Healthy lunch is the idea today. I stopped in and ordered the Turkey, bacon and ranch sandwich on a chiabata bun, with a Sweet tea and a bag of chips. My snack was a snicker-doodle cookie. This place also does deliveries. You can order platters for your office or other people grouping activity and they deliver, within a short radius. Smoothies are the big ticket item. It all starts with the Tropical Smoothie manager, Cassie. I can't believe she still has a job. I've been going to the Martinsburg location for over 5 years. Usually they are great in service and quality. Until I had the displeasure of meeting Cassie. I was waiting on my order when a girl that had a Petsmart shirt on was getting a smoothie and asked to say a quick hi to one of the girls that worked there. Instead of saying unfortunately she was busy but she would let her know or anything professional like that she said, why what do you need her for (very rudely) and the girls responded with just saying hi and see if she needed anything before she went home. Basically Cassie continued to be rude to her. I get we all have bad days. But looking into it and working close by I have had the ability to see it first hand as well as have her be rude to me. They have been having issues with the ac in the front lobby mainly this year. As I talked to the staff I have found out that the ac in the back, you know where the food is kept and made, has been broken for the better part of three years. I have personally called OSHA due to this and they assured me they have had several complaints that they were sending out letters to the owners as well as having someone sent out there due to the minors that work there. They were working in the back and the temperatures have been, in July alone, at 109-113* recorded. That's not near the ovens and presses, just in the middle of the back room. What do you think happens to food in that heat that isn't cooked? Let alone fruit. Included is a picture off of Cassie's own snap chat. Yet they don't close the store or have someone out to fix the problem. An inspector has been out and given a hard fail because the freezers can't keep the food at the correct safe temperature due to the heat. Cassie has told the employees to leave the tips they get in the basket so she can even any drawers that are short as well as the safe. Only until the last few weeks have they started to give out tips that are handed to them. Otherwise what you put in the basket doesn't go to any of the employees. She takes hours from employees, that they've already worked, so she doesn't have to pay overtime. I know several minors work in that location. I can guarantee any parent that sees this and has a child working there are going to start asking hard questions when they find out this has been happening. Most of the staff is great just under horrible management. I'd hope the owners are looking into how she conducts herself with staff and money. read more

My children and I love this restaurant, and this is by far the best location! Consistently good food and service. We try to avoid the one in Winchester. They are always out of supplies and their smoothies are often not mixed well. We will drive farther to go to this Martinsburg location because we know the food and smoothies will always be good! read more

This location has no idea how to handle multiple customers. Everyone inside (5 groups of customers) had to wait from 5 min to 60 for their food/drink. Customers were getting skipped left and right and food was being announced for customers that weren't there. This place really needs an overhaul in management in order to survive. Anytime I ever went through drive through I was left waiting for a ridiculous amount of time for one drink and the one time I happened to order food they gave me the wrong item! The workers are rude and unwelcoming, and when I looked up their review from the health inspector I found out that their food prep area is covered in mold and they don't even wash their blenders, to say I'm thoroughly disgusted is an understatement. I used to work at this tropical smoothie years ago. It was great fast service. Nice caring and over all we would give customers a great time. I needed up leaving but still go back. And service is not good! They are very slow they talk to each other before really doing there job. I order 1 smoothie and it takes like 10 mins before I even get it. Another time I went and they didn't have lids for the drinks. I already paid for it and everything but I wish they told me before I paid or even ordered because what if they were for kids or DoorDash orders. Then you worry about it spilling or something else. Another time I was inside and it was a few hours before closing. The employees were in the back talking the floors were disgusting and nothing looked clean. And then one other time I had a family member go in and she said she was about to order. But she saw one of the cooks on the line drop a bag and pick it up if the floor with there gloves on then continue to put there food in the bag that fell on the floor with the gloves they used to pick it up to put the food in the bag. They didn't know if they switched gloves after that but she left. Now I still go there to get a smoothie every now and then. Because a smoothie hits the spot. I always love Tropical Smoothie. Great menu with wraps, sandwiches and flatbreads. I find myself ordering the Island Green smoothie most often. I plan on trying the Totally Green at sometime but this one is so good!! This location has had some issues giving me cold chicken in my sandwich and is the only TS location I've been to that calls your name and stares at you until you come pick up your order. I wasn't a huge fan of this place at first, as I found their smoothies to be overly sweet and mostly desert-like, but I have recently discovered that you can order them without added sweeteners. i have always loved tropical smoothie, but was HIGHLY disappointed today. the drink itself wasn't the problem, one specific employee was. unfortunately, i did not catch their name, but after i ordered i sat down and waited for my smoothie to be made which was not a problem for me at all. i did not mind waiting. i sat down and DIRECTLY in front of me was the food/drink prep area, i was on my phone except for maybe three times when i looked up to see if my order was done. the person making my drink said "this one is for (my name) the one that's been staring at me the entire time" LOUD and it had to be loud enough for everyone in the building to hear because im partially deaf 1. Ma'am, i wasn't looking at you 2. i would apologize if i made you uncomfortable, but you were rude asf so i very much will NOT be doing that. 3. if you're having THAT shitty of a day, perhaps next time take a moment to yourself and see if your actions are reasonable or if you're just trying to make someone else have a bad day because you are. read more

I give this two stares at first then I had to change my mind at the end... keep reading. When we pulled up to the drive through we were the first car that pulled up, and only one car later behind us. We all order our food, had two separate orders, and everything was wrong. But let me point out first, I noticed the drive through lady was rushing us...so... then we noticed was the blimey limey had a minty taste, and liquidity. It does not have mint in it. So she took it and decided to fix it (turned out good.) then I checked my moms sandwich, a chicken pesto, and it was chicken no no. Cold, soggy, and had the TOMATO SPREAD!! That didn't come with the sandwich. I ended up trading that in for a chipotle chicken club (my go to) and it was good. So we had to park and wait and get this.. we checked the all American wrap my boyfriend ordered it was so cold. My boyfriend kindly asked if he could warm it up at least and he said.... "I could put a warm egg in it for you?" LIKE WHAT? WAS IT A COLD EGG LAST TIME? I come here all the time if your on a diet each of the smoothies is a healthy meal replacement and you dont have to make it its pretty fast also and not overpriced. The food is tasty but high in calories. A major improvement would be to put the calories on the menu since they seem to be a pretty health conscience place. Id like it more if there were lower calorie options even with splenda most smoothies are 300+ calories. read more

Food is thrown together by teenage employment with little regard to cleanliness or proper food handling. We found the lettuce and carrots in our wrap covered with dirt. Yes, dirt.
