for something to eat & this was definitely the spot. I ordered the beef cheddar brisket & it took about 7-10 minutes. I got extra pickles because they are amazing pickles. The food was so warm, the cheese was melted perfectly, the bread was toasted nicely but still had that soft bite. It was delicious & I loved every bite of it. Definitely made the ride home easier. I definitely recommend this spot here.

Came here on a week night and despite the place being a bit smoky, we still decided to eat in. The subs were okay and decently priced. Would come back to try other things in the menu. The staff was also excellent!

Not my thing, subs too wet to eat. Overall the store looks good and clean. Service was ok, I recommend it if people like it wet and messy.

One of the things that we really appreciate is the dill pickle spear that we get with each of our sandwich orders. Having that pickle on the side really makes the order feel complete. It's like having a burger and fries or chips and a sandwich. At the deli, you expect the pickle with your sandwich. This was not the case the last time that we ordered food from here. We stopped in on Mother's Day. We ordered our sandwiches. Everything seemed fine. Our sandwich containers got pushed along the line and when they were ready, they called our name. Simple right? No. Not exactly. The cashiers were quick to take our money and we were just as quick to bring our sandwich back, upset and disgruntled. We felt gypped. None of us got pickles. We didn't know why. The hubby was upset! He went to the cashier to complain. He told them that he would like to be refunded his tip, simply for the fact that they never mentioned the fact that there were no pickles available today. He was not asking for a refund on his sandwich. He just thought that they could've pasted a bit better discretion and making sure that all of the customers there knew that there were no available for Sandwiches today. I can't even tell you how upset he was. Like I said, I know it seems like a silly thing, but it's like missing the fries to your burger or the chips to your sandwich. The whole entire sandwich felt incomplete!!! So like I said, a refund for the tip was requested. Instead, the cashier ended up refunding the entire cost of one of the sandwiches. We tried to compromise with the deli, asking that maybe we buy a side of potato salad, but instead because of the problem with the pickle being unavailable, maybe they only charge half of the regular price of that sign. We're trying to upsell ourselves. Not Conley. The cashier didn't say anything. She just had a crunching. She didn't make eye contact. She never said sorry. She just went ahead to refund the cost of no one and that wasn't. Now, granted that was still a good amount, but the whole ordeal really so simple to dissolve. We were really disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm in the cashier trust us. We were also even more upset with the fact that the deli wouldn't let people know ahead of their ordering that there were no pickles. The hubby suggested that maybe they put out a sign saying that there were no pickles available today. One of the employees said, "oh no, we can't do that!!" I have a feeling they were worrying about the pickle situation and announcing it because then people would turn away from the restaurant. But, I understand that. For some people, a pickle is serious business. I know it seems crazy but at the same time. I get it. There's plenty of ample seating in and outside of the deli. It's always fun to sit there with people watch. Sometimes the line at the deli is exceedingly long, but don't be discouraged. Unless of course they're out of pickles, the line moves pretty quickly. Hopefully the next time that we pay this deli a visit, the pickle situation will have been resolved.

Unfortunately, it was not as good as the last time I had it, or the many times before. It has always been like a sweet and sour base. This time the soup was very salty, almost inedible. It was served with bagel chips, which were nice and crunchy. I wish I was super hungry to enjoy one of their sandwiches. I saw them coming out of the kitchen looking delicious. I am reviewing from the perspective of someone who is always on the hunt for a great locally owned coffee shop, as a remote worker and full-time student. Yes, in response to the owner, I am aware that most modern phones offer a hotspot, but my review point is mostly that the location is not condusive to someone looking for a place to work/hang/read while enjoying a usual coffee house experience with wifi, due to it not being offered and the space not being large enough to have room for that customer, AND their deli foot traffic** The coffee was good, and the people-watching ambiance is awesome. I don't love that they don't offer Wi-Fi, but I assume it is so people won't linger, as seating is limited. Would give them another try if they did, as I appreciate being able to multitask and get work done while grabbing a coffee or lunch. Just isn't their vibe. What sets them apart in the Arts District is the front patio, which is not super common. Not in their control are the increased parking rates, and so it's a tough sell if going as a destination, rather than a meandering shopping trip in the vibrant area.
