To be honest, I had never tried Firehouse subs, and just thought they were probably your basic sandwich chain like Subway. Boy was I wrong! This is my new go-to place for subs. Warm and delicious! I have not had a bad sandwich here. Every time I've gone, the sandwich has been absolutely amazing. I like the fact that they steam the meat before putting it on the bread, makes for a very wonderful dining experience. Don't forget to add the hot sauce from the hot sauce bar! The place is neat and clean, and for the most part the employees are very friendly and helpful. One thing to watch out for, if you are ordering a combo and want iced tea, make sure you ask in advance. On two occasions I've gone and they have not had any iced tea so I had to cancel my combo. But that's a small price to pay for an amazing sandwich. I love the fact that they donate money to firefighters, a group of people that really don't get the accolades they deserve! Plus, you can round up your change to help support them as well. Bottom line? This is my new go-to sandwich place. There are a couple others I will visit but this one is by and large my go-to experience. read more

I noticed a lot of negative reviews and unfortunately I have to agree based on my recent visit. The restaurant was smoky inside, which was strange to me, I'm not sure if this was done intentionally. The employee who took my order seemed disengaged and not attentive. I had to repeat my order twice and the interaction felt rushed and unfriendly. Her overall demeanor made it feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. Despite having no dine-in customers, I waited 28 minutes for a single sandwich. During that time, only two people came in for to-go orders. There were multiple employees present, but long stretches where all the employees were in the back of the restaurant. The sandwich itself was just okay. The bread was soft and the sandwich was cold even though it was supposed to be toasted. I'm not sure if they toasted it and then forgot about it? Cleanliness was another major issue. Every table had crumbs or trash on it. The men's bathroom was overflowing and the women's bathroom was out of toilet paper. Barely any meat, and tomatoes were so thin you could literally see through them because there wasn't anything there. Found picking up an app order was more chaotic than it needed to be. I've only been to the one by my house in California but as i was driving back home i didn't hesitate to stop here as i was looking for something to eat & this was definitely the spot. I ordered the beef cheddar brisket & it took about 7-10 minutes. I got extra pickles because they are amazing pickles. The food was so warm, the cheese was melted perfectly, the bread was toasted nicely but still had that soft bite. It was delicious & I loved every bite of it. Definitely made the ride home easier. When my daughter was visiting at the end of March we went in here and spent almost $40 but two of our subs were done incorrectly so after going back back-and-forth in many emails, I got an email from the owner of the store dated April 16 however, I am not always in this area. I was actually out of state for a little over a week visiting family in NY and I got back at the end of April and unfortunately my car got totaled in the Vons parking lot and I've been without a car 9 days too. He actually said the F word to me I said what is going on. This is from your Owner. She emailed me. He's like April 16 that's so long ago. I said there's no expiration date on this email. She didn't say I had to come in in a certain time and he goes. Give me a break you could've came in here within two or three days of April 16 for a remake and then he refused to even check the remake box then he started yelling at me to get the F out again and told me he can refuse service to anyone and he is refusing service to me. I have never seen anything like this in my whole entire life. This manager should not be managing this restaurant. I am never going to this restaurant again, but I do want my refund that was offered to me so I will be writing to corporate and to Michele again to let her know about her manager another thing that he did was when I was walking out I didn't know he was the manager and I said I'd like to see the manager. *I would give 0-ZERO stars if I could* I had an issue with my points that I had accumulated over years of eating at Firehouse. I asked the manager on duty if he could direct me to someone who might be able to help me and answer some questions for me. He replied "that's online thru the app, I have nothing to do with that." I replied saying I know he couldn't directly help me, thats why I as asking if he had a phone number or contact that was responsible for the Las Vegas area so I could as him/her if they would know who I could talk to about my issue. Again the employee responded "I don't have anything to do with that. Look at the app or go to the home webpage and find a contact info there." I didn't bother asking for help a 3rd time because it would've been a futile effort. I tried calling the 1-888 phone number for customer service listed on the home webpage. A recording said to fill out a complaint thru the "contact us" tab, then the call was disconnected. I clicked on the "contact us" tab and it took me back to the home webpage. Apparently if you have a complaint, firehouse gives you the runaround hoping you will eventually give up. I had over 57,000 points saved up and when I went to use some with my order on March 22nd, I was told that ALL of my points had expired as of March 9th. No warning email or text or anything was sent to me. Apparently Firehouse was hoping I wouldn't notice my points expiring so they wouldn't have to give me the 3 free large sandwiches (plus another small or medium) that i had earned thru being a Firehouse customer for over 10 years. Then when I got home my whole family didn't want to complain about their sandwiches tasting bad because they could see how upset I was and they didn't want to make me feel worse by saying there was something wrong with everyone's sandwich. Most of their issues were small and minor and did not prevent them from eating their food. My sandwich on the other hand was totally and completely inedible and after taking 3 bites our of my large smokehouse beef and cheddar, i threw the rest of it in the garbage. The meet literally had the taste and consistency of particle board. Even with it smothered in BBQ sauce with salt and pepper, I literally felt like I was eating a bite taken from a piece of particle board that had been soaking in water for hours so that it was chewable. The meat literally fell apart as soon as I bit into it and crumbled in my mouth. It was quite possibly the most disgusting sandwich I have ever been served in my life. Again, I was unable to complain about all of these issues thru firehouse website because I could not access the "contact us" tab and the phone number for customer feedback hung up on me. And after dealing with the complete and total incompetence and lack of job knowledge the manager on duty showed me, going back to that store (9555 S. Eastern Ave Ste# 130, Las Vegas, NV 89123) would have been a total waste of time. I am unable find my account number on the mobile app. I'm not going to leave my full name, email address and birthday here on yelp because the site is not secure. So if anyone in upper management that works for firehouse wants to contact me, they will have to do it here thru yelp. Regardless if I am contacted or not, I am never going to eat at the same location of South Eastern Ave ever again. Also if someone at Firehouse corporate doesn't want to reinstate and give me back my rewards points that was quietly cancelled and taken from me without any warning, myself and my family will never eat firehouse subs ever again. Had a very disappointing experience today. I ordered ahead of time to ensure I had time to eat before my next meeting. I ordered at 11:39am and it told me it would be ready by 12:00pm. Upon arrival there was one other person in the restaurant and four employees. After about two minutes, an employee finally asked if we were there for a pickup and after I said my name pointed to another employee to say he was making it. After waiting ten more minutes and seeing NO other orders coming out, we overheard that same employee telling a third employee that "this is for them" and pointed at us. Only then did our sandwiches get started being made. In addition to the time it took, the first employee was very dismissive and was talking on the phone through an AirPod (loudly). They sure have the right theme because, compared to other casual shops, their sandwiches are fire. I don't go to sandwich chains much these days, but Firehouse Subs has been impressive over the years. Recently, they started a Name Day promotion where you can get a free medium sub with any purchase (yes, even chips). Luckily for me, last night was Christopher day, and after a quick check of my ID, I was on my way with a to-go order. I chose the Firehouse Steak & Cheese ($6.99 medium, normally) and was pleasantly surprised to find some of the best cheesesteak flavor I've had recently. Sure, the steak portion is relatively modest, but the flavor of that augmented by provolone, mayo, mustard, onions, and even green peppers was rich. The wheat isn't amazing and felt relatively dry compared to how I recall the white bread, but it was fine. Online ordering is available, and they seem to be supported by all of the various delivery services. They're also known for their hot sauces all the way from mild to not-for-me, which you can use in-house or take in tiny plastic to-go cups. If I want a cheap to-go sandwich, I'll have to remember Firehouse. They're easily the best chain with neighborhood locations not named Capriotti's. read more
