We had boxes delivered of Firehouse subs for one of our lunches. I gave them 3 stars. I am from the Philly area and there are many excellent hoagie restaurants. These were not bad to eat. They were delivered fresh right at lunchtime. Hit a hungry spot. I would not go out of my way to Firehouse Subs but I would say they are a 3 star sub. Rolls were plain. Could use more meat. I just had the worst sub I've ever had from firehouse. A few days ago I ordered the meatball sub. You could not have asked for a better sub. Today I ordered the same thing and it was the worst. The meatballs were undercooked, the sub was not toasted. It could have qualified as a cold sub and they forgot items that were printed on the receipt. No more firehouse for me. Went to firehouse subs with my family. Manager Shawn was very rude. Yelling loudly at his employees. Every other word coming out of his mouth was a cuss word. Talking to his employee about yelling at another employee and that everyone heard him yelling at them. Making himself sound proud of himself and like he is better than anyone there. He yelled my name for our subs to be picked up. Was about to walk and get them and he yells again with an attitude. Told him I was coming and he decided to get smart with me. Yelling at me saying most customers can't hear when he yells. And it's my fault for not coming soon enough. My kids and I love Fire House but my location has been going downhill fir a little while. Never see an adult running the place the last 4 times we have been there. Ordered dine-in and got a salad that was half-full compared to what it normally is. I am assuming that one of the employees wanted to leave early because it was 6 or 6:30 and she brings out 5 big boxes of chips to stock the shelves. She slames them down one at a time right in front of us, stocks the shelves then goes to vacuum the rugs while people are standing right in front of one rug. Our delivery order tonight missing our drinks, the food was made wrong, no pickle spears or utensils to go with the chili ir napkins. The bag wasnt sealed no salad dressing to go with my salad yet all the app wanted to give me was $14 not enough for everything. The store manager is rude and lacks customer service. ordered sandwiches for pick up at a certain time, called the store around 10 minutes before pick up time to request a later time pickup due to work, she said the sandwiches were already made and will be thrown out unless I pick up these soggy sandwiches. she said they make their online orders in advance but, i picked up sandwiches twice this same week that were just being made as I arrived. she said the owner would not like if they remake the sandwiches and hung up. A few days ago, I wanted to get subs, so I sent in an order via the app. For some reason the app was malfunctioning, even after a couple of tries, I gave up. So I called in my order. When I went to pick it up, to my surprise, both orders were there!! So, after explaining the situation, I was prepared to pay for both, but mentioned I would just give the second sub to a homeless person, I had seen prior to entering the store. The manager picked up the second sub handed it to me and didn't charge me! I drove right over to the homeless man and gifted it to him with a bag of chips I purchased. Terrible customer service and manager. When the online ordering service caused an error for an order I was left without any help from an employee who told me they had no record of my order. The following day the store called me, left no voicemail, and then upon returning the call to explain that there was a problem I was told "to come get my food". After explaining that there was a problem with the website the manager asked for a call back number which I gave him. I waited all afternoon and didn't receive a call back. I ended up having to call back and was met with the rude manager once again who told me that I placed the order for pick up on a Friday. I explained that I had placed the order for Thursday night and when I went to get my food the employee didn't have my order. The website had glitched and processed my "asap" order Thursday night and changed it to Friday morning. After going back and forth with no help from the manager I finally was able to get a partial refund. When I asked for a customer service number he told me that I didn't need to call anyone else. I have contacted the Firehouse Subs website customer service and have yet to hear a response. This store regularly has been rushing customers out well before closing time, I have picked up an order and had the employee locking the door behind me when it was well before 9pm. Don't waste your time, we spent about 40 here (two large combos) they put lettuce on the steamer which doesn't have lettuce so my husband thought my Italian was his and ate half of mine, the other half of mine had about four bites and the rest was bread. I called to voice an opinion and was asked for my name and she would reimburse (thank you Amanda). Unfortunately I get there to reorder the 2 combos the next day, I tried a tuna because I didn't really fancy the "more bread than Italian" I got previously. They forget the one add on I asked for (banana pepper) and the shit is swimming around the bread, lettuce, tomato, onion is all ON the sub which was great but the tuna looked like it was placed on the damn side. We did an online order at 1:30pm with a pick-up time of 1:45pm. My husband arrives at 1:45pm and sees the food isn't at the pick-up station yet so he sits for a few minutes. About 5 minutes later and an employee calls his name and asks if he's here. Turns out that the order ticket for our online order just printed, 20 minutes after it was placed. The employee apologized profusely for the inconvenience and added the order to the queue. Another 15-20 minutes goes by and our order is ready. Meanwhile, people are walking in, ordering, and leaving with their food the whole time he is sitting there. The employees were very nice, but it was a completely lackluster experience in terms of the wait for two medium subs and two cookies that should have been ready when he arrived. The food was good, but we've enjoyed better subs at other similar restaurants. Very rude staff who sat and talked about us while we were sitting there listening to them. Made two phone calls to ensure that our large order would be OK and we were assured that it was absolutely fine. Once we got there they were very upset that we had placed the order And were very vocal about how we couldn't do this anymore and it was ridiculous that we did it at lunchtime. I have never been so angry and embarrassed at a restaurant. Worst part was one of the women who was talking about us came over to apologize and it turns out she was one of the managers. So long Subway. Firehouse doesn't know the meaning of a chintz sandwich. You can place a Subway roll side by side with a Firehouse roll and height wise, the Firehouse roll is about a. 1/4 inch taller. Next are the fillings, one word, unbelievable. The meatball's are made of much better meat/recipe, and they're the size of a golf ball. Plus, they don't take the meatball stand down an hour before they close. Are you reading this Subway?? Probably not, because your quality control is abysmal. Back to Firehouse, my current sub is the Italian, large, on wheat. There is an INCH worth of different meats on this sub. Wasn't very impressed with this visit. Usually food there is great. I order a cheesesteak no peppers and no mustard. Add lettuce and tomato and American cheese, waited longer then usual to get my meal and my cheese wasn't melted and it wasn't very warm. First visit to Firehouse Subs. Ate lunch here on a Sunday. People were nice and friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the food was delicious. There were alot of people working so we received our order quickly. I had the jerk turkey sub. The sub was delicious and the amount of turkey was substantial. They bring your food to the table. They checked back with us to make sure everything was alright. Was really impressed with the food and the service. It was also a good value. Sub, drink, and chips for two was $20. We have bought food here dozens of times and had them cater two family functions. We have never had any problem with the orders being confused or late so I don't know what's up with the customer saying they were all wrong twice in a row. The food is great, the employees helpful and friendly and the prices are reasonable. You do have to be careful if ordering online. An outfit called "seamless" which is actually Grubhub tries to route you to their website to order. Same menu but substantially higher prices. Last time the "Order online" button beside the Firehouse search result took me to "seamless". I didn't notice until the order was in. When I called to complain the person I spoke with was very difficult to understand and there was a rooster crowing in the background. Never again meet looked like it was chopped up didn't even look like the sub I ate before and didn't taste like it either. For what I paid it should have been a good meal.
