One of the best places in town to get a sandwich of various varieties what makes a good sandwich use the bread It is so soft. It's just melts in your mouth along with the other ingredients that you picked. Meat or vegetables. It's definitely worth the trip to pop in and check it out. They have side items with soup or chili and either or it's pretty good. I usually get the chili myself with the sandwich. The only thing that would be missing from that place if they would to order french fries would definitely boost it up a little to five stars maybe but I don't know. Very good sandwich chain. Id ranked it just below Potbelly and Jimmy John's but above all the rest. Lots of creative options on the menu like the BBQ Cuban or the Jamaican Jerk Turkey. I go with the Italian and swap the honey ham for grilled chicken. It's so good. I'm not big on their honey ham because it's so sweet. Love the Italian dressing here too. I'll be giving this place a LONG break for a while. I find it very frustrating that the workers behind the counter can't follow simple instructions that are listed on my online order. Not only that but I can't stand when my subs are made so sloppy (meat just balled up into a mess with everything else halfway off the sandwich). I ordered 4 small sandwiches. Two orders had the wrong bread. One of the subs only had a small spoon on tuna and a slice of cheese. They just wrapped the sandwich up forgetting to add the rest of my topping (no lettuce, tomatoes, onion)...just a bare sub. And I can't understand HOW they missed this because I order two of the same subs with the same topping. One of them they just ignored. And when I get home and call them, no one bothers to answer the phone. Just a turned off because this has happened on more than one occasion. read more

I can't say I have come to this firehouse subs for the customer service. I have come to this one because I like the food but the last time I was there I walk in and the woman behind the counter said "Hell no!" Never said a word to me other than that until my order that I pre-ordered on the app was ready 45 minutes after I arranged the time for. You can tell the staff is overworked and underpaid. Been there twice, may not return. They run out of things like onions, and don't offer trays for large orders, ùnless you ask, no utensils unless you ask, poor maintenance of equipment, the drink machine did not work properly, employees seem confused, and generally disengaged. Nowadays I abstain from a lot of different foods based on, we will say religious for the sake of understanding, reasons so I am reduced to beef, lamb, basically anything Levitical. Decided to try the beef and cheddar brisket sub which sounded delicious. It was made fresh and the first bite amazing so here I am today back to order the same thing but this time a large sub. This is a solid sub shop. I was (and still am) jonesin' for a Quiznos peppercorn steak sandwich, and the steak sandwich here was an ok substitute. This is my new favorite sub restaurant chain! The bread was soft, the workers were friendly and helpful! They even deliver and pickup your baskets for you!! I love the build your own sub with mushrooms! Nice idea on the hot sauces with levels of hotness on them! I will definitely recommend it to my friends! This is my "new favorite" sub shop! I was hesitant at first, but I gave in. I am so glad I did! The bread is fresh, and the meat is less salty than most sub shops. Soooooo delicious! The subs come in three sizes compared to two sizes in most other shops. I love their hot sauce selection at the condiment counter. Service is quick, and the selection is amazing! Very reasonably priced...Jimmy Johns (also delicious) is ridiculously priced for what you get!!! And another plus. A portion of all purchases goes to first responders across the country! I can't think of anything I'd change. I ordered the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket Sub. Tastes fantastic, love the soft bread. Most places have salads but they have chopped salads which I love and will have to try next time. The subs come in 3 sizes. The medium was enough to eat for me. Expect to spend about $10-$11 for a combo, pretty standard. Highly recommend this place. read more

This place is kinda pricey but it is pretty good. I got the Italian on wheat without mayo. I enjoyed how the bread was nice and toasty and that it tasted pretty fresh and they were generous with the toppings. I would recommend trying it out if you love subs. read more

My first visit wasn't a good one today (6/15/16, 6pm). The sub was just alright. The girl who took my order didn't mention any of the "extras" I could get for my sandwich. I didn't see that I could customize it. Service wasn't good. It took an unreasonable time (about 15 minutes) to get three simple subs when no one else was at the counter when we walked in and few people were seated. While I was waiting for my food I realized that the staff seemed kind of grumpy. I paid close attention and not a single staff member smiled once, even when they were taking care of clients after us. Seating was too close together and too close to the counter. Not very cozy. My husband likes the subs so he *may* be able to drag me back and I will hopefully catch the staff on a better day. ?? Last 2 times we were there we ordered the same thing the club on a sub and both times they forgot the bacon we usually go on Mondays after soccer practice so around 8:15p the very last time we went the girls working never gave me my discount card back which cost $20 and has quite a few restaurants on it to use at and of course they can't find it so I'm not happy about it and pry won't go back for awhile!! read more

This is becoming one of our favorite sandwich places. Really yummy fresh sandwiches, probably averages 9$-12$ per sandwich meal. While you might think, screw that I can go to subway for 5$.. go ahead..you will get exactly that...a crappy 5$ sandwich. Here you'll get a super fresh, well thought out combination of ingredients that taste fantastic! We have noticed that when the owners aren't there, the sandwiches are a little sloppy, light on ingredients and a lot slower. Theres a fella, an owner, that always has greeted us very warmly, is extremely personable, is right on it with any issues, mistakes or what not. Hes lovley. Either way we try to go at peak times(lunch) when he's there. He really goes out of his way to make your experience fantastic!! As long as they are there to manage their young staff it will stay exceptional. I've seen alot of places go down hill when the management leaves the kids in charge. The kids working here tend to be super friendly, smiley and fun. You really need to go check it out. Totally worth it!!! read more

We tried this place for the first time last night. It was ok. The staff seemed very quiet and unfriendly and not very welcoming like another reviewer commented on. Also, I observed them calling out to go orders by name and they kept getting the persons name wrong which I found very odd. When we first walked in they were trying to call out the name Colleen but the young guy behind the counter court pronounce it. When we were eating in they kept calling out Molly and finally the counter guy said to a woman waiting I think this is your order and she said my name is Monica. It was her order but gosh get your customers' names right. I had the Virginia Honey Ham small which is 8" the order taker must have asked me 3 times what I wanted in it - light mayo, tomatoes, easy lettuce. Then she kept asking do I want everything??? Again I said light mayo, tomatoes, easy lettuce. Again she asked do I want everything. Um no when my order arrived there was no tomatoes. The guy that delivered my order was great and quickly fixed it and apologizes. My hubby had the large 12" pastrami and beef brisket. This was a huge sandwich. With chips and drinks our order cost $20.98 which seemed a bit pricey. I wouldn't mind paying that price if I was blown away by the taste but the honey ham was super sweet to the point where I could barely eat it. By contrast my hubby's sandwich was super salty to the point where he couldn't finish it. I think we will give it another shot and try something different. We will definitely get it to go as the place has a very quiet odd vibe. It just seems that no one that works there is enjoying being there. read more

Really good my store had it for lunch last week and they are now requesting it again. Subs are nice and warm and the pickle is delicious!

i went down there to get 4 subs which they screwed up. they put tomato s on one which i told them i was allergic to them and the other 3 were also wrong i waited almost a half hour for my subs. i called the manager right away and she said they would give me two free subs next time i came in. so i called placed the order and i get a call back saying the owner would not honor my order. this owner is a dead beat! i will post every review site on his store. i have spent alot of money in that store and this is how they treat you. please im telling you do not go to this store. read the other reviews. this guy is a dead beat and doesnt stand behind anything. yelp here i come for another review. i will also tell every customer that comes in my store not to got there! read more

The subs are good, the building is clean, the staff is iffy at times nobody says hi or even acknowledges your existence. Also they are the slowest people that I have ever met in my entire life......ever. If you want a sub and don't have at least 2 hours to waste I suggest jimmy johns or subway. read more
